[10.0] "My first Double or Nothing I truly loved. No match bored me, some were predictable but I reckon they knew that as well so they really decided to have fun in those matches. I had no doubt Will would be Joe for example, but they still had a fun match. The thing I loved about this show was every match was good. No stinkers, it was just a great vibe throughout. I love the set and by god the crowd was fantastic. Proof that a crowd really does dictate how a show FEELS"

[7.0] "First things first--this is a thoroughly solid affair, with no missteps or weaknesses. But it's a fucking five hours long--that's way too much. It gets off to a promising start, the opener is instantly recognizable, and the two Japanese wrestlers show off their talent. This is followed by a few solid mid-tier matches, all of which are worth watching, but which--in my opinion--are overloaded with relevance and, in some cases, scheduled to be significantly too long. I can still do without Stadium Stampede--it's too wild and chaotic for my taste, and despite its hardcore attitude, it's way too comedic. The last match is perfectly fine in its own right, but by then I'm already overwhelmed by all the impressions and can barely take anything in anymore. It's a well-rounded show when served in small doses, but almost impossible to watch all at once."

[9/10], then the second match with Takeshita was a MOTYC [10/10], the 3rd match with Athena was probably the weakest match, but still not even a bad match [8/10]. I then loved the match between O'Reily and Mox with some great technical wrestling. [9/10]. Ospreay vs. Joe was another great match and some great wrestling [9/10]. Swerve vs. Bandido was in my opinion a little bit better than Joe vs. Will by just a tiny margin, and exceeded my expectations [9/10]. The Fatal 4-Way also exceeded my expectations and was honestly a pretty good match [5/10]. Then I really liked the Stadium Stampede match between the two teams with awesome entrances, and some fun wrestling [9/10]. Then I really loved Darby vs. MJF with some awesome spots, and had some great wrestling for a worthy main event of a great card [10/10]. An awesome wrestling event that will be talked about for a long time as one of AEW's best events, and has caused some buzz in the wrestling world."

[10.0] "[10.0] Not a bad match on the card. It was a thrill ride, start to finish, with some match of the year contenders for me in Swerve V Bandido, Ospreay V Joe, Takeshita V Okada, Cage and Cope V FTR, and of course the main event. This card was filled to the brim with masterpieces like those, and everything that wasn't a 10 or 11 out of 10 was at the least an 8 for me. Maybe the least exciting match on the card was Mina and Athena, they'd already fought, their feud wasn't too too hot imo even if it resulted in a good match at death before dishonor. But this one was very good too, they filled the slot really well and provoded a pretty broad showcase of the best of both women in a condensed fashion. And that was the 'least hyped' match on the card. Other AEW classics have stinkers on the card, take All Out 2021, famous in AEW circles as one of the best ever wherein Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson would debut, but it also had The Big Show versus Q.T. Marshall. In other, shorter words, this is as good if not better than that show was, and it doesn't have a stinker, there's no mid or filler, it all slaps. I'd still rank this just below All In 2023 because it came at such a special point in my life and I'll always love that show, but if anyone were to tell me Double or Nothing 2026 was AEWs best show, hell, if anyone were to say this were their favorite show ever regardless? They'd get no argument from me, this was pure class. 10/10"

Everybody forgets to sell, they all do 45 moves that could be finishers per match and then everybody kicks out and starts screaming for no reason. Plus every match was being sold like their most important match of their life. Even if they were not wrestling for the World title. Even if they weren't throwing themselves off a stage in trying to stay World Champion, they were just 'fighting'. What guarantees me if those same people had their mozt important match last PPV and weren't gonna have their most important match the next PPV too? Idk why I thought this watching the show, but I felt like I was watching all samey stuff, even if enjoyable"

When MJF said that Tony Khan ensures that you get your money's worth when it comes to these events, he wasn't lying. Okada vs. Takeshita is my personal match of the year pick. HOWEVER, my main gripe with AEW at the moment is that they clearly have no clue what to do with the women's division, and this show kinda confirmed that for me, as the two women's matches were the weakest of the night rating-wise. Watching live was electric though and I am very happy I got to see it."

