[5.0] "An average PPV with only a couple of matches that were good and the rest were not that good. Brian Kendrick & Paul London vs Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro: A solid PPV opener with the title change being the right choice, Kendrick and London showcased their high flying ability and Melina did get involved from the outside which did not need to happen [***1/4]. Chris Benoit vs Finlay: MOTN, they had a match that had a feeling of old school wrestling and had great chemistry, Finlay gave a good fight even in defeat, Benoit submitting Finlay was interesting [****]. Jillian vs Melina: A not good match with a terrible booked ending with Jillian pinning Melina whilst Melina had her hand on the rope [DUD]. Gregory Helms vs Super Crazy: A fine cruiserweight title match with Crazy starting off fast but Helms ultimately got control and won the match [**1/2]. Mark Henry vs Kurt Angle: A match that could have been booked much better, was not that long in time and the ending was not that good [**]. Booker T vs Bobby Lashley: For the KOTR Final match it was underwhelming as they did not have a bad match but could have been better, Finlay getting involved to help Booker win the match was not good [*3/4]. The Great Khali vs The Undertaker: Terrible match, not even worth watching, the action was slow and plodded along [-*]. Rey Mysterio vs JBL: A fine world title match that had not much build and not much heat, JBL was too cocky in this one and got the better of him, Rey proving once again he is the underdog [**1/4]"

[5.0] "About as typical a Smackdown PPV for 2006 as you can get. This show symbolizes the failings of Smackdown around this time. 2006 Smackdown had a handful of guys that drew people to the show. And the quality of the show depended on what those guys were doing. Angle, Undertaker, and Mysterio are all wasted and put into pretty awful feuds and don't deliver on this night. This essentially leaves Benoit carrying the entire show, and while the match with Finlay is excellent, it isn't THAT good. There are no stipulations on this card, so you can't get excitement that way either. This entire show hinges on feuds and storylines, and while it certainly isn't a terrible event, it is lackluster without a doubt."

[7.0] "A very good PPV with one match absolutely stealing my heart here - Finlay vs Benoit caught me by surprise with how old-school that was and I couldn't take my eyes off it. Best match of the night, but other stuff wasn't bad either. The opener was decent with Kendrick and London showing some impressive high-flying offense, Helms vs Crazy was a solid cruiserweight bout and the main event had a rotten build, but the contest itself was a well done underdog match with Rey and JBL showing some nice chemistry with each other. Apart from that Lashley vs Booker and Henry vs Angle weren't bad, but nothing to write home about and Taker did the best he could with Khali, but he couldn't get anything exciting out of a guy who's only talent was being tall. So a very solid show with some good stuff and worth checking out especially for that Finlay vs Benoit match."

"This is an underrated PPV with a really good main event which seems weaker in comparison as it didn't really feel like a world title match thanks to Reys bad booking as world champion. Great match between Benoit and Finlay was the highlight apart from the main event."

[8.0] "This was actually a pretty good PPV that looks a bit rough on paper. Especially considering how poorly Rey was booked going into this. But Benoit/Finlay and the tag title match were great. Rey/JBL was pretty good, Super Crazy/Helms was fun. Booker/Lashley wasn't amazing but not bad either and Booker T is hilarious. The Taker/Khali squash had some great selling by Taker even if Khali was horribly immobile. Jillian/Melina was decent for the time it got. And Henry/Angle was decent as well. There wasn't a dreadful match or anything."

[6.0] "This show was fairly good. There were only three matches I would call good to great. Those would be the tag title match, Benoit vs Finlay, and Mysterio vs JBL. There were some pretty decent matches like Super Crazy vs Gregory Helms and Mark Henry vs Kurt Angle. The tag team match was a really good opener. Both teams worked really well and there was good drama with London and Kendrick trying to win the titles. It was great seeing them win the belts. Benoit vs Finlay was match of the night. The two were very tough and were brutal with each other. It was an awesome technical match as well as a great fight. Mysterio vs JBL was really good with Mysterio having to fight back from a beating. It was really cool seeing him get blood through the mask. The crowd loved Mysterio and JBL was a good heel. The decent matches were just alright matches that were worth seeing on a ppv and didn't hinder the show. Super crazy was pretty impressive in his match. The crowd was going crazy for Angle in his match. Henry was a dominant monster that left Angle out for the count. The postmatch was pretty good. I was not very into Booker T vs Bobby Lashley. The match wasn't very good but it was interesting having the King of the Ring finals on the show. Jillian Hall vs Melina was second worst match on the show. It saved itself because I liked that Jillian won and I appreciated how well her selling was. The whole thing with MNM going from bad to worse throughout the show was really fun with them breaking up to eventually Nitro and Melina getting fired. Undertaker vs Great Khali was the worst on the show. It was just really boring and wasn't much of a match since it was short."

[4.0] "Kinda what you expect from a SD only ppv in 2006. Rey/JBL never really gets going, a very poor start to Rey's title reign. Khali/Taker is exactly what you expect, plodding, boring affair. Booker/Lashley is ok, Booker's facial expressions are the highlight. Henry/Angle is slightly better than their Rumble match but is still fairly poor. Helms/Crazy is your standard cruiserweight match, good in ring action but no one really cares. Jillian/Melina doesn't matter at all, not worth your time. Benoit/Finlay is fantastic, one of the best matches of the year, they absolutely beat the hell out of each other. Opening tag title match is decent, London/Kendrick are very good as a tag team. Below average in my opinion."

[6.0] "Considering it's a Smackdown brand only, it's okay and it has most good matches than bad ones. Rey Mysterio vs JBL isn't special at all, classic first defense of a title. Khali vs Undertaker is easy to appreciate more on a second watch when you know Khali's limits in the ring. The final of King of the Ring is okay but forgettable. The first two matches stole the show, Chris Benoit vs Finlay is a classic and deserves to be watched."
