[7.0] "Good episode overall. The two matches with meat were both great, especially for the era. Some filler as the Invasion storyline kind of listlessly flops around but Austin was trying his best and the Angle feud at least was working."

[7.0] "Really good show. Austin is getting very aggressive with his crowd involvement in "WHAT" which is so sad to watch happen, knowing what that eventually brings us as fans, and for his career really, but obviously funny and great at the same time if we're talking in the moment. The 8 man tag match was random chaos. Matchguide said this lasted longer than 5 minutes but it seemed much shorter to me. Best part about that match was the promo the Rock did before hand. The Rock is back into must-watch TV territory when it comes to his promos. Back in the day this was true next-day "water cooler" talk type stuff. He was hilarious and really I believe his acting skills have improved a LOT since he took the few months off for shooting the movie (the mummy if I remember correctly). If you love Rock promos, then watch this episode. His promo is in the 2nd half of the show. Big Show vs Hurricane was funny and predictable. I never believed that they'd put the european title on Big Show, although that might have been a fun move for him to run with destroying people for a few months or so for it. The RVD/Austin match was really good. Not just the match, but the lead up to it. RVD is really a fan favorite right now, so I'm glad the booking team is realizing this and pushing him into main event status. He delivered really here. It wasn't super intense, and I really didn't think that they'd let RVD win this cleanly, which I guess it was clean despite the chair's involvement. I don't know. I enjoyed it though. There are two weeks (4 shows/8 hours) worth of TV before the PPV, so I'm starting to wonder if the two main events are going to remain the same or if somehow the matches will change up a little bit before hand. We'll see. Oh yeah, almost forgot was another fucking TEST match lol. Looks like they're pushing Test, which maybe they need to do since they have teased his push at times... but doing it against Billy Gunn? Not sure this is going to do what they think it might do. This may be the final push for him. I have to imagine that if I was watching this live at the time, I would have channel surfed past this. I almost feel sorry for Billy here but I remember just a few years ago he was one of the top crowd favorite guys being part of the Outlaws, DX, Ass Man, and then KOTR champ during one of the most high profile eras of the industry's history, and here he is jobbing for Test just a couple years later. But, I do believe he exceeded all of his expectations considering his limited skillset and inability to work the crowd, relative to all of the other great talent on the roster. I think Test is in the same category. Waste of a good "wrestling look" and build. Fortunately for the WWF, and the fans, we're spoiled at this time with enough true superstars that Billy Gunn's and Test's deficiencies don't hurt the product at all. Side note for those who care, Kronic debuts in this episode and Michael Cole, being as incompetent as he is, could have made this event much more exciting but he can't act for shit and makes the event seem much more staged than it could have felt."

[5.0] "Actually that was very unmemorable episode. Only the beating of Chavo was good, rest was mid or even unnecessary like Test vs Gunn."

[7.0] "Much better than the previous evening's Raw. I'm not sure why they decided to put in such a strong effort here, as the rating was going to be poor anyway due to the Thursday pre-emption."

[8.0] "That Rock segment with Lillian Garcia backstage was hilarious and easily my favorite part of this show. The Austin/Angle feud continues to be really strong with good segments weekly.8 man was good for what it was and Austin had a good main event with RVD. Overall this was a good show"