[5.0] "Like most AEW shows, this was a mixture of some genuinely good stuff with some mostly really mediocre stuff. Remove at least 3 of the weaker matches and this show goes up to being alright, especially if the Stadium Stampede is one of them. FTR vs Copeland & Cage was a pretty generic hardcore match, with lots of bland brawling and a bunch of totally generic weapon/prop spots. I did like the barbed wire usage and the flaming table bump, but other stuff looked far too light. Beth's cheesy and overproduced run-in save plus Copeland and Christian being suckered in by FTR's faux 'beg for mercy' routine sucked. At least there was a baseline intensity to carry this. **1/2. Okada vs Takeshita could've been great, but it felt like a bastardisation of Okada's NJPW style, without the meaningful storytelling or compelling selling to accompany the action, instead focussing solely on rapid big-move trades and egregious fighting-spirit displays. They were athletic enough and had strong enough chemistry to make that style work, and I really liked Okada's smug and arrogant heel work as usual, but for the most part this was still too mindless for me, and I still feel zero reason to invest in Takeshita as a character. ***1/4 - ***1/2. The post-match angle with Fletcher's return, fake siding with and then dramatic turn on Takeshita was effective as a means to introduce new directions and tease future stories for all 3 men. Athena vs Mina was okay. Mina is charismatic but simply not a good wrestler, as she constantly botches moves far beyond her ability. Athena's aggression, intensity, and slickness were all good as usual, as was her bumping, and she actually managed to keep her awfully hokey character work and selling to a minimum for once! I wish she sold her leg better, but she carried this match well. **1/2. Moxley vs O'Reilly had the blueprints of a really good match. Moxley's 'tough guy' routine wasn't too bad here, and he instead simply showcased his convincing grappling and brawling work, especially while targeting the leg. O'Reilly impressed with all his slick grappling and striking, though he needed another level of intensity, and his leg-selling was good The big issue here was that the crowd was dead for 80% of the match -- real "you can hear a pin drop" territory. They hooked the audience eventually, but only right at the end. **3/4. Joe vs Ospreay was quite good. While Ospreay still just mindlessly runs through a checklist of all his signature moves each match, he's indeed also still very athletic and flashy, and he managed to sell without falling into goofy melodrama territory. Joe was the real interest here though, with his aggressive and no-nonsense brawling style and his wonderfully dastardly arrogance. I'm usually lenient when it comes to selling a targeted neck, but with Ospreay having a well-documented IRL neck injury that sidelined him for ages, he really should've done better selling it in response to Joe's extensive targeting. Ospreay's overindulgences aside, this was quite good. ***1/4. Swerve vs Bandido was my MOTN. I expected it to be an overkill 50/50 bombfest, but it was surprisingly quite straightforward in both story and action. They had great chemistry as they combined their similar but distinctively flashy and athletic styles, doing well to progressively build to more exciting and truly creative exchanges and spots. There were still some annoying contrivances at points, but never anything overbearing. I also liked Swerve's more aggressive beatdown work and Bandido's corresponding babyface-selling, especially as Swerve targeted the neck. With a less severe neck injury compared to Ospreay's, I was far more accepting of Bandido's relative 'no-selling' of it, though he still made some effective and meaningful efforts anyways. I also really appreciated them not dragging the match out with a million 'epic' trades and near falls, instead having Swerve simply capitalise on his earlier neck-targeting with some big moves to earn the win. ***1/2. Thekla vs Shida vs Hayter vs Statlander was fine. Multi-man matches are inherently limited because of their predictable structure and all the really contrived and cheesy multi-man sequences and spots. I won't deny there was a bit of creativity here, but the interactions were always far too contrived to feel compelling. AJ vs Joe vs Daniels, this certainly was not. At least Hayer still has, good intensity and impact, and both Thekla and Statlander were okay, but Shida is still very clumsy and unconvincing. **1/2. The Stadium Stampede match was the first truly bad match on the show, since it was almost entirekly just a series of goofy comedy bits and ridiculously orchestrated spots one after the other, with any actual wrestling being very weak and tame. The whole AEW Arena/Stadium brawl stipulation is done to death, with the draw always being the stipulation itself rather than the feuds or wrestlers. As such, none of the wrestlers injected any heat or intensity into this, instead turning the match into a joke or a mindless spectacle. *3/4. Darby vs MJF was pretty good. I really liked the character work with Darby as the scrappy and determined underdog babyface against MJF as the aggressive and vicious heel. On top of that were some impressively dangerous bumps from Darby, making for the engaging story of his mounting pain and exhaustion eventually overcoming his daredevil durability. I did wish Darby had sold that carnage more effectively in the first half, plus that MJF didn't eventually delve into his goofier selling. I'd also hoped that the finish could've had an extra twist to it, since it otherwise felt more straightforward than it should've been. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Knight's shocking post-match turn on Darby was effective as a means to draw even further sympathy for Darby on top of his defeat, plus to give him a new direction to eventually go now that he's lost the World Title."

Okada-Takeshita was also awesome. Disklike the kickout after 1 after the finisher but unfortunately that's one of AEW's downpoints. Ospreay-Joe was awesome... Swerve-Bandido was epic! Really good women's 4-way aside from all those consecutive pin attempts early on. The Stadium Stampede was fun - nice to see a lot of indie wrestlers backstage."

Those two opening matches fired the crowd right up, and they were unforgettable. On the topic of the crowd, the crowd was white-hot ALL NIGHT LONG, it was incredible. They didn't get exhausted at all. The event had it all; returns, betrayals, tables on fire, and a comically large tennis racket. A night that I will never forget. AEW really did their thing with this show."

