[3.0] "Edge Vs Ziggler was fantastic, but everything else about this show is such a drag with Miz Vs Orton being weak, the WWE Divas Title fatal four way was awful, and the 40 men royal rumble match was way too long with more midcarders and jobbers than real main eventers to truly win the match, and showed that the traditional royal rumble doesn't need any more people in it. Overall WWE Royal Rumble (2011) is a bad show, and it's a showcase of how bad of a period the first half of the 2010s were for Royal Rumble."

[6.0] "A pretty average card with the opener being the match of the night in my opinion. The rumble was solid with some cool spots but the women's match wasn't great and the WWE title match was pretty boring with not a lot of big moves. I think my favorite part of the show honestly was Hornswoggle having a little run in the rumble match with some help from Cena. 3 stars at best."

While I don't think this event has anything that truly stands out and will entice you to revisit with any frequency, it is absolutely good enough to pop on and enjoy with no dead spots. For me, the Rumble itself was the best match by far, but I'm glad they never did a 40 man Rumble again after this. You can't go wrong with this show, but it's not a momentous event either."

[4.0] "Edge and Dolph Ziggler was a great opener, easily match of the night, the rest of the show sucked. Randy Orton tried to carry The Miz, but the match ended up being boring and fell flat, the diva's match was the diva's match, and the 40 Man Royal Rumble match was far too long and featured more mid carders/jobbers than main eventers (probably due to the lack of star power during the time). Early 2011 was just bad for WWE."

[7.0] "Edge vs Dolph Ziggler: This took some time to get going but the drama was there near the end. Not an epic, but a good solid match that had some drama before the hero retained in the end. (8/10) The Miz vs Randy Orton: I'm a big Miz fan but some of these main event level matches just don't hold all that well. What we got here wasn't terrible but it also needed to be at least five minutes shorter. (5/10) Layla vs Michelle McCool vs Eve Torres vs Natalya: The wrestling wasn't bad and there was a story, but you could see how unimportant all of this was in the grand scheme of things. (6/10) Royal Rumble Match: Good rumble and worth your time. (8/10)"

The opening match was very good and Match of the Night. The Miz Vs Randy Orton was disappointing but still good. The Fatal Four Way was surprisingly decent. And the Royal Rumble match was also very good and fun. Overall 8/10."

[9.0] "This was a great show, simply put. Ziggler and Edge had a serious Match of the Year candidate to open things up, Miz and Orton had a fine match, and even the divas showed a bit of effort. This had to be the best Rumble in years as the match itself delivered a huge surprise winner in Alberto Del Rio and they were able to integrate several angles and feuds into the match to set up the road to Wrestlemania. WWE definitely delivers big time with their first PPV of 2011, easy Thumbs Up"
