[5.0] "This was better than the usual live episode, but still booked in a very odd way. The quickest battle royal ever led to EY getting a title shot in 2026. The street fight was actually decent, but the tag match was not. The main event was good, but I question the decision to take the belt off Slater. They didn't even mention Aries on the broadcast, so why not give the record to Slater? Instead, we've given the belt to the guy who was NXT's resident unc last year. We also got a debut, but I barely know who the guy is. On the bright side, they had some decent build to Lee vs Brookside. It's nice to see that the Knockouts belt has an actual feud going."

The debut at the end made TNA look absolutely tiny as a promotion and the decision to have Slater fail to beat the X Division title record was so unbelievably stupid it could only be done by TNA. Nothing else worthwhile in ring and some really cringeworthy stuff elsewhere along with the most boring battle royale winner possible."

An episode that was well laid out with building toward future episodes while delivering on some grudges especially with the main event having been built up for weeks delivering what I would call TNA's best match of 2026 so far. Fabian Aichner is a good addition to the roster in someone that felt like they had untapped potential in WWE. I do feel the live broadcast did add to the energy of the show even if they have had good taped ones in the last couple months."

[6.0] "A fine episode of TNA Impact on AMC with a couple of stand out matches and two okay matches, a few decent segments as well. TNA World Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal: An average battle royal to start Impact, Mustafa Saed making an appearance was the highlight, no memorable eliminations or moments, Eric Young winning was meh as hoped Elijah would win [**]. AJ Francis vs KC Navarro: A fun street fight between these two, a few cool spots including the table spot at the end, wished Navarro would have won but was still a decent watch [***3/4]. Allie & Rosemary vs Mila Moore & Victoria Crawford: A fine KO tag team match here, good to see Allie and Rosemary team up again and get the win [**]. Cedric Alexander vs Leon Slater: Even if I did not agree with the result as Slater should have retained but gotta give this match its credit, no doubt MOTN, they showcased what the X Division is all about and gave us a hell of a main event contest [****1/2]"
