[8.0] "solid mane storyline building, a good opening and a goosebump match. this is one of the average episode of Smackdown of this period, even at this time we had a great episode"

[7.0] "Good show for wrestling, not so much for the stories. And I mean that all around. I enjoyed every match and didn't really care for any of the stories. Torrie wilson is great at what she does but her dad and dawn marie are tough to watch. Also, aside from Big Show/Lesnar story, which is ok, the smackdown 6 don't really have any stories that travel (and matter) from episode to episode. It's basically just variations of those 6 guys fighting each other (and lesnar) from one show to the next. Despite the really fantastic wrestling between the 6 of them, it's becoming boring to watch for me due to the lack of storytelling. The 2 falls out of 3 match just came out of nowhere with no meat behind it. It was fun no doubt but I'm not sure why the match was made. Also, the short match with Cena vs Rikishi shouldn't get overlooked as Cena actually looked decent here. I've been giving him shit so far through his first few months in the WWE but gotta say he looked a little better here against Rikishi."

[8.0] "Really solid show overall with the last two matches meriting special attention. Outside of wrestling, Dawn Marie getting engaged to Al Wilson (Torrie's dad) was just as awful as the rest of that story. I did enjoy Shannon Moore becoming a Mattitude Follower."

[7.0] "The first hour of this show was full of weak matches and endless backstage segments, but the two out of three falls match was your typical Smackdown six match in that it was awesome and the Brock/Eddie main event was also really solid. The Al Wilson segment was also really bad as usual."

[8.0] "A show of two halves but the 2 out of 3 falls match is too good for me not to recommend this show as even on a seemingly weaker 2002 outing there was always a huge trump card to make the show a must watch. Angle and Benoit vs Edge and Rey Mysterio is one of the best TV matches of all time and the new tag team titles felt like the most important thing on the show at this point because all of the matches was just of the highest quality. The main event between Lesnar and Eddie Guerrero was a solid finish to the show with Lesnar's inexperience looking like a huge weakness for his clash against the Big Show and his relationship with Paul Heyman falling apart at the seams. The first half isn't great though and the in-ring segment with Al Wilson and Dawn Marie is a huge waste of time. Michael Cole and Tazz are hilarious throughout it though to make the cringe fest somewhat bearable to watch."

[8.0] "The long angle of Brock and Big Show is good so that's fun to watch unfold. The Al Wilson Dawn Marie stuff is really bad, and the only downside of this show at the moment. Cena is slowly changing from his basic character right now. The tag team title match was really good and the main event was solid. Another good show for Smackdown."
