125.07.2019Fountain of Misinformation5.0Nichts besonders gut, nichts besonderes schlecht, klassische Mittelklasse-Show von New Japan. Prince Devitt fiel mir hier in der Undercard positiv auf und war damals bereits sehr gut im Ring. Gutes Six Man Match mit dem Fokus auf Kanemoto gegen Minoru und ein langer guter Hauptkampf.
214.08.2017PUNQ4.0Very standard NJPW. El Samurai & Ryusuke Taguchi (c) -vs- Jado & Gedo - (IWGP Junior Tag Title) [**] After their title match a couple of months earlier I wasn't very hyped going into this re-match and after watching this 30 minute match I pretty much got what I had expected. Very random action the first half with the challengers pretty much in control. Just about the only thing they established was killing Taguchi's knee making it very hard for him to fight. Otherwise it was very uninteresting or not much of anything done to make you care. And with the champs comebacks pretty much coming without any fanfare the atmosphere was complete. The crowd did oooh and aaah some of the spottier moves though. There was some mildly exciting moments the ending stages, but that was more because they'd gone so long and the finish had to come soon then the quality of offense. Yuji Nagata & Hiroshi Tanahashi & Akebono -vs- Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Giant Bernard & Travis Tomko [**] Akebono shows he's still one of the hottest characters NJPW brings in and they make sure he looks good. Not that it helps Tenzan who always gets to look like a fool fighting Akebono. This match started out so promising with Bernard doing all he can to knock the big man down and the action seemed to go somewhere, but once it ended this match felt very flat. Minoru & Jushin Liger & Hirooki Goto -vs- Koji Kanemoto & Tiger Mask & Negro Casas [* 3/4] An okay match and all, but one should have gotten more out of it.
