[6.0] "As a prelude to ECW opening as a WWE brand, this event was perfectly fine. As a prelude to ONS '06, however, this show wasn't great. RVD v Mysterio was the only match better than "alright, " the Orton and Angle promo was a bit stale, the battle royal wasted twenty minutes of my time, and the battle of the commentary teams was more heated than most of the show. This event did little but bury ECW originals. Foley's promo, RVD v Mysterio, and the knowledge that Cena lost the title later in the week after this disappointing main event were about all that made this worth watching."

[5.0] "The positives of the show more or less end for me after the opener, which admittedly was pretty good. But Lawler, Styles & Taz get increasingly annoying as the show goes, I just hope JR knows he wasn't alone in receiving a migraine over the course of the show, but do feel for the fact he was caught right in the middle of it as he was actually trying to call the show and organically build excitement. But I suppose that just further confirms that JR was miles ahead in quality to the other 3 commentators as of 2006. While the battle royal and Edge vs Dreamer was just eh and did minimal to drum up build to ONS 06, I am at least 'neutral' to Cena v Sabu. I don't know, this was a fine enough watch but didn't achieve a lot to build up hype for the 'return of ECW'. And I just have to complain one more time about the commentary, especially in terms of Taz & Lawler's match that was impending the following Sunday. By the time the show is done, you don't want to see them in the same room again, let alone have a 'match'. And of course in the end Taz v Lawler at ONS was a glorified confrontation, but that only further flummoxes me that I had to hear them blather on like stuck records. But hey, as far as a Vince McMahon owned ECW can go, it could have gone a lot worse, as we would eventually go on to sadly see"

[7.0] "Super Show um sich auf den kommenden One Night Stand PPV und das ECW Revival einzustimmen. Besonders cool fand ich die beiden unterschiedlichen Eingänge für WWE Superstars und ECW Wrestler. Das Highlight stellte ohne Frage der Opener dar, die meisten Matches waren leider etwas kurz, was aber natürlich der Sendezeit geschuldet ist, Schade natürlich dass Sabus Match gegen John Cena, ähnlich wie das kommende gegen Rey Mysterio, aus Gimmickgründen wieder in einer DQ endete."

[6.0] "Watching this show, one of the things that sticks out to me is how overbearing the commentary was at times, to the point of almost distracting from matches. Other than that, solid show, has the frantic chaotic energy one expects and enjoys from ECW, worth a watch from a wrestling history viewpoint - seeing the beginnings of WWE ECW and what it would eventually become"

[9.0] "I thought this was a very entertaining show and a great setup to one night stand and what to expect their was some solid matches and great segments."

[7.0] "Unterhaltsamer Schlagabtausch zwischen WWE und ECW, der seinen Zweck erfüllt und gelungen auf den kommenden PPV und die Wiederauferstehung von ECW einstimmt. Die Segmente hier sind allesamt ganz nett, vor allem die Wortgefechte der Kommentatoren und die Promo von Mick Foley wissen zu gefallen. Allerdings ist das Segment mit Angle und Orton auch ganz nett. Wrestlerisch weiß der Opener zu gefallen, während Edge vs. Dreamer auch interessant endet, wenngleich zuvor der Table Spot misslingt und der Rated R Superstar unsanft landet. Über die DQ im Main Event hüllen wir mal den Mantel des Schweigens. Insgesamt ist das hier aber dennoch auf jeden Fall einen Blick wert."

[6.0] "Durchschnittlicher WWE Live Event. Der Opener war gut. Bevor es zum Match kam bekriegten sich Tazz und Lawler. Warum zum Teufel ist Tazz neben Joey Styles ohne jegliche Begründung? GENAU. SmackDown war ja dienstags und da hat Tazz gesagt er geht zu ECW und dieser Event fand an einem Mittwoch stand. Total deplaziert. Zum eigentlichen Match war das eine starke Leistung. Mysterio als World Heavyweight Champion ist sowas von mangelhaft und verlor wieder einmal. Angle schämt sich nicht bei ECW zu sein und Orton ist offiziell ein Teil des RAW Rosters. Bei ECW One Night Stand wird das eine sehr interessante Partie. Die Divas waren schlecht. Jazz und ECW? Habe ich was verpasst? Warum ausgerechnet sie? Konnte man Francine nicht holen? Die WWE vs ECW Battle Royal war in Ordnung. Hier war der Beweis warum das SmackDown Roster so grottig war. Matt Hardy mit Tatanka und Mark Henry flogen so schnell raus und Nunzio hat sich auch zu ECW verabschiedet. Big Show geht auch zu ECW warum auch immer. Dreamer vs Edge war solide. Leider zu kurz und der eine Tisch Spot am Ende war verbotcht. Foley mit einer grandiosen Anti ECW Promo. Einfach nur Top. Der Main-Event war schlecht. Sabu jagt Cena quer durch das Match. Das absolute lächerliche war ja das war ein Extreme Rules Match wurde aber durch ein DQ beendet weil Big Show eingriff. WTF? Dann kam der obligatorische ECW vs WWE Brawl zur Mitnahme für den PPV."

[8.0] "Toller Vorgeschmack auf den zweiten One Night Stand mit einem überraschendem Turn von The Big Show, der interessanten Fortführung der Foley/Edge/Dreamer/Funk-Fehde und auch einem wrestlerischem Highlight mit dem Leckerbissen zwischen Rob van Dam und Rey Mysterio. Der wahre Höhepunkt der Show war aber die gigantisch gute Promo von Mick Foley."

[6.0] "Keine so berauschende Show, die Matches an sich waren doch eher durchschnitt, mit einer Außnahme, das Match RVD vs. Rey Mysterio war für mich das Highlight des Abends!"
