[7.0] "A solid episode of NXT and a reminder of why it's my favorite weekly wrestling show. Every match delivered and did a good job showcasing both established stars and newer faces. I'm really high on Romeo and Tristan and hope we see them share the ring again soon. Lizzy and Tatum also had a fantastic match, one of my favorites of the year in NXT. Overall, it was a fast-paced and entertaining show, and I'm excited to see these new stories and characters continue to develop."
[7.0] "I would rename this episode "The British Invasion". All the new English arrivals made a great impression. I'm really enjoying all of them, and it's nice to see them already being tested in important matches. I absolutely love, love, LOVE, the VP storyline and the way they're using Myka. DarkState hasn't particularly caught my interest so far, but I'll admit I'm curious to see where they go next now that Saquon has been kicked out. A very enjoyable episode overall, as usual"
[7.0] "First of all, I should mention that Ulka Sasaki had some non-televised matches, that's the first thing. Aside from that, it was a good NXT show. We got to see which new talents are working and who will have to step up their game. Mason Rook is like Harry Potter's cousin but with double the bullying, and he doesn't mince words. He debuted with Kam Hendrix, whom he then destroyed, and Hendrix will definitely have to work harder to get noticed. Evil's laugh is cringeworthy, at least Shiloh Hill's is understandable, and watch out for him because I'm becoming a Shiloh Hill defender. He has funny segments, he's creative, and he's not bad in the ring. We saw Tristan Angels have a good match with Romeo Moreno, two guys I want to see more of in the future. Tatum Paxley and Lizzy Raine had a great match full of kicks and very creative sequences. Keanu Carver beat Tate Wilder senseless, and the best thing they could have done with DarkState was separate them. I don't like the faction or their matches. They say Saquon Shugars is the most technical, but so far I haven't seen anything extraordinary from him. Obviously, the match against Vanity Project was a solid 5."
[9.0] "A commendable episode of NXT for how much everything on this card worked for me. This type of show is why it's my main wrestling show. All of the matches were enjoyable, each of them showing off character and personality of established and new faces which is, of course, helped by all the debuts that have knocked it out of the park so far. I'm really high on both Romeo and Tristan; hopefully they can be in the ring together again, sooner than later. I've also fully come around to Lizzy, as she's just too good in the ring to write-off just because I don't like some of her mannerisms, while Tatum is just so cool always! They put on a wonderful match, probably one of my favorite of the year so far. Overall just a fast-paced, exciting program. I'm happy to see the new roster settle in now and start gaining traction on new stories. If there's more of this, I won't be disappointed."
[6.0] "This was a solid episode of NXT. I'm really glad Saquon Shuagrs is getting a run as a singles star now. If you've watched him as Lucky Ali in DPW, you already know he has true main-event caliber talent. I liked the WWE NXT Women's North American Title Match, and I thought Will Kroos made a strong impression in his debut. NXT has gone through a lot of changes, but that's the point of a developmental brand. The future of NXT looks bright."
[7.0] "That was another good NXT episode. New talents are integrated and looks intresting, almost everyone. We got 2-3 good matches and the activity around every main championship. Maybe the most issue on NXT now is absentness big rivalries. Only tag division developing like always, but the single champions had a few contenders that wanted a title match now, without contendership match. Activity like that it's cool, but not in this situation. NXT still delivering a intresting content and that is great."
[5.0] "Very middle of the road episode, wasn't horribly bad but I didn't really enjoy this one. The Tristan/Romero match and the main event were both solid, but that was kinda the peak of the in-ring action for me. Enjoyment of this one is made or broken by the NA title match, which I didn't enjoy as much as others. Thought the Darkstate turn angle at the end of the show was cool though"
[6.0] "An entertaining show overall as NXT continues to re-build with the various departures to Raw and Smackdown. The North American Title Match was my match of the episode while it was still pretty consistent throughout."
[8.0] "Good episode. It didn't happen much apart from the matches but them were very good. Strangely the opener and the main event were the worst one but nothing bad. The double nxt debut was surprisingly good, it's not easy to book a double debut where you have to showcase two new wrestlers but it was very well done. Romeo, that lost impressed me a lot he has an unique style for nxt and his pairing with Noam is interesting. The NA title match was the best thing of the show, Lizzy presentation is amazing and the ending sequence of the match was too. I thought they would protect her in the loss with Zaria interference but doing it post-match was probably better. The end of the show was the only big storyline progress but it was well done and very needed."
"The best episode of weekly NXT since the post-Mania call-ups. The new additions to the roster finally made me feel something for them. The Paxley-Rain match was phenomenal, probably the best NXT match since Vice vs Gray NY, with a great dose of technical prowess shown from both participants and the hardest-hitting Cemetery Drive I've ever seen. Both Angels and Moreno were impressive, and despite losing I think Moreno can be special pretty soon. While I do think the men's main event scene is pretty dry right now, the lower- and upper-card for the men seems pretty exciting, and all those men need to get ample screen time. For me, the best was to do that would be with a round-robin tournament with the winner getting a shot for the North American title, especially right now where NXT is going to be a little bare until the stories start blazing at full blast as we head into summer. The main event was also very good, if not as good as last week's. The ending was a surprise, but definitely the right thing to do. Shugars has the most potential of the entire DarkState group, so I am very interested to see what he can do alone, perhaps as a Tweener. Score - 8/10"
[10.0] "This was an incredibly cool episode with three good matches, segments, and a cinematic main event. The future of WWE is in good hands with such a strong division filled with young stars. The weakest part of the show was the opener, but that's a drop in the bucket, and it can be overlooked. Darkstate closed the show on a shocking note, and I really want to hear what they have to say about it. I hope Saquon gets a solo push now. He's a very bright star."
[4.0] "The show was rather uneven, with some matches decent but lacking stakes, while the main event, though well-constructed, lacked quality. The story angles were sometimes very poor, but a few laid the groundwork for future championship matches. The episode ended with the rift within Dark State, which was undoubtedly the most notable segment of an otherwise somewhat disappointing evening. In-ring quality: 3/6.5. Non-match angles and segments: 1/3.5. Bonus/penalty: none. Total: 4/10. Watched on Netflix (FR)."
