[9.0] "This was an excellent episode of SmackDown that hyped up everything well for the Survivor Series and made it look like it was going to be a much better show than it actually was. They move things along really well where theres a really good Triple H sit down promo absent from the arena as he uses video footage of everything he's done to Austin and looks a really menacing in it. Rikishi does alright with his as well with a big match with The Rock happening, but he's not quite as convincing as Triple H on the mic. He does make up for it in the closing angle though where he attacks The Rock during his match with Benoit and busts him open internally with the Banzai Drop. Rock v Benoit is a typically strong main event with Rock's selling really adding some jeopardy to it. There's also a great No DQ sprint with Taker/Jericho vs Kane/Angle that had lots of good action in a short amount of time. Austin was his classic self where Eddie Guerrero challenged him to a match, with it being an obvious Radicalz set up and Austin takes them all out of the match and then ends up squashing him in a fair fight. It's a really enjoyable squash because Eddie's antics backfiring the way they did made it very satisfying to watch when he was taken down."

[8.0] "Wow, this was an excellent Smackdown for the Attitude Era. All the storylines were moving forward with gusto, it was very low on any offensive stuff, Michael Cole was great on commentary (which proves that quality of Cole's commentary tracks Vince's descent into self-indulgence). Really great hype for Survivor Servies. Too bad that Survivor Series turned out so mediocre it was worse than the hype-up show."

The Austin/Guerrero match was a perfect 3 minute match and Rock/Benoit was a really good main event up until the DQ finish even though it was to shoot an angle for the PPV."

[8.0] "This was a great show. All of the matches and segments were highly entertaining with the sole exception of Rikishi's opening promo. It also has the only televised singles match between Austin and Guerrero which is an excellent squash."
