[7.0] "I think it was a good event. The best matches was the last two and both was good enough.I was little dissapointed from Kushida vs YOH because they can have a lot better match but i think that was still good."

[3.0] "Easily the weakest night of the 2026 BOSJ thus far and a definite skip, without a single match really worth checking out and instead a bunch of matches that mostly ranged from bad to REALLY bad. Kanemaru vs Sasaki was worthless. I like Sasaki, but this match didn't make any meaningful use of his grappling work, instead giving us heavy and non-stop shenanigans alongside really generic and lethargic actual wrestling exchanges. This could've had a charming 'cheating heel vs cheating heel' approach, but instead it was devoid of any intensity or creativity. *1/2. Sho vs Hyo was another pretty worthless match. Hyo is still an athletic and flashy acrobat, but a big focus of this match sadly involved him and Sho fighting over Hyo's... cat toy... ugh. Sho's brawling and control work were very bland, and his arm-targeting, while fine, never had the appropriate intensity, instead always being performed with Sho's usual goofy acting. Hyo sold his arm a little bit but never meaningfully, and then a bunch of the same old H.o.T shenanigans led to a thoroughly underwhelming finish. *3/4. Desperado vs JAY was poor. It started okay with some energy from JAY, but then we got yet more bland brawling and cheap interference from Zane Jay (as if there wasn't already enough anti-wrestling on this show). Their serious wrestling exchanges, when they actually occurred, were all decent but never anything special, and it didn't feel like Desperado had to struggle that much to pull off the win. **1/4. Kushida vs Yoh was okay. I really wanted to enjoy it more, since I love Kushida's grappling work and I find Yoh's charismatic displays endearing, but they sadly abandoned their fun grappling work to instead devote a lot of focus to some ridiculous antics with the 'socko' sadly returning, and their bigger and faster-paced trades in the 2nd half had really mediocre chemistry. A greater focus on Yoh simply targeting Kushida's unguarded feet would've been good, plus if Yoh had sold Kushida's extensive and varied arm-targeting far more consistently (since I still really enjoyed that work here). **3/4. Ishimori vs Eagles was alright but never peaked how I would've liked. They started carefully and then slowly built up with a faster pace and more impressive chemistry. Both guys were slick with all their individual offence as well as their exchanges, and I liked the story of Eagles targeting the leg, which always limited the extent of Ishimori's success and always provided an easy reprieve for Eagles whenever Ishimori's momentum was gaining to heavily. That work was all good, but there was nothing extra exciting in the final 1/3rd to capitalise on any of it. ***. Kasai vs Akira was kind of bad. I'm really over Kasai doing more or less the exact same series of weapon and prop spots in every match this tournament, since that 'spectacle' factor is no longer fresh, and that's all while his actual wrestling offence is really limited and he barely bothers to sell his opponents' offence (no wonder he had to be a death-match wrestler). Akira was forced to not only work Kasai's generic death-match style but also to work down to Kasai's physical level, which meant he wasn't able to impress much with his signature offence or other efforts. What was even worse was that despite this match (stupidly somehow) being officiated as a death match, we still got ref bumps and interference for some ridiculous reason. It was cute at first, but Kasai's death match crap can go now. **1/4"

[6.0] "Ugh, I REALLY wish that I didn't have to waste extra time making a review for this show here; but I thought the last 2 matches were good (aka the 7/10 level) enough to the point where I can BARELY give this unspectacular yet decent show a 6 out of 10 overall. Everything else ranged from Mid to decent at best. I was REALLY tempted to pick a 5 though like most people did here though."

[3.0] "This was a chore to get through. Having Sho, Yoh, and Kanemaru in the same block is a nightmare. Literally the most entertaining thing Sho has done in years is to have one of his testicles pop out of his shorts during a nothing match a few years ago, and even that was cut from NJPWWorld later. Then you have Sasaki, who is having boring matches, Hyo who is doing too much comedy bullshit, Kushida who has sucked after the Eagles match, and Young, who is uninteresting and has no character. El Desperado and Ishimori are fine but over-played over the past few years. At least they, along with Eagles, feel like they're actually trying. Block A's Akira tries as well, but the crowd is dead long before he arrives on the scene. Less than 800 people in a hall where every light is always on (which stops the crowd from ever getting over their inhibitions) watching a series of shit comedy matches and wrestlers who are barely trying. It's both a shit-show and a shit show. This is the kind of show which makes you drop out of following the tournament altogether because there's just so little care involved. Every match felt long. Every Five-minute call had me thinking, "Fuck. Only five? ". I really hope the semis and final are worth it this year."

[3.0] "Tatsuya Matsumoto vs Taisei Nakahara: A normal standard young lion's match here with Matsumoto getting the win, they ran through the normal young lion routine in the ring and got the crowd warmed up for the rest of the show [**]. Hartley Jackson, Kosei Fujita & Ryohei Oiwa vs Masatora Yasuda, Toru Yano & Valiente Jr: This had a hint of a preview of Fujita versus Valiente Jr, Jackson getting the win for his team was nice to see, the match was decent for what it was [**1/4]. Master Wato, Nick Wayne, Ryusuke Taguchi & Tiger Mask vs Daiki Nagai, Gedo, Robbie X & Titan: This had the previews of 3 BOSJ matches for all the same night on the following show, Wayne pinning Gedo was okay to see, the match was fine [**]. Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs Daisuke Sasaki: What a terrible match, they did not have a good match at all, they did nothing but HoT tactics and waste of time watching [DUD]. SHO vs Hyo: Another terrible BOSJ tournament match on this show, they had all sorts of shenanigans in this one and made for not a good watch even SHO winning was not a good decision [DUD]. El Desperado vs Jakob Austin Young: This was an underwhelming match; Zane Jay had to get involved again in a JAY match this tournament and Desperado winning was the right choice as if JAY had won this would have been a complete disaster [*1/2]. KUSHIDA vs YOH: A somewhat average match between these two, they could have had a better delivered match, but this one just did not have much about it and I lost interest slightly [*3/4]. Robbie Eagles vs Taiji Ishimori: The match was somewhat okay with I personally felt like they were holding back, they could have done so much more but they still showcased some of what they can do [***]. Francesco Akira vs Jun Kasai: This was a somewhat alright match but did lack the excitement it needed, Akira bleeding did seem surprising in this one, but Kasai repeated the same sort of routine from all his other tournament matches in this years BOSJ [***]"

There was only one match without any weird stuff in it, and it's the best match here (Eagles vs Ishimori). Main event didn't work because of those awful first 3 matches."

[5.0] "Weakest night thus far, a fun main no doubt but all 5 B Block Matches felt like they underdelivered. The B Block is just less important though and the crowd treat it as such. The most probable winners are all in A block and so are all the super popular juniors so the crowd here are deathly silent for all 5 b block matches. This is an entirely skippable night of BOSJ action besides a good main which is underserved by Zane Jay bs."

[4.0] "0 crowd, but they're clearly not to blame, this Block B is so uninteresting (even in-ring for the most, sadly, too much House of Torture and Zane Jay bullshit) except for the Robbie Eagles push that we absolutely know will get cut by Gedo the criminal to put El Desperado in Finals (because Gedo's going to a streak where five years in a row it'll either be Despe or DOUKI as IWGP Junior Heavyweight champ) instead of pushing the young awesome talents he have in the juniors."
