| 1 | 06.08.2017 | PUNQ | 5.0 | Kaz Hayashi -vs- Katsuhiko Nakajima - (Junior Heavyweight League - Final) [*** 1/2] Hayashi's best performance of 2006. He was in a very American mood with overly muscular body and animated facials playing the heel of the match effectively making Nakajima the crowd favorite. Nakajima kept coming with his stiff leg strikes with Hayashi at the same time was working on weakening the kicking leg and was having good luck doing it including a big spot where he drove Nakajima's knee off the apron and rammed it into the railings and even a Asai moonsault as Nakajima had his leg wrapped over the top rope. Nakajima tried to fighting off the pain wanting to come with more kicks, but his strikes were never the same again! A damn exciting bout! Satoshi Kojima -vs- Taiyo Kea - (Triple Crown Title) [** 1/2] Kea, the Champion Carnival '06 winner finally gets his shot at the legendary belts. Kojima had a serious face on him and didn't have much of that Kojima charm about him for this match. He was more struggling to get into the fight and Kea managed to be almost equal to him. But a lot of this match was the two almost feeling each other out and not getting much of a gameplan in. They took what they got. What kind of was the only special thing wrestling wise was Kea doing Giant Baba wrestling - Russian Legsweep, Northern Chop, neckbreaker drop - which worked wonders for him letting him gain the advantage. Probable the best thing was Taka Michinoku crying during the celebration! |