[9.0] "[9.5] So here is my take on this card: Following a very rough wrestlemania in which we saw more ad's than wrestling this event delivered for me everything that I would of expected from double or nothing and than some. This was for me a easy 9.5 or 10 but I will give you a bit on my thoughts here one by one. AEW World Tag Team Title I Quit Match - So going into this it was very clear the crowd was hot. I was interested to see how they were going to make use of the stadium as ive gone for tennis and right away it was apparent to me that they were going to use every inch of the stadium. Before I get to far into to this match it should be noted that the set design team did an amazing job matching the scaffolding of the city to the stage. Sometimes less is more. As for this match it was pretty clear going in that cope and cage were going to have it and so for me this match did exactly what it was supposed to do and got the show off strong. Solid 8 or 9 AEW International Title Match - So this was the first of a few matches going into tonight that I thought could go either way. There is a reason why each time these two fight it is a five star + match. This once again delivered on that. It was great booking in terms of show flow to go from the chaotic match of the I quit tag to a more slow building match that didn't lose the crowd or the heat along the way. this was a 10 for me only because my expectations were so high and they were met. Owen Hart Foundation 2026 Women's Tournament Quarter Final Match - So this match was always going to have an uphill battle to stand out on a card this strong. Let me start this by saying that by no means was this match bad or even not enjoyable. It just falls victim to being on a card that had SO MANY OTHER great matches. I am from the maryland area so ROH is close to my heart. Athena is great. The match was good. But in fairness i am giving it a solid 7 only because of how good the rest of the card was. AEW Continental Title No Time Limit Match - So this match is one where again I thought the match was really good but unlike Okada and Takeshita it didn't quite get to surpassing my expectations. They were met and that was great and the match was fine. My only gripe with this one is the stipulation if your going to slap a no time limit stip on a match and than have it only go 18 minutes than what did we really accomplish. I will give it a 7 because I thought the match was enjoyable but also knocking it down due to stipulation and just rest of the card. Owen Hart Foundation 2026 Men's Tournament Quarter Final Match - I am doing these as a group block but will give individual ratings. (My thought for this block was they would do them back to back in basically a 30 min block which happened) Lets start with Will Ospreay and Samoa Joe so look anytime Ospreay is in the ring my expectations are going to be high. They were met, they were exceeded, joe looked great match was fun it was a solid like 9 for me. HOWEVER we need to talk about the other half of this Swerve Strickland (w/Prince Nana) vs Bandido this match I thought could be good, I did not see it being a quiet possible match of the night stealer good. The moves that these two pulled off together was nothing short of well beyond my own expectations. I know how good Swerve is and bandido is but i wasn't sure if it would work togehter well it worked amazingly so this is a 9.5 AEW Women's World Title Four Way Match - This match was a good womens match. It had zero to no build, and had to follow some amazing matches. It was fine but on a card that was stacked it got burried which was always going to happen. I will give this match a 7.5 only because I felt that it was given an impossible task and it just felt kind of off. Stadium Stampede Match - this is going to be the match that everyone either loved or hated. For me I find this match a staple of AEW in a way that is sometimes needed in wrestling as a reminder not to take it so seriously. I thought the match was great. I thought they were limited as oppsoed to other editions of this match by being in a tennis arena but I think they did it justice. It was fun, It set the stage for what was coming in a heavy match. Spots were good its a 9 for me cause I enjoyed it. AEW World Title Vs. Hair Match - So where do we begin here. First this was a huge moment for AEW has had been brought up with two home grown stars main eventing DoN and that shouldn't be understated. For me the best outcome from a booking stand point was the result we got to set up for osprey vs MJF at All in. That being said the concept of MJF being bald was hilarious. I think MJF is one of the best heels in all of wrestling and he loves doing it. I think it is also worth noting that Darbi did a lot with a "short title reign" but he also made that championship a fighting belt. I love darbi and I love MJF the match was great i thought they both looked good to me this was a 10. Overall - As a fan of AEW and WWE and all wrestling really and having grown up in the business Double or nothing usually always delivers for me. To me this was much better than last year and thus it earns a solid 9.5 out of 10 a few botches yes, a few hiccups sure however my friend who is not a wrestling fan at all sat thru the entire ppv and was cheering and into it which tells me AEW did a great job here."

So many matches on this show could be considered the best match on the card; the crowd was fantastic throughout, and we had some great moments peppered in at the right times. Swerve hitting a house call whilst atop Bandido's shoulders is one of the most impressive spots I've ever seen. The Kyle Fletcher return and face turn fake-out was executed very well, and came after a stellar torch-passing match between Takeshita and Okada. The final angle with Kevin Knight surprisingly turning heel made me want to watch Dynamite after the show. This was everything a PPV should be from a promotion at the top of its game at the moment."

