| 3 | 11.11.2021 | arrancar | 7.0 | A strong 2nd half made this one of the better DG PPVs. Opener was solid but too short. **. Swann & Susumu vs Horiguchi & Saito was pretty fun. Swann's goofiness and melodrama were kept to a minimum, while his flashy movements were rightfully highlighted. Susumu's strike were fun too. Horiguchi and Saito's control work and tag chemistry was good. The frantic finishing stretch helped bump this up. ***1/4. Fuji, Ichikawa & Takayama vs Kzy, Tanizaki & Tomahawk had some great comedy due to the hilarity of Ichikawa, Fuji, and Takayama playing off each other. **1/2. The Triangle Gate match was one of those 'generic' DG multi-man spotfests that still managed to be quite good. Both teams played their respective roles well. Junction Three showed good energy and passion as they struggled to survive the Blood Warriors' onslaught and eventually stage their comeback. The constantly changing pairings, frantic move trades, and many run-on sequences were naturally the most exciting part of the match, with all 6 guys impressing. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Shingo vs Tozawa was really good, though quite below what I'd call 'great'. Tozawa showed good charisma as the recently returned ex-rookie out to prove himself superior to his old senior, displayed through his many expertly executed attacks. Shingo showed off his trademark powerhouse offence in impressive style whenever he wasn't being dominated (which sadly wasn't too often). Their chemistry was strong, and though their exchanges were really fun, they were also quite unoriginal and generically structured at times. ***1/2. Kid & Pac vs Cima & Ricochet was a very strong multi-man spotfest. Aside from the few story elements of the Blood Warriors' fun heel work, Kid's convincing babyface-selling, and Pac and Ricochet's oneupmanship game, this was most notable for being a series of increasingly exciting, creative, and fantastically executed stunts and bombs one after the other. It definitely went overkill at the end, but not without impressing a lot in the process. ***3/4. Mochizuki vs Hulk was the definition of a 'kickfest'. Their variety of kicks were all performed fantastically, and both played their respective face and heel roles very well at the same time. I really enjoyed the dual-limbwork story they told, with Mochizuki doing a great job targeting Hulk's legs and Hulk doing a great job targeting Mochizuki's arm. It was a massive shame -- though still totally expected -- to see both men drop their limb-selling in the long term in favour of hitting all their big spots and trades. That held the match back quite a bit. Apart from that, it was fun seeing all their sweet kick trades, and it became very exciting seeing Hulk legitimately threaten getting the win. They captured an awesome atmosphere at the end, but then it quickly ended with Mochizuki getting a rather force comeback after all of Hulk's onslaught. Better selling and a few minutes longer would have made this amazing. ***3/4 - **** |

| 8 | 08.12.2011 | ARIZA | 8.0 | Und wieder ein guter PPV von Dragon Gate. AraIwa gegen KAGETORA und Shisa war in Ordnung als Opener. Dann gab es viel gelaber und ein cooles Rapbattle zwischen Kzy und Rich Swann. Das Match danach war in Ordnung. Stalker, Takayama und Fujii gegen die BW-Jobber war nicht toll, auch wenn Kzy und Tanisaki großartige Heels sind. YAMATO, Yoshino und Gamma vs. Doi, Kanda und Kong war nett. Tozawa gegen Shingo war stark und MOTN. PK1 gegen die Spiked Mohicans war auch gut, genauso wie der Main Event, der mir aber zu lange war. |
| 9 | 18.10.2011 | Rated R Champ | 9.0 | Großartiger PPV den Dragon Gate hier abliefert, kein schwaches Match dabei, dafür eine verdammt starke zweite Hälfte mit gleich 4 sehr starken Matches. Die Blood Warriors-Junction Three-Story zieht sich durch alle Matches und ist wirklich schön umgesetzt (soweit ich das ohne Japanischkenntnisse mitbekommen habe). Ausserdem gab es, anders als ich es erwartet hatte und obwohl den Abend über eine Tonne Spots abgebrannt wurden, keinen Overkill (den man ja sonst gerne mal bei DG sieht). Das waren mehr als 4 Stunden die sich gelohnt haben. |

Kein Match war schlecht, die drei letzten waren unglaublich gut. Im Mainevent hat Mochizuki jedesmal mit seinen (Axe)kicks versucht Bxb zu enthaupten. Tozawa hat eine unglaubliche Steigerung hinter sich und Ich war überrascht wie gut er in dem Match gegen Takagi war. Wirklich ein toller PPV, wo kein einziges mal langeweile aufkam und der Main Event war klasse. |

Kein schlechtes Match und für mich 3 starke Highlights und zwar die letzten 3 Matches also Tozawa vs. SHingo, indem Tozawa wirklich zeigt wie gut er sicht entwickelt hat in den Staaten und bestreitet hier wohl sein erstes großes Single Match in Japan im PPV. Twin Gate Titel Match hat eine unglaubliche Schlussphase was man eigentlich als Nearfall-Overkill bezeichnen müsste aber ich war einfach von den spekaktulären Moves völlig begeistert, sodass es mich nicht gestört hat. Nur die Heel Face Verteilung fand ich nicht ganz so gut, da ich glaube dass dieses Match auch Face vs. Face funktioniert hätte und vermutlich auch besser gewesen wäre. Aber gut das gehörte halt zur großen Junction Three vs. Blood Warriors Story, um die sich eigentlich der ganze PPV drehte. So gab es auch unzählige Eingriffe von drausen was mich mit der Zeit schon etwas gestört hat aber nunmal zur Story gehört. Auch der Main Event war dann sehr gut auch wenn mir die DG Main Events meistens leider nicht so gefallen. Auch bei der Show fand ich z. B. das Single zwischn Tozawa und Shingo nen Tick besser auch wenn der Mainer stark war. BxB Hulk hätte ich hier wirklich den Titelgewinn gewünscht und es ihm gegönnt aber das macht die Show jetzt nicht schlechter. |
