[3.0] "I thought it was an adequate Smackdown this week. There was less sexual assault than last week- but it still featured. It makes me uncomfortable. Heyman obviously has misogyny issues and I wish he was just a bit more of a normal human being."

[6.0] "i was for a 5 at the beginning. the only way this episode is relevant is for Kurt Angle's turn heel and the alliance with Paul Heyman revealing the entire betrayl on the back of Brock Lesnar. The show was full (even over the necessary) of squash but continues to setup the building for the superstars and the storyline. The main event is the classical type of match where even with this ending and this situations two pro wrestler like Angle and Benoit will allways made a great match. They put th pedal to the medal till the DQ. this save this show by a 5"

[7.0] "This was a very good after-PPV show which started some new storylines, had kurt angle turn face, and then heel, and team up with Heyman and Big Show. This was very well done. And then the main event capped it off with a solid match getting ruined by interference with the Heel faction winning at the end and the crowd booing the shit out of it. The producers and writers of Raw at this time could only wish that they could have this kind of ending and crowd reaction at their shows. Edge vs A Train was not as bad as I expected and the Eddie vs Kidman was good for a 3 minute match. Cena still sucks as a wrestler but his new gimmick is really working. I'm still not sure what's going on with the Dawn Marie / Torrie thing. Seems like it's just going on forever and we'll never get a true payoff. Not looking for a sex tape but at least some interesting story here. There is nothing must-watch here but it was entertaining throughout. Doesn't make me want to take a nap or fast forward like Raw has been doing the past few months."

All the parts involving Angle were good and the Edge/A-Train match was decent, with the rest lacking, especially the Dawn/Al promo segment in the middle of the show."

[6.0] "Not the best Smackdown episode you'll see in terms of match quality (Benoit vs Angle aside) but it is a good show that lays out some great feuds for the upcoming year. It's already an upgrade to have Kurt Angle as the champion and his heel work in this episode is equally as good as his match quality. The first segment is good where he appears to honour his word to Brock Lesnar as Lesnar looks like he doesn't think he can trust him. Then mid show he reveals his alliance with Paul Heyman and they talk Big Show into joining them (which is pretty weak from his perspective and a bit of a logical flaw with this storyline) and then he has a good main event setting up a big Title clash with Benoit. The main event picture definitely looks a lot better to build the show around. The matches are a little shorter this time around with the highlight beig Brock Lesnar's fun squash against Shannon Moore with one of my favourite versions of the F5 ever. It does get bogged down with yet more bollocks from the Dawn Marie soap opera nonsense with a blatant bait and switch where they said they was going to show more lesbian footage and they didn't and the in-ring promo is a waste of time. Paul Heyman's planning that doesn't make a whole lot of sense with the way its explained which makes me think the WWE realized Big Show as WWE Champion was not the way forward and they rushed a new storyline as a course correction."

[6.0] "Angle/Lesnar's opening segment was good, the crowd was really into both of them. The matches here didn't get much time outside of the last two matches, but I enjoyed the main event, and the Brock Lesnar squash that belly-to-belly he did to Shannon Moore was insane. Kurt joining sides with Heyman/Show was an interesting twist, the run-in at the end of the show was good from Brock. This was a decent show"