And no one does pay-per-view like All Elite Wrestling because they know what a pro wrestling fan wants when they pay their money to attend a show or watch it at home. Being in this crowd gives the PPV a whole other level of greatness, but the energy came through the live broadcast very well. From preshow to main event, the show never stops, constant runtime, no ad breaks, and amazing match after amazing match to the point where you the viewer are almost overwhelmed at how much is happening. The overall aesthetic and feel of this show was also top notch. A NYC themed show with incredible match graphics and a minimalistic stage that able to encompass the "New York feel" in such a small area. If only the women's matches had more of a story going into it besides "this will be a good match", it would've been a 11/10 show. On this night, New York showed up and AEW showed out. If Tony is smart he runs Louis Armstrong Stadium or NYC every year for a big show. Just next time make sure the process of getting into and out of the building doesn't take a million years."

[10.0] "AEW Double or Nothing 2026 felt like a reminder of why AEW pay-per-views still have such a strong reputation. From top to bottom, the show delivered a mix of brutal storytelling, incredible in-ring performances, and the kind of unpredictability that makes wrestling exciting. The main event between MJF and Darby Allin absolutely lived up to the hype. The "title vs. hair" stipulation added real drama, and both guys worked with a level of intensity that made the match feel huge. Darby's reckless offense and MJF's calculated arrogance created an emotional rollercoaster, and the ending cemented MJF as one of the best big-match performers in wrestling today. The show was stacked with standout matches. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Kazuchika Okada was phenomenal and arguably match of the night from a pure wrestling standpoint. Will Ospreay vs. Samoa Joe was another excellent clash of styles, while the Stadium Stampede delivered the chaotic insanity fans expect from AEW. One of the biggest strengths of the event was pacing. Even though it was a long show, it rarely dragged because every match felt important and advanced a story. The crowd in Queens was also fantastic and added to the atmosphere throughout the night. If there's one criticism, it's that some of the overbooked moments in the Stadium Stampede may not work for everyone, and a few matches could have benefited from slightly more time. Still, those are minor complaints on a show packed with memorable moments. Overall, Double or Nothing 2026 was one of AEW's strongest PPVs in recent years -- a show filled with emotion, violence, athleticism, and major storyline progression. AEW needed a major win heading into the summer, and they absolutely delivered."

[10.0] "Yesterday in New York City, a wrestling festival like no other took place, a PPV that will go down in history. I missed most of the I Quit Match, but what little I saw convinced me of the match's purpose. FTR flirting with the edge of cheating, Beth Phoenix appearing to help her husband, explicit violence. Konosuke and Okada gave a masterclass; they've managed to export a specific style of wrestling like never before to an audience that isn't their own. It was undoubtedly the match of the year, with a great storyline that unfolded slowly, not to mention the return of Kyle Fletcher. The Owen Hart Tournament matches had their high points; perhaps I expected a little more from Samoa Joe vs. Ospreay. Bandido and Swerve showcased moves never seen before; they are two spectacular wrestlers. Jon Moxley and O'Reilly did the same thing they did in their Dynamite match, quite similar but with a different outcome. In the Fatal 4-Way, the women did a great job, especially Hikaru Shida's shenanigans. The Stadium Stampede match felt like one of the weaker ones of the night. I feel like it's a stipulation that always has the same structure: the heels are humiliated and beaten down in a thousand different ways until only one remains, and then everyone humiliates him. Since he was there, it wouldn't have been difficult to simply hit Ricochet with the Lionsault to end the match. Also, Mark Davis surviving being hit by a bus is something you wouldn't even see in Mortal Kombat. MJF and Darby Allin was another great match. This marks the end of Darby's short but magnificent reign. He wrestled with the intelligence he's gathered in all his matches these last four weeks, but he couldn't defeat MJF. We'll see what happens now with Kevin Knight, who has already told Darby not to let him down in this match. I think it was a very well-structured PPV, and AEW nailed it. Even the weaker matches are quite entertaining. Without a doubt, the best PPV of the year and one of the best I can remember in many years."

