[5.0] "In terms of in-ring action, the first (televised) match is easily the best; Savage and Honky worked well together and this is among the very best matches of the latter. Bundy vs Orndorff was OK, Hogan vs Sika was underwhelming (Sika as a single wasn't really a great choice of opponent for Hogan) and the Tag Title match between the Harts and Young Stallions was OK for the time it was given, but ultimately a very short TV match. The historic significance elevates the show a bit above the "adequate" level, as the events surrounding the Savage-Honky match and its aftermath would see the official formation of Savage and Hogan as the Mega Powers, and as an added bonus we got the premier of the awesomely-cheesy and cheesily-awesome music video for "Piledriver" from the second Wrestling Album."

[6.0] "THE FORMATION OF THE MEGA POWERS. This was a fine addition of SNME. Randy vs hinky tonk man was decent but the aftermath was what was the best thing on the show. The wwf title match was boring so was king kong bundy vs paul orndorff. Tag match was fine"

[4.0] "Uneven show with a good opener, two average matches and a bad one between Hogan and Sika. Sika's gimmick is otherwise problematic. The non-match angles were rather interesting, notably with the Hogan-Savage and Andre-Bundy pairings. The clip on the construction site was a bit of fun, but unfortunately tinged with sexism. In-ring quality: 2.25/5. Non-match angles and segments: 0.75/3. Bonus/Malus: a few passages close to racism and sexism, but Sika's problematic gimmick malus is already included in her match score -1 Total: 4/10. Show seen on WWE Network."

[6.0] "This is a solid and pretty important show in WWF history with the Mega Powers forming here. I was really over seeing Sika on this show; I really didn't like his singles run and the stuff with the Chicken (even if fake) was gross. Randy Savage was my MVP once again on this show after a really good performance between having a good match with HTM and the Mega Powers forming. I was disappointed in Paul Orndorf's performance and direction on this show."

[7.0] "The formation of the Mega-Powers was historic and happened during the Savage/Honky Tonk Man match on this card. The other matches were so much less impactful that no one remembers them hardly at all. I vaguely remember Orndorff and Bundy, but this show was remembered for one match only..."

The savge vs htm match was ok tho it felt mostly like just somthing they had to do to set up the post match (5.5/10) Hogan vs sika was a mistake (2/10) Bundy vs orndorff was not that bad (3/10) And the hearts vs the stalions happend (3/10) Over all with the exption of that handshake thi show was mostly nothing so ill give it a 3.5 leaning twords a 3 Mvp was savge for making a honky match that was not boring."

[4.0] "The IC title match between Honky and Savage was a really fun watch, and the angle that followed that match was some piece of business! Highly recommended. Apart from that, however, I don't think I can say the same thing about anything else. Most matches were decent/watchable at best, and maybe it's just me that was expecting a little bit more, but honestly I'd say it was otherwise quite skippable. Make sure you see the whole Savage/Honky/Hogan deal, though! Overall: [4/10]"

[8.0] "Fun edition of SNME! Savage/HTM is ok as a match but the post match angle is just awesome, Honky and the Hart Foundation looking to put Savage on the shelf for good, only for Liz to bring a nonplussed Hogan to the ring, and when Hogan sees 3 men trying to take out 1, he goes into battle mode and clears the ring! The birth of the Mega Powers is very well executed and would inform a lot of the next year and a half in terms of main event story. Sadly this is followed up by a pretty bad title match, Hogan vs. Roman Reigns' father, and let me tell you, anyone complaining about Reigns should be forced to watch his dad for a while, yikes he is bad. It picks way up again after that with my match of the night, a really good bout between Orndorff and Bundy as the Heenan Family explodes! Orndorff had just fired Heenan (for the second time) and the rarely-seen-by-then Bundy was out to make him pay a penalty. Especially notable for being the return of Andre the Giant, who had barely been seen since 'Mania, still in the corner of the Heenan Family and making his presence felt at ringside. The last match is a very solid tag bout, all four men seemed fired up and ready to go. And it must be said, the "Piledriver" music video is pretty hilarious! Also good commentary, lots of Heenan trying to get one over on Vince, they clearly had fun together. Good show here, title match aside."

[5.0] "Not a great show, it starts the formation of the Mega Powers with Randy Savage becoming a fan favorite. There aren't good matches, the skits are interesting and the Piledriver video was hilarious and very '80s Rock. It was the prototype of the future Night of Champions, with three titles on the line."
