[7.0] "This was a really good show that without a couple of weak points late in the show I think would've been a great show. The best match of the night was the main event of the G1 Final; which was an awesome match. I thought all the G1 matches were good here, it was the tag matches late in the show I didn't care for; with my least favourite being the six man. I wasn't sure looking at this card going in, but I think the right guy won the G1 on this night in Satoshi Kojima."
[8.0] "Go Shiozaki vs. Shinsuke Nakamura These two had another match later this month which was great but this way better for numerous reasons. I think Go is a great babyface in terms of selling but he frequently fails to create sympathy and a connection with the crowd so him going toe to toe with Nakamura was just more pleasant to watch. The crowd responded to both men very well and it made the match all more great. Highly physical match with both two top stars in their companies beating the heck out of each other for 30 minutes. Awesome. ****½ Hirooki Goto vs. Satoshi Kojima Mix bag. Whilst the wrestling was there, Goto tagretting the arm of Kojima all matc really well but getting outsmarted by the veteran story was good but it didn? t grab me like it should? ve and Kojima? s selling of the arm was spotty and not nearly as convincing as it should've been. *** Manabu Nakanishi vs. Tetsuya Naito This was a pretty fun match. Classic smaller and younger wrestler vs the bigger and older wrestler rotinune but it had a few sprinkles of comedy around. Nakanishi brought a dominating presence to the match to help Naito who was very closed off in a way that I can? t explain. But this was a good match. ***¼ Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Togi Makabe Great match between two greats. Makabe brought the rugged toughness of the match, Tanahashi the fire and flamboyancy to the match. The crowd was electric of the match as was I. **** Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Satoshi Kojima Incredible match. The atmosphere was electric. With Kojima throughout everything and despite Tanahashi? s efforts, refused to be sucked into the High Fly Flow. Everytime he was on the floor, he showed great urgency to move and get up. Tanahashi being relentless going after the arm of Kojima like Goto did, doing everything to keep him down even using the pin that he beat Makabe with earlier in the show. Tremendous storytelling. ****¼"
[8.0] "Top-Show mit durchweg guten Matches.