(Lio rush's cameo got the biggest pop out of me), AND swerve vs bandido in a crazy move-for-move showdown, then as if it couldnt get any better, MJF vs Darby is a beautifully worked clusterfuck of spots and chaos, all with great storytelling and darby allin risking his body for the millionth time, not to mention kevin knights turn shocking me out of my seat. AEW's focus on match quality above all is incredibly refreshing in a world where wrestling elsewhere becomes solely about advertising and sponsors. AEW is delivering pro wrestling with no strings attached and with the simple focus on amazing wrestling throughout the night. This card featured so many incredible matches that amazing matches like Ospreay vs Joe and the Women's Fatal 4-Way go a bit shadowed but are still incredible moments in their own right. The Stadium Stampede was the only moment where I felt improvement could have been made but honestly it works as a great entertainment crossover to give the fans a break between hours of in-ring focus. The main event felt like a huge fight and one of the biggest AEW main events in the company's history so far. What an amazing moment with Allin jumping off the stage scaffolding through the table. There are at least five or six matches on this show that I've heard different people say were their favorites of the night, and while I personally have to go with Okada-Takeshita in terms of in-ring performance, I have to give kudos to the main event for storytelling. Everything from Darby's shock title win through his madcap month-long reign through the successful build of the title vs. hair stip has been a joy to watch. They even closed the preshow with a phenomenal angle featuring the debuting Mick Foley, which I'm guessing was one of the few PPV preshows in recent memory to actually drive some last-minute PPV buys. They turned an MJF title win that seemed like a foregone conclusion the minute Darby won into a must-watch stipulation match where the outcome was in real doubt. They also had two red-hot heel turns in Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight, and you left the show feeling like the bad guys won, for now, but will get their comeuppance in the months to come - perhaps at the biggest show of the year, All In? My one complaint is that, outside of the main event, the build felt lackluster - I don't feel like the lead-up to matches like Okada-Takeshita or Joe-Ospreay got to the level you would expect for the matches we ended up getting. But once we got to the show itself, everything clicked into place."

[9.0] "I'm new to the world of AEW but this might be their best ever show, and their answer to Mania 17. Every match banged, but match of the night was easily Take vs Okada (9.5). Every moment had "big bout" feel, and it was great that they kept the return of Kyle for after, this deserved to be a pure wrestling bout. The opener (8.25) was great, sure Cope and Cage winning was predictable, but it was well-executed and just as euphoric as it should have been. The women's Owen match (7.5) was the most ok of them all, but enjoyable nonetheless, even if we knew Mina was losing. The Continental match (7.5) was better in terms of graps, but I'm not sure Kyle losing here was the right choice, but we'll see how it plays out. Ospreay vs Joe (8.5) was incredible as anticipated, especially with the newfound viciousness of Will. They did great in terms of making me think that maybe Will would really pass out to Joe's clutch. Would have loved to see this go on a little longer. Swerve vs Bandido (8) was worth the build-up, with a lot of great kicks from Swerve. Again, a little predictable, but the crowd was loving it. The women's four-way match (7.5) was solid, just a little too short to really breathe, but I think Thekla retaining for now is ok. Stadium Stampede (8) was good fun as predicted, but I'll be honest, I think Stampede should stick to being a cinematic match. Having 14 men (15 if you count MVP) throw fists at ringside can be al little chaotic, and the cinematic format allows each performer to shine more and be more unrestricted, and also makes the match more special. In this iteration, a lot of it blends into one, and some performers basically go missing for stretches at a time (for instance, I swear I barely saw Omega do anything in this match). Main Event time! Excellent match (8.5) that really had me on the fence. It was a simple but brilliant story of MJF forcing Allin to be a threat to his own health. Until, the last SDL from Allin got locked in, I really thought the match would go the other way. Good finish, and makes the run-in into summer interesting, especially with what Knight did. This should be a great step forward for him as a performer, as he has the look and the ability, and maybe this allows him to become a top star. 9.25/10 show"

"Summary: I've been a lifelong wrestling fan; this was one of the best events I've ever seen. It had everything - the nostalgia of Mick Foley making his first AEW appearance as he co-hosted the Buy-In Pre-Show with Renee Paquette, a loud & energetic NYC crowd, high-level in-ring performances, all the drama, and plenty of valuables on the line - with not just championships (of which there were 5), but also MJF's hair and Cope & Christian's career as a tag team. ---------- Starting off the main card with Cope & Christian's match was smart from a pacing perspective - we all know they aren't at the pinnacle of their careers, but they still have enough in the tank and an I Quit match allowed them to pace themselves while using the arena & whatever they could find along the way to add excitement to the action. ---------- Takeshita vs Okada is a frontrunner for MOTY. It had an inter-faction rivalry that's been building tension for months, top-flight ringwork, and an emotional and compelling post-match chain of events. Great storytelling. ---------- Stadium Stampede lived up to it's name. ---------- MJF continues to get better in the ring and add wrinkles to his game; icing on the cake that is his best-in-class mic ability. Darby's run has been one that perfectly fit him and it couldn't have been done any better. ---------- Also want to mention: the entrances were cinematic as hell. Seriously impressed with that. ---------- MyAEW quality was good and the annual works out to $10/mo, plus you get the live TV shows w/ less commercials than the US versions. And ROH PPVs + TV. They keep adding to the back catalog of both, and word is their adding more promotions. Very happy with it. Connected via a free VPN then disconnected it as soon as it started, kept on truckin'."

