Even worse was that this was the go home show for Slamboree, and this did nothing to make you want to see the PPV at all."

Jeff Jarrett recently said that he thinks Vince Russo was doing drugs or is suffering from mental illness here. I don't blame him even if it's tasteless tbh. Every single thing doesn't make sense here and we even get Shakira in WCW! Except, it was a random model and not the singer, which made me even more upset. The clusterfuck at the main event is probably what GCW took inspiration to do the 2018 clusterfuck battle royal."

[10.0] "Vince Russo wants WCW to push new stars but the Millionaires Club is not interested in moving out of the way. So now they will fight for real in the ring. This episode of Thunder opens up with this tension manifesting via Russo limo ambush, which causes him to be so mad he books a Millionaires vs New Blood gauntlet match, no doubt influenced by the NJPW vs UWFi Tokyo Dome show. "Bro you are gonna be like Choshu and dey All matches except for the main event are under New York Rules, which not only means there are no rules but also that there is no referee, so one must count their own fall. Fair dues to all persons who make a pinfall in this show, they count at a fair, regular pace even though there's nothing in the stated rules that prevents them from just doing a really fast count. There is a lot of strategic thinking throughout the show. For example, Vince Russo hits Lex Luger with a bat while he's got The Wall in the torture rack; While this leads to The Wall falling through a table and losing the match, it means Lex Luger had a big ouchie. Think also of Sting putting Vampiro in that symbolic red liquid before his match, leading to an easy win for DDP because Vampiro is red liquid'ed up and thus cannot counter the Diamond Cutter. I just can't help but notice that Cagematch claims Flair vs Kidman ended in a no contest when 1) I hardly think that is permitted under New York Rules and 2) Kevin Nash (a former booker of WCW, I'll have you know) declares that Mike Awesome was the winner due to outside interference. So just update that why don't ya. The main event was a rip-roaring battle royal featuring the appearance of many surprise entrants. I feel a tad delirious at the moment so perhaps I couldn't fully appreciate every single detail of the storylines but anyways I'm looking forward to Western Union's Slamboree."

In another circumstance something like this could have been fun, but it's so past the point of out of control that it may as well be a parody. From an in ring standpoint I don't think I've ever seen a worse show, and the angles are dreadful. Everything about New Blood vs. Millionaire's Club is nonsense, from the face/heel dynamic to the terribly contrived nature to the fact that it puts Russo and Bischoff front and center, these egomaniacs seem to think they are the draws but the ratings show just the opposite as they are quickly crashing. Anyway, DDP gleefully beats his wife (he's the babyface), Russo shrieks on commentary and beats people with bats, people are doused in red goo, promising young talent is jobbed out in minutes, Hulk Hogan is running around being edgy, wearing black and saying his new logo is FUNB. The battle royal is the most incomprehensible thing I've ever seen, people just run down at randomly for the entire 20 minute run time, no idea who is in the match or who isn't, people eliminate themselves, they build up a big Randy Savage return and he's gone in seconds, there isn't one impressive spot in the match, and the ending is pure chaos, Russo once again is involved directly in the finish, the camera can't even catch anything important happening because like 4 angles are happening at once."
