[8.0] "It was a good enough event especially in the last part. The best match of the day was the main event and it was great with Wato scoring a huge win and give an answer to what Fujita said about him."
[5.0] "There was only 1 match really worth checking out on this show, but it was thankfully the MOTT thus far, so that's the silver lining on another pretty mediocre 2026 BOSJ show. Wayne vs Nagai was okay but too short to feel complete. Nagai had decent energy and scrappiness, while Wayne was quite pedestrian but still decent. **1/4. Taguchi vs Titan would've been quite good with more time. I enjoyed the grappling-vs-grappling approach, with Titan being speedier and flashier but Taguchi more methodical and gritty. They also had a fun story of intermittently trying to match each other move for move, though never to the point that it felt cheesy. Good chemistry the whole way, especially in the 2nd half. ***. Akira vs Valiente was alright. Valiente has a few too many spots and transitions that are a bit too contrived, but he still had some nice execution and creativity at points. Akira was fun all around, as he easily matched Valiente's high-flying exchanges and also had some nicely aggressive beatdown work to keep things fresh. ***. Kasai vs X was okay. It was more of the same from Kasai and his bag of death-match tricks, though at least X offered something interesting in response with his flashy acrobatics. X's set-ups remain often contrived, but his bumps are all good at least. Kasai still has pretty weak wrestling fundamentals, but he managed to make this match into a moderately fun spectacle with the introduction of the ladder, which led to some cool spots. **3/4. Wato vs Fujita really surprised me by being MOTT thus far. Both guys have a lot to prove still -- Wato especially, given he's been such a nonentity for so long -- but everything clicked here, from the incoming story of them both wishing to prove themselves as the superior ex-BOSJ winner and the next future junior ace, to Wato's newfound jump in aggression, and to both guys' strong selling and offence. Their chemistry was good the whole way, especially as their pace picked up, leading to some really good big moves at the end. Wato's awesome lariat was a massive exclamation point to push the match into the next level. ***1/2"
[6.0] "Gedo & Taiji Ishimori vs Taisei Nakahara & Tatsuya Matsumoto: A fine tag team match to get the show started, nothing memorable happened, had house show vibes with it as it had average standard action [*3/4]. Jakob Austin Young & Zane Jay vs Daisuke Sasaki & Masatora Yasuda: Served as a preview match for JAY versus Sasaki the following show, the match was average if I am being honest [**]. Hartley Jackson, Robbie Eagles & Ryohei Oiwa vs Tiger Mask, Toru Yano & YOH: Mask continues to be on his retirement tour and the match was okay at best, just a standard preview multi man tag match [**]. El Desperado, Hyo & KUSHIDA vs Dick Togo, SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru: Did not like this match much which was not surprising given HoT was involved [*1/4]. Nick Wayne vs Daiki Nagai: A short match featuring Nagai who continues to try and improve but Wayne winning this one was obvious, though the match was alright for the 5 minutes this went on for [**]. Titan vs Ryusuke Taguchi: A fine match between these two, with Taguchi involved this was never gonna be serious and Titan submitted Taguchi for the win [**1/4]. Francesco Akira vs Valiente Jr: Valiente continues to showcase lucha libre in a decent enough way, Akira getting the win was fine but would like to have seen Valiente get the win here, the match was decent enough [***]. Jun Kasai vs Robbie X: An interesting one here, the weapons being brought into play here were not surprising given Kasai was in this match, a few decent weapons spots including the ladder spots, Kasai still proving he can mix it up with anyone even if he is 52 years old, X gave a decent enough fight [***1/2]. Master Wato vs Kosei Fujita: A great main event match on the show, they know how to put on great showings, my only complaint personally is they could have gone another 5 or 10 minutes to really showcase what they can do, but for the 14 minutes they had they still put on a good match [***3/4]"
[6.0] "Certainly a step up from the past few days of the tournament. A decently entertaining undercard highlighted by a really fun match between Robbie X and Jun Kasai and a fantastic main event between Fujita and Wato which stands as one of the best matches of the tournament so far. MOTN - Kosei Fujita vs. Master Wato"