Tons of great matches up and down this card with Joe/Ospreay, Kyle/Mox, Okada/Takeshita and the main event being the highlights for me. Every other match on this show was pretty good though and even the ones that i wasnt super high on did have their memorable moments. Two notable angles here too, with the Kyle Fletcher returning and turning his back on Takeshita and Kevin Knight turning heel after the main event. The Fletcher angle was absolutely fantastic, but i did have a few issues with the Kevin Knight turn. I think he should absolutely kill it as a heel but i didnt love the way that they did it. I think that, ideally, he should have cost Darby the match against MJF. It wouldve been a far more impactful moment and would have made a lot more sense than him just attacking Darby after the match because at least it wouldve sorta seemed like he had a motive. That aside though, this was a fantastic show overall. Every match wasnt blow away great but most of them were good and there were memorable moments up and down the card too. Moxley getting his win back was same old, same old, Kyle wins the series 2-1 but Moxley's win is the title decider, a win-back result as needless as Britt Baker needing to defeat Riho. Nothing was a surprise on the show as far as results go. Darby Allin becomes an "only for TV" champion and doesn't successfully defend even once at a PPV, so much for Everest. Lashley can't get out of the way quick enough so he doesn't have to touch a table. In the one match that could have used a "surprise" result, the ROH World Champ goes out in the first round and we miss out on Bandido vs Brody. Even the Opps didn't win on the Buy-In. I didn't go into the show with much hype, considering AEW's weekly TV shows like Dynamite just don't generate much interest towards their next shows or PPVs and don't provide much of an intriguing story to their matches or even any story at all, which has been the case for quite some time. But AEW surely knows how to provide great PPVs consistently, and they delivered once again. Amazing in-ring work, great flow throughout the show, with a lot of matches not going overboard with the time, like in previous PPVs, some really decent surprises and a fantastic, hot crowd throughout the entire show. The opener between FTR and Cope & Cage was a great way to start the show and a really fun, brutal tag match with some great spots. Christian is a freaking gem when he got the mic in the match. Beth's appearance was great, and that spot with the flaming table, with Dax wanting to spear Beth, mocking Cope, but instead hitting Stokely, was insane. Very reminiscent of Edge vs Mick Foley and their infamous flaming table spot, which they wanted to recreate here. Cope & Christian win the tag titles and remain as a team. Excellent stuff and just a great way to open the show. Takeshita vs Okada was a tremendous wrestling match. A match of the year contender, definitely one of the best of the year, just as expected with these two. Didn't go into this match with much interest, but I knew they would deliver a fantastic, hard-hitting match with plenty of drama. My only real gripe with this was the lack of selling in the latter portion of the match, to make it even better than it already was. Other than that, fantastic match. The return of Kyle Fletcher was really surprising. Even more surprising, though, was his heel turn to Takeshita. Excellent stuff. Athena vs Shirakawa was solid. Didn't really care that much, as these Owen Hart matches were announced rather late and had no story. In-ring-wise, this was alright. Moxley vs O'Reilly was a good match, but it was a bit hard to be invested in it when that match was literally on that week's Dynamite for 20 whole minutes. Don't think it is the best idea to put the same match again for another 20 minutes, which also had barely any story to begin with. A bit better than Wednesday's, but it's a typical problem with AEW. No need for Moxley to be in every single show or PPV when he doesn't have anything really major like now, and for that match to take place here. 30 minutes could've been scrapped off to make the show more digestible. Will Osprey vs Samoa Joe was a great match. I'm definitely not the biggest fan of Will Osprey and his over-the-top acrobatics, flips and no-selling, as far as in-ring work goes, but I'll surely give credit where it's due. Samoa Joe slowing down the match, and Osprey's explosive offence as the menacing veteran heel he is was what made the match great, imo. Really good pace in it. Great tournament match. Another equally great tournament match was Swerve vs Bandido. Swerve is great. Wasn't really all that invested in Bandido, but he delivered a great performance as well. Women's world title 4-way match was quite decent, but again, I had no invested in it, which is the theme with the women's division in AEW. One of the bigger issues in AEW is their women's division and the lack of screen time and lackadaisical booking, which is unfortunate. This was a throwaway match, made in the last minute and included 3 other competitors just to include them in the card. Still, though, a good match. Stadium stampede match was a really entertaining, fun "match", if you can call it that, and was one of the few matches I was looking forward to and what they wanted to present in this match, years after the classic initial stadium stampede match in 2020. Really fun, new spots and some really funny angles and spots in there too. My takeaway from this is that some spots were too choreographed, mainly from The Young Bucks, obviously, and maybe the match could go a bit less. Other than that, really entertaining. Main event MJF vs Darby Allin world title vs hair match, was awesome. Now, it might be quite controversial, especially amongst the sickos, but I just could not accept Darby Allin out of the sudden getting a shot at the world title on the Dynamite after Dynasty, and becoming AEW world champion by squashing MJF, who beat Omega and Hangman. It was the most forced world title change I've ever seen in wrestling by far, and it didn't work for someone who wasn't really in anything substantial before getting the title shot and especially for someone who's supposed to be an underdog. They could at least give him some story, or have him at least be showcase him as an actual underdog, but no, just squeeze his title reign as much as possible until he's dropping it at DoN and have him wrestle mostly mid-carders on every single Dynamite and some Collision shows, half of them were babyfaces, and all of them apart from now with MJF, had zero story or hype. Some really great matches throughout, don't get me wrong, but matches with Bailey, Guevara, Kevin Knight, or Brody King won't be really that memorable. The fact that he held the title, how he won it and defended it every week might be memorable, but not anything really substantial from his reign, as he had matches with whoever didn't really deserve it and downgraded the title to basically a midcard title. Now the title is back in the actual main event scene. One of the very few matches that had some resemblance of a story, at least. A really great main event. Amazing PPV, best show of 2026 in all of pro wrestling so far. Consistently great in-ring work throughout. Now, the hard part is for AEW to capitalise on that momentum and transfer that to the weekly shows and have people talking about AEW on a consistent basis."

