Nicholls und Jackson sahen hier z. B. ziemlich gut aus, ich war positiv überrascht. Travis Tomko passte optisch und von der Statuer her zu Giant Bernard. |
| 2 | 14.08.2017 | PUNQ | 4.0 | This show was fun and kind of promising the first half, but more or less dropped in quality the later half. Giant Bernard & Travis Tomko -vs- Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii - (IWGP Provisional Tag Title Tournament - Semi-Final) [** 1/4] Well since Masahiro Chono is injured NJPW has decided to have a 4-team tournament crowing substitute tag champions with the NJPW's main midcard team of Yano & Ishii facing the monster gaijin team of Giant Bernard and fellow former WWE superstar Tomko on his first tour with NJPW. While Tomko is no miracle worker he's a decent addition to the NJPW roster freshing it up a bit making a pretty fears team with Bernard. But the best part of the match was little muscleman Ishii being a chickenshit rat punking the big elephant Bernard ambushing him then run hiding. He did this several times with Bernard going after him. Shiro Koshinaka & Togi Makabe -vs- Yuji Nagata & Naofumi Yamamoto - (IWGP Provisional Tag Title Tournament - Semi-Final) [**] A enjoyable one without reaching any big heights. The former IWGP Tag Title challengers Nagata & Yamamoto facing the more randomly put together teams of NJPW's Makabe and freelancer Koshinaka with Koshinaka as usual bringing that ass of his filling the place with love. Tiger Mask & Wataru Inoue -vs- Negro Casas & Black Tiger [** 1/4] A pretty good bout. The wrestling was solid and they displayed some good wrestling busting out some of their bigger moves. Even Black Tiger was on form and worked really well with Inoue. |
