[4.0] "Really not quite sure what to make of this show, and promotion for that matter. Had heard that this promotion had similar vibes to another that I loved, and well...if those were the same vibes, they were implemented quite differently that's for sure. I had to watch this show over several nights, as it was simply exhausting. I hate how long the show was. The live music doesn't add anything other than more time to the shows. These skits between matches I have a difficult time figuring out if their actually relevant to the show, or just something arty. A very big deal is made of referee enforcement in the matches, as well as the card system also present. But both these implementations are quickly exposed on this show. Each show having a different producer sounds interesting, but quite what that translates to, I'm not entirely sure yet. I'm finding it difficult to pick out stuff I truly liked out of this mammoth show? Zack Sabre Jr put on a good match, but that's pretty much a given. Jonathan Gresham found redemption in the main event. A lot of the remaining matches just felt like a lot of fanservice. Getting as many favourites on the show as possible, as well as feuds (most of which I don't know) being carried over from other promotions to play out. I think my favourite match was Cowboy Way vs Adam Priest & Tommy Billington for just the most perfect smart heels match I can remember seeing. PRODUCE might be an interesting journey, but not sure yet if I'll be along for the ride."

[3.0] "I am still trying to figure out what this is actually supposed to be. The guy who funded JCW started their own company. From what I see from PRODUCE is just it's best interpretation of Deadlock (it's nowhere near as good and as polished, no matter how much money the owner throws at it) and GCW. So for this, I am calling Produce GCW: Orange. After watching this show, after so much promotion (mostly bad, and embarrassing) this is really just another indie by someone who may be a big fan of wrestling, but understands very little about it. I can't suggest this show to anyone, or get anyone interested into pro wrestling from this, so it's just a low grade from me."

[9.0] "i enjoyed this show quite a lot, bengston vs sabre was fun, hot sauce and kozone had a really good one, loved alabama britannica vs cowboy way, and gresham vs abe was easily my match of the night, I had faith in the idea of produce at first, but now that a show's already happened, the faith has grown even more, hopefully the moriarty produce show is great too"

[8.0] "So, what did I think of Produce's first show? I definitely had a great time. Out of the nine matches, I'd say six were genuinely good, two were solid, and only one really fell below expectations. That said, I felt the show was missing something to take it to the next level. My two main criticisms would be: There wasn't quite enough variety in what was presented. It lacked that one truly memorable match or moment that could have defined the show. Gresham vs. Abe had the potential to be that match, but it ended up feeling a little too short. On the other hand, there was a lot to like, especially: A very polished production for a debut show. A clear and distinctive identity right from the start. A high-quality roster clearly put together for fans of the American independent scene. It was packed with wrestlers I enjoy watching, from the more familiar names to the ones you rarely get to see, like Mako, Mad Dog, Liiza Hall, Bengston, and Kozone. Overall, I came away satisfied, but also with quite a few questions about where Produce goes from here, particularly: How will Produce develop its own identity while sticking with the one wrestler/one producer per show format (which is a really cool concept, by the way)? Balancing those two aspects won't be easy. This first event definitely had Gresham's fingerprints all over it--anyone familiar with Terminus probably felt right at home. How will they keep things fresh and continue finding wrestlers willing and able to produce future shows? And how will they build something with long-term continuity, developing storylines from one event to the next?"

"I sat ringside at last night's show, and had such a good time I made an account on this website to scream into the void : THE FEELING IS BACK! At some point in the middle of the first match, you'll see ZSJ start to smile. Not the sadistic smile we're used to seeing as he contorts the limbs of his opponents to bend at the types of angles seldom discussed outside a math class, but a legitimate acknowledgement that he can't believe how much fun he's having. The crowd has bought into the idea that Darren Benston just might be be able to give Zach a dose of Zach's own medicine, and dueling chants fill the "arena, " one for an intonationally acclaimed former champion of Japan's largest wrestling promotion, and another for a guy who I'd only previously seen wrestle in YouTube videos from state-fair shows. If this is the type of moment you live for as a wrestling fan, then the show is for you. Everyone on the card brought their working boots. Kozone and Hot Sauce beat the ever-loving shit out of one another, not a second of down time full on firefight. J-Train went full Cornette, a ball of motion who alternated between shouting words of encouragement at DeReiss, shouting abuses at the fans, and never missing a moment to cheat. Adam Priest blended craftiness and cowardice as he and Billington did everything they could to avoid they righteous beating they ultimately received from the colossal cowboys. Billie Starks has charmed the JCPW crowd so thoroughly she might want to consider taking the "k" out of her name. It was my first time seeing Charles Mason and boy do I feel late to the party on that weirdo. Effy bit someone's cock. Joey Janella busted his ass to insert some heel dynamics into what could have been a paint by numbers indie-clusterfuck, while Marcus Mathers moved masterfully and Gringo Loco nailed the least contrived looking Spanish fly I've ever seen. The crowd was so loud for Greshman vs Abe that I'd barely noticed that most of the room had emptied out (utterly reasonable considering it was pushing midnight on a Monday and not a mark against the quality of the show at all). Produce felt like a celebration of the basics of professional wrestling. Heels and faces. Shine, heat, come-back. Characters. Simple stories. Matches that move. Meaty men mashing meat. Never overstaying your welcome. Was it a perfect event? Of course not. There were perpetual technical issues, especially with the audio, and I'm sure you could find knits to pick at in almost all of the matches. But such criticisms are irrelevant in the face of the feeling. The feeling that you're seeing something different. The feeling that you've come together with like-minded fans of something that hard to explain to almost anyone else. The feeling that there's an American indie with it's own, distinct, identity, pulling in masters of the craft from all over the world. Produce is a celebration of the art of professional wrestling. I'm excited to see how the party continues."
