[8.0] "It was a good enough day for the BOSJ.The best match was the main event and it was very good.Maybe i can call the result little surprise because i expected Fujita to win the match but Robbie X is very good and deserve a big win in main event."

[5.0] "It was a mediocre night of action in BOSJ surprising for it being in Korakuen Hall, there were maybe one or two standout matches on the show but the majority were either average or okay.. Jakob Austin Young vs KUSHIDA: Quick show opener with a fair amount of outside interference with JAY being the winner which in my opinion was not the right choice [*3/4]. Jun Kasai vs Daiki Nagai: Nagai had control for most of this under 5 minute match with Kasai getting the obvious win [*3/4]. Yoshinobu Kanemaru vs Robbie Eagles: Not a bad match to be honest, but could have been better booked and Eagles should have won [**]. Nick Wayne vs Ryusuke Taguchi: A short match that was never meant to be a serious one, Wayne getting a win against a veteran was good to see [*3/4]. Taiji Ishimori vs Daisuke Sasaki: A well executed match with their different styles meshing well in the ring, Ishimori getting the win was nice to see even if Sasaki could have got the win here [***]. Titan vs Valiente Jr: It was a fine match in the BOSJ tournament, nothing too special happened it was just what it needed to be [**]. El Desperado vs Hyo: Hyo's flashy and athletic offense mixed with Desperado's aggression and leg targeting offense mixed decently well and Desperado getting the inevitable win with nothing against Hyo [***]. Master Wato vs Francesco Akira: Wato hit his offense well and managed to keep up with Akira in what was a solidly delivered match within the confines of the tournament [***]. YOH vs SHO: I did not like this one unfortunately even though it was not YOH's fault it was thanks to SHO, the DQ finish made sense with SHO being involved in this tournament match [*]. Robbie X vs Kosei Fujita: MOTN, the match in my opinion was alright actually with some decent in ring work and X getting the win even if we could have saw Fujita get the win here which also would have been solid to see [***1/2]"

[5.0] "Yet another very mediocre night of the 2026 BOSJ, though this one still managed to have two quite good matches (both which I'm relatively high on compared to everyone else). Kushida vs JAY had a lot of interference shenanigans and brawling, though with bits of good wrestling sprinkled in. Fine for a quick match. Too short; no rating (TS;NR). Kasai vs Nagai was odd. Nagai jumped Kasai before the bell and dominated him for 90% of this, but then Kasai revealed he'd apparently just been feigning his struggle and quickly put Nagai away after a lariat and cradle. What a weird structure and even weirder story. TS;NR. Kanemaru vs Eagles was decent, with nice grimy beatdown work and leg-targeting from Kanemaru, with mostly really good leg-selling from Eagles (albeit a bit melodramatic still). The slickness and variety of Eagles' comeback offence was cool as usual, especially with his consistent leg-selling alongside. Even the H.o.T shenanigans were brief and inoffensive. **3/4. Taguchi vs Wayne was a nice sprint, with fast-paced action and a bit of comedy (but nothing too goofy). TS;NR. Ishimori vs Sasaki was quite good. Sasaki's more grimy and underhanded style of grappling and beatdown work remains a breath of fresh air in NJPW, and Ishimori sold well for all of it and then had his signature slick offence in response plus his own underhanded tactics to nicely match Sasaki. Their chemistry was really good, and they even had a good deal of creativity as well. ***1/4. Titan vs Valiente was alright. It was definitely pretty contrived and cheesy at points, but still with some very slick and athletic spots and sequences. Titan was the stand-out, especially with his grappling work, but Valiente was decent enough, plus he finally got to properly show off his skills for the first time this tournament (and after a supposed knee injury only a few nights ago). ***. Desperado vs Hyo was alright. I liked the contrast of Hyo's more flashy and athletic offence against Desperado's aggression and leg-targeting. Hyo's leg-selling was decent, as he'd show great pain when it was targeted and then he'd grab it and stumble around in the down periods of the action, though sadly he'd usually drop it when it came time for a big move or sequence. At least the leg-targeting story remained a major focus throughout the match, and they did well progressively escalating with their bigger counters and exchanges. ***. Wato vs Akira was quite good. Akira's aggressive and varied arm-targeting was really cool, and Wato sold quite sympathetically in real time and sold his arm mostly okay in the long term (though it definitely could've been better). Wato also managed to hit most of his offence well and to keep up with Akira's pace. I really liked the finish despite it coming almost out of nowhere, since it made for a nice story that Wato was being quite strongly dominated but a misstep from Akira placed Wato in perfect position to hit his wonderful high-angle german suplex that caught Akira off guard. ***1/4. Yoh vs Sho was okay. While I miss these two (especially Sho) being serious wrestlers, I have to admit that they both have the necessary charisma to make this more goofy style of shenanigan-laden wrestling somewhat entertaining, and it was actually a pretty fun and engaging story that for as many cheap tricks as Sho has, Yoh knows Sho well enough to match him in that arena. At the same time, Yoh had some nicely sympathetic selling and Sho's beatdown work was solid, and they returned to the story of Yoh's IRL arm injury against Sho all those years ago, so there was actually a bit more here than merely goofiness. **1/2. X vs Fujita was okay. X is still a very impressive athlete with all his picture-perfect stunts, but that sadly didn't matter much when he tried to tell a story here of his leg being targeted, yet his response was to constantly switch between either barely able to walk or even stand, and effortlessly running, jumping, flipping, and flying all with zero struggle. It was very jarring and definitely a wasted storytelling opportunity. Fujita had good slickness and speed with his offence, and his leg-targeting itself was good but wasn't focussed on as much in the second half as it should've been. Their very contrived and cheesy spots and 'epic' trades were also rather off-putting. **3/4"

[5.0] "Weakest night so far. The only standout match was the main event where Fujita and Robbie X put on a show. Let's hope we can get the level of the first night back, the talent is there."

[4.0] "Probably the weakest show of this tournament so far. Some solid matches on the undercard but nothing that's worth seeking out. Wasn't a fan of the main event and the semi main between Sho and Yoh is comfortably the worst match of the tournament so far. Pretty disappointed with this one, especially considering it's a Korakuen show too. MOTN - Daisuke Sasaki vs. Taiji Ishimori"
