1 | 16.06.2018 | Paul Allain | 5.0 | The undercard is rather poor, with Batts/Juan being non-descript, Kahagas/Stevens being little more than a cameo, Banks/Steel being dull and 911/Deuce being an atrocious mess. Strong/Whitmer as a much better structure, highlighting Roderick's brutal Strong Style. The Elimination match had an odd structure, but at least a reliable midcarder got the win. The uppercard was really good, with DP Associates asserting their dominance on the tag team scene early, also provoking the heel turn of Insane Dragon and kickstarting their long-standing rivalry with the babyface locker room led by Jerelle Clark. The main event was truly special, as the Falls Count Anywhere was used creatively and transported the match outside, making use of the environment, as well as all the way to a strip club, featuring offense that you will never again see in a wrestling match. The numerous cuts make for an incomplete experience, but the match is truly memorable and unique. The last two matches save the show, which before was barely passable as it comes to wrestling action, but did establish an early pecking order and gave most victory to the right people FIP can count on, making it an effective building block forthe promotion's future. |
