124.03.2024TigerDiver8.0Superstars continued to heat up with two major happenings. It started with the long-awaited suspension of crooked referee Danny Davis -- an important development in the WWF midcard scene -- turning Davis into an official wrestler who is now managed by Jimmy Hart. And, of course, we have the Piper's Pit segment, where Hulk Hogan accepted the challenge of Andre The Giant last week, setting the stage for the main event of WrestleMania III. Hogan was fantastic here, selling the emotion of the situation flawlessly, with his final scream of "YES! " sounding and looking especially powerful. It was another tremendous piece in the Hogan/Andre saga. There were also comments from people around the Federation regarding the Hogan/Andre situation appearing on the program from time to time, which I thought was a wonderful touch. Unfortunately, as far as in-ring action goes, there was not a lot to offer. The Can-Am had the best squash as usual, though the rest were decent at best and didn't really stand out at all.
224.06.2023CMFunk0077.0The highlight of this show was the Piper's Pit segment with Hulk Hogan, with Hogan pouring out his heart about Andre's betrayal before finally accepting his challenge at Wrestlemania 3. Danny Davis gets suspended by Jack Tunney and joins the Hart Foundation. The squash matches were nothing special, but the show is classic just for the Hogan segment.
