Besides Joe and Daniels, the match between Styles and Tanahashi is perhaps also worth mentioning. But then we have the old problem again that nothing really stands out in the midcard; despite some interesting constellations, only absolute TV quality is presented. Neither the stories nor the ring action are raising the bar in terms of content. The only ones who are really working their asses off here are Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels. |

| 4 | 09.05.2025 | ThePinkLily | 6.0 | It started as a good episode of Impact, then turned into a bad episode of Impact, and eventual found it's way to decent PPV territory. The first three matches are run of the mill from TNA with an obligatory Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin tag match, an expectedly not great match from the don't call them the New Age Outlaws, and a fast paced no stakes match from AJ "Im Really Good At Wrestling" Styles. The turning point is the Raven match, which is VS Sean Waltman but is actually against Larry Zbyszko. If you don't like Raven you won't like this match. If you don't like authority figure Larry Z you won't like this match. If you don't like both you really won't like this match. Unfortunately I enjoy both so I had enough fun to overlook Pac with a beergut. The next 3 matches (yes this is a long card) are flagrant misuse of some of the top talent on the roster (maybe the didn't want to take away from Sting). They misused Bobby Roode and The Truth by having interference from Konan cost Truth the match and to make us sad by reminding us all that we no longer have The 3LK, They put Rhino and Abyss in a clash of huge slabs of meat that went 3-4 minutes too long and featured too much James Mitchell (also NO TACKS! I thought this was a TNA PPV gosh dangit! ), and then carried out the greatest injustice of all by forcing the great AMW go up against.... the Dudleys....yippee(don't expect a lot of technical wrestling here folks). The double main event does bring it back around in a big way as Joe and Daniels had one of , without exaggeration, the best matches in TNA up until this point in it's history, I really wish it closed the show. The closer was the in ring debut of Sting for TNA after the dissolution of WCW years prior which is understandable why it closed. The story was great, the work was as to be suspected, but the end had too many shenanigans it should have been a clean Sting win. Biggest complaint about the whole event is not using prime Monty Brown somewhere else on the card. But seeing what they did with Abyss, Roode, and Elix Skipper on this card I wouldn't imagine it would have been great. Out of 9 matches 3 are quality (4 if you include Ravens match which I do.. quoth the Raven "Nevermore") 3(or 2) are decent or unexceptional and 3 are just bad. (6) |

Was ist noch zu das Main Event zu erwähnen das fand ich auch richtig gut (***). |

Es gibt einfach das typische TNA Programm, schönes Spotfest als Opener, fragwürdie Bookingentscheidungen, unnötige und zu viele Matchpaarungen, Hardcore-Action mit Raven und Abyss, Overbooking im Main Event und ein fantastisches Wrestling Match um den X-Divison Title. Erwähnenswert ist zudem noch das aufeinandertreffen zwischen Styles und Tanahashi, seinerzeit ein absolutes Dream-Match, doch leider schafft es TNA nicht den beiden die verdiente Matchdauer für einen Klassiker zu geben. Ein passables Match ist es aber trotzdem geworden, auch wenn das Ende stinkt. Insgesamt dann noch ein ordentlicher PPV, da dieser immerhin mit Joe vs. Daniels ein MOTYC zu bieten hat. |

I appreciate the main event, maybe the match I liked more of the event. It's rare to see a match where everything seems perfect, great return of Sting and good moment for Christian Cage. My disappointment is with AMW vs Team 3D, the conclusion of the match is annoying and unacceptable. |

Das folgende Tag Team Match ist belanglos. Die Story um die James Gang und Konnan interessiert mich einfach nicht die Bohne. Styles vs Tanahashi ist natürlich ein Dream-Match auch wenn das hier nicht ganz das Niveau hat. Aber ist schon spannend einen solchen Leckerbissen in der Under- bis Midcard zu verstecken. Die folgenden drei Matches sind alle irgendwie nur da. Auch wenn es bei Raven vs Waltman um Ranven's Zukunft bei TNA geht, interessiert mich das Match nicht die Bohne. Keins der Matches ist ein Totalausfall, aber gute Unterhaltung sieht auch definitiv anders aus. Nach gutem Beginn ein ziemlich Hänger im PPV. AMW vs Team 3D ist dann wieder ein besseres Match auch wenn beide es definitiv noch besser können. Hat mich aber deutlich mehr unterhalten als das belanglose Tables-Match vom letzten PPV. Einzig das Finish war mal wieder typsich TNA. Joe vs Daniels war dann klar das MotN auch wenn es nicht ganz so gut war wie die letzten X-Divison Titelmatches. Das Finish war aber logisch und gut umgesetzt. Danach folgte dann der übliche TNA Main Event Wahnsinn. Eigentlich kann man die Events immer locker nach dem X-Division Match ausmachen. Verpassen würde man nichts (o. k. Sting's Rückkehr). Wrestlerisch und booking technisch war das mal wieder arg dünn. Insgesamt ein passable PPV mit einem guten Beginn und ziemlichen Loch in der Mitte. Zwei guten Titelmatches und dem gewohnt schwachen Main Event. Macht bei mir 6 Punkte. |
