[7.0] "This was a good and fun episode that could have been the go-home for the PPV. What I mean by that is there was nothing "new" here really and it seemed to move storylines to their proper places to be settled at the PPV. No rocking the boat, just pushing it forward. So, despite me enjoying almost all of the matches and the promos, there wasn't anything here that would make me say this is a must-watch episode. Good promos from Brock and Rock. Rock/Benoit was great but deep down it makes me miss the stone cold/benoit feud that was building before benoit got injured last year. Rock is not at Austin's level wrestling-wise, but he definitely tries. And this was a good match despite the lesnar interference/non-interference. The angle/sexual chocolate match was actually pretty good, and the guerrero promo before that tag match was funny as shit too. Everything on this episode was pretty good except for the nidia/torrie match. With that said, I don't think anything truly special happens in this episode, which isn't a terrible thing, but that prohibits me from rating it higher than a 7. Also, I'd consider this a skippable episode, but you won't regret watching it either. It's making me wonder what kind of shit they can possibly do (maybe some swerves? ) next week's episode to make it feel necessary."

[8.0] "Le futur de la WWE est bien présent, Rey Mysterio est déjà très impressionnant pour ses "début", le voir au coté d'Edge et de Cena c'est vraiment cool. Un très bon épisode de Smackdown."

[7.0] "Another solid episode of Smackdown which set up well for Summerslam with Kurt Angle vs Rey Mysterio made and of course anothe fun and intense promo from The Rock before his main event match with Chris Benoit. Edge and Rey Mysterio vs Los Guerreros was a short match that ended in DQ, but still gave us signs of what was to come for the rest of the year."

[7.0] "I enjoyed the opening segment between Brock and Rikishi. It was a nice way to set up their match later, they are really putting Brock over for beating Hogan. Rock also had a good backstage promo. There's some fine wrestling matches on the show but the clear match of the night here was the main event between Rock & Benoit. Those two have really good chemistry so to no surprise that was good and it also progressed Rocks rivalry vs Brock. Matt Hardy appeared on this show, Rey challenged Angle to a match at Summerslam. Pretty good show as we build towards Summerslam"

[7.0] "Da Lesnar in der Vorwoche Hulk Hogan komplett demontiert hat, nutzt Heyman das zu einer Promo Richtung Rock. Das kann man ihm nicht verübeln. Rikishi fühlt sich angesprochen und liefert eine billige Imitation Johnsons, um dessen Pops abzugreifen. Im Kielwasser des ersten Matches verbindet sich Matt Hardy mit seinen Kumpels Helms & Moore. In der Zwischenzeit stellt sich heraus, dass Stephanie McMahon die blaue Marke mit harter Hand führt. Mysterio fordert derweil Kurt Angle für den Summerslam heraus und gibt ihm nach Angles Erfolg über Henry noch was zum Nachdenken in Form einer Platzwunde. Lesnar besiegt Rikishi, und dann platzt mitten in eine Annäherung zwischen Funaki und Nidia der Split zwischen Batista und D-Von. The Animal hat den Prediger abgestossen. Nidia siegt verdient, sieht sich aber im Erfolg mit einer weiteren Ankündigung von Kanes Rückkehr konfrontiert. Angle unterbricht ein solides Tag-Match und Rocky zerlegt mal wieder verbal das Personal. Während Johnson sich dann auf seinen Gegner vorbereitet, lässt Bischoff im Hintergrund Reklame für RAW durchs Bild laufen. Das Match ist dann ziemlich ansprechend und vermittelt bei Rock und Benoit einen vorübergehenden Abschluss, während mit Lesnar das Titelpicture gehypt wird. Und die Action ist vorzeigbar. Insgesamt ist das eine erneut überzeugende Episode mit den richtigen Bewegungen der Stellschrauben, relativ kurzweiliger Darbietung und bisweilen soliden Leistungen im Ring."

[7.0] "Quite the enjoyable Smackdown. A few matches on here could have been better if they were longer, namely Henry vs Angle, Brock vs Rikishi, and the semi main event. Some good promos and segments in this show like The Rocks promo and the Stephanie/Benoit segment. MOTN for me was the main event."

[4.0] "Schlechte Ausgabe von SmackDown. Das Anfangssegment war in Ordnung. Heyman zeigt eine ganz gute Promo und preist Lesnar wie er Hogans Karriere beendet hat und dieser nur ein Stolperstein war. Rikishi trägt jetzt nicht viel bei. Der Opener war schlecht. Zwei kleine Fehden laufen da aber Billy und Chuck und Rico natürlich bleiben standhaft. Matt Hardy hilft nach einer Attacke der Heels aus und ist nun bei SmackDown. Henry vs Angle war solide. Äußerst kompetitives Match. Leider mit einer mäßigen Länge. Lesnar vs Rikishi war schlecht. Rikishi konzentrierte sich ein wenig zu viel auf Heyman und verpasste ihm einen Stink Face und Lesnar brauchte nur mit dem F5 zu vollenden. Währenddessen wird anscheinend total Random die Allianz D-Von und Batista beendet. Die Divas waren schlecht. Das Match war nichts. Jedoch wie auch bei RAW kündigt sich die Rückkehr von Kane an. Auch hier total Random platziert. Eddie und Chavo vs Edge und Mysterio war solide. Wie beim Angle und Henry Match sehr kompetitiv aber einfach zu kurz wo hätte mehr gehen können. Der Main-Event war in Ordnung. Benoit schafft es Rocky nicht zweimal hintereinander abzuklopfen das wäre aber auch fatal gewesen. Lesnar schaute sich das Match wie auch schon letzte Woche von nahem an."

[9.0] "Das war wirklich eine sehr gute Show. Die Matchqualität war über dem durchschnitt (gerade durch die letzten 2 Matches, und dazu gab es viele kleine sehr sehr gute mini Segmente wie Funaki und Nidia, Baitsta und D-Von, Rock Promo, Lesnar und Heyman Promo und und und. Einfach 1 1/2 Stunden pure unterhaltung."
