Bret Hart: "Right off the bat, I just wanna take this opportunity to congratulate Shawn Michaels on an absolutely incredible, epic, story book career. And nobody knows better than I do that Shawn Michaels was not only one of the greatest wrestlers that I ever stepped in the ring with, but he was one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. And coming from the Hitman, I just wanna wish you all the very best in the future. When I came back to the WWE, it was Shawn Michaels that said 'Good things are gonna happen'. And he was right. I finally found the closure that I was looking for. But it took a little longer than I expected. But it was a great feeling to beat the holy hell out of Vince McMahon at WrestleMania. Not only did Bret beat Vince, but heck, the whole entire Hart Family beat Vince.
You know, I just wanna take the opportunity--I know, you're all upstairs in heaven somewhere. I can feel my mom, my dad, my brother Owen. The British Bulldog. I can feel them sending waves of high-fives that are heaven-sent. 'Cause this has been a great, great time for the Hart Family... You know, it wasn't too long ago that I thought that I'd be leaving the WWE with a bad taste in my mouth. But you know, the only taste I got in my mouth anymore is joy and satisfaction. So, on behalf of myself, the entire Hart Family - and there's lots of them back home, you can trust me on that - I wanna thank all my fans all around the world. These last three months been a great, great ride. Thank you very much! All the best. Thank you."
