The Tag Team Title situation is where the show really flounders, as the Tag Team Battle Royal is filled with indy no-names, and crowns The Scene has lame duck challengers with no build, but much worse is having them defeat DCFC, who have carried FIP through dark times and provided their sole consistency, thus making the FIP Tag Team Championship feel has irrelevant has the soporific new champions, and gives them a ridiculously long and uneventful title reign during FIP year long hiatus. The title scene is wrecked, but the tournament still has lots of potential available for Night Two. |