Last year, we got the beautiful arena in Arizona with the special lighting, this year we have the sold out 15k Louis Armstrong Stadium. Last year we had Page vs Ospreay, this year we have Okada vs Takeshita. Anyway, it was a more than perfect night, the worst match was the very decent Mina/Athena. The rest of the card was absolutely fantastic, with a damn fun Stadium Stampede, a legendary Okada/Takeshita, a career highlight win for Copeland and Cage. The main event was perfect aswell. The talent of the wrestlers involved, the quality of the card, is kinda shocking at this point, one of the best people of the business in every match. Perfect booking, insane moments. Kevin Knight heel turn closing the show tells a lot. Kyle Fletcher return + "heel turn" is memorable and continues to establish him as one of the absolute star of the company. The only down of this show was the fact that Hangman Adam Page is still quietly gardening at home. Anyway, awesome. And once again, one of the very best, if not the best AEW ppv of all time. And my god that crowd, not surprised but damn, one of the best AEW crowd ever. Delivering that kind of show, that way, in this city, is a huge statement. Yeah actually, it's really might be the greatest ppv EVER produced by a pro wrestling company. And the fact that it was done in NYC is not a coincidence."

[10.0] "This is the greatest AEW PPV of all time, hell, this is the greatest AEW show of all time, and it may just be the greatest PPV I've ever seen. First off the venue here screamed "AEW IS BACK, " SOLD OUT, packed to the nosebleeds, loud, energetic, never dying elite crowd. On top of that the stage design was great too and screamed New York. The opening tag was brilliant, the I Quit stipulation really added to what was already a great bit of in-ring psychology and great in-ring wrestling. This was one of the few matches where we saw blood and the fact that blood wasn't used consistently throughout the show, made this match more special. Beth's interference was great, the finish was great, and what a moment for Cope and Cage. Just wish the build for the match was a lot better, than 30 second backstage promos, and multi-men matches. Takeshita vs Okada was next and is MOTY as of writing. One of the greatest matches I've ever seen that went below 20 minutes. Takeshita gets the win over Okada, I'm sure the rubber match happens at All In, I honestly don't know how they top this, this was amazing. Athena vs Shirikawa was fine, it's nice to see Athena get a win on PPV because she's so good, I just wish I cared more about this match. Mox O'Rielly was also good, but again I didn't care for this as the build was last-second and it would've been better saved for a Dynamite. The next two matches were the first round matches of the Owen and good god did they deliver. Pick your poison as to what you liked better, Swerve and Will advance. The women's four way was also good, but again just wish there was a better build to make me invested. The stadium stampede was awesome, the comedy spots worked well, the spots were effective, and the babyfaces went over. Not as good as the OG stadium stampede but as per usual the balls to the wall, crazy no-DQ DON multi-man match DELIVERED. The main event was AWESOME, the Darby Max feud was great, and was the best build of anything on the show. Genuinely thought Darby was winning here, as did many people in the crowd, which is why so many people were shocked. The match was great, Darby is a mad man, and his title run while short will go down as one of the greatest AEW title runs ever. Kevin Knight's heel turn at the end really caught me off guard, it was fine, but nothing crazy for me. I do like Kevin Knight as a heel though, I think Knight turning on Bailey at the end of the show would've been A LOT more affective, as I don't really feel the chemistry between Darby and Knight, but that's just me. The in-ring action overshadows any criticism I have, the most fun-filled PPV AEW's ever put on, these four hours flew by, AEW IS BACK. 10/10 show."

I suppose, If I'm being honest, while the overall quality of the show was amazing, I can't really point to one match that blew my mind the way that, say, Swerve/Ospreay vs the Bucks from All-In, or Hangman vs Omega, or Mox, or Fletcher, or Swerve, or Ospreay did. I guess I'm saying that maybe the show just needed Hangman."

Moxley ging over. That was a phenomenal event top to bottom, with a really hot crowd, and it's very significant as well, a big event like this in NYC, with a packed crowd, and the presentation was definitely worth it, to me that was the culmination of pretty good decisions by AEW since 2025, focusing on their own product, and creating captivating stories. Obviously I'm always critical of the company and its PPV style, but that was a super enjoyable night of wrestling, it's normal that two or three matches doesn't feature your favorite style, but as a whole, it's an impressive show and it deserves the recognition, they didn't drop the ball at any moment and after an event like this, it's natural that the discourse in favor of AEW is growing and their momentum is tremendous right now. The order of the card, which is something that Tony Khan normally gets wrong, was perfect here, maybe for the first time in a very very long time, it was truly flawless, every match was in the right place, and the matches weren't tiring, which is always a complaint that I have as well. Very special night for them, and it's a rare moment, when you connect things so well like this, they deserve the praise, I have to be fair. I feel like this show could almost be presented as an example of everything wrestling has to offer (with the possible exception of a hardcore match), which is quite incredible. Outside of the matches, there were some great angles, starting with that fantastic segment with Fletcher. The sporadic appearances in the Stadium Stampede were fun, and Beth Copeland's arrival made a real impact. The final angle could have been better executed, but I wasn't expecting that turn at that moment. A great way to conclude a fantastic show in a superb New York atmosphere. In-ring quality: 5/6.5. No bad matches, a few missed opportunities, but those are outweighed by the sheer talent on display and the amount of risks being taken by everyone involved. This PPV made it clear to me that a big factor that separates AEW from other promotions is the risk-taking both in-ring and in the booking. AEW knows when to go all out and really surprise the audience, while also being silly and fun and memorable. Match of the night is a four-way tie for me between Okada/Takeshita, Ospreay/Joe, Swerve/Bandido, and Darby/MJF. All three were very different matches, all with different storylines and different intentions, but they share a common thread of phenomenal wrestling, and again, a willingness to take risks. There were also spots here that I'd truly never seen before that just blew me away. Swerve standing on Bandido's shoulders to do a House Call, Bandido reversing a Death Valley Driver into a Poisonrana, a seven-way Super Kick, Ospreay doing an Os-cutter during Joe's entrance, a double ankle-lock, and probable more I'm forgetting. This PPV truly lived up to its name and continue AEW's hot streak."

Really AEW womens division is really quite bland compared to what it once was. A lot of these matches could have been better especially Swerve vs Bandido and Moxley vs O'Reiley. Ospreay vs Joe and Bandido vs Strickland were both really really good and each had their own flair but I thought it was smart to have them back to back to set the parallel paths of Strickland and Ospreay before their probable clash at Forbidden Door. The women's four way match was also really fun and I have loved Thekla's run so much this year. The Stadium Stampede was everything it needed to be and more! All of the special guests made it that much better and Mark Davis getting killed and then randomly appearing again two minutes later was great as well. And then the main event... They did an especially strong job making the Owen Hart Tournament feel meaningful again -- proving you can craft high-stakes, high-quality matches even without long-term feuds. Mick Foley's appearance was a welcomed and the crowd clearly loved seeing a legend step back into the spotlight. Overall: great pacing, great wrestling, great energy. AEW at its best."

"This was a really solid show that felt extremely well paced. I was worried when I saw the card that we would get a few matches exceeding that 20-25 minute mark. But we didn't and I feel like every match got the appropriate amount of time. The Stadium Stampede match might be the most fun Stadium Stampede match we've gotten so far with several spots and cameos that made me chuckle. The only thing that brings this down for me is Darby Allin losing the title so soon. Yes, he made several defenses on TV, but his first big defense on PPV and he loses? Hopefully the booking decision is worth it."

There is only one weak match in the women's four way, aside from that there isn't a bad match in sight. The only thing keeping me from saying this is the best PPV ever is the fact that many of the matches were predictable, and this isn't an All In, this is merely just the road to the big event. Hopefully AEW can keep this momentum."

Every single match here was at the very bare minimum good to outstanding, with Takeshita vs Okada being my current MOTY at the moment (funnily enough surpassing Tanahashi's retirement match which also included Okada), and the angles here were wonderfully shot. They have set up stories for their impending events, and have completely upped their production. AEW currently seems extremely focused after their massive uptick, and it is awesome to see this."

The I Quit Match and Okada/Takeshita is likely the best first two matches of any PPV in history, both were incredible with the crowd absolutely nuclear, the Fletcher return and turn on Takeshita was outstanding, Mox/O'Reilly excellent, Ospreay/Joe fantastic, Swerve/Bandido likewise, women's 4 way very good, Stadium Stampede absurdly entertaining and the main event and the Knignt heel turn just amazing. Probably going to be one of the easiest 10's I'll ever give on here, id have to nitpick to an extreme degree to even think about subtracting a point for anything. The crowd being as hot as they were the whole way through a very long show tells you everything you need to know, a world class PPV."

The only PPVs that even come close in my opinion for top to bottom greatness are Full Gear 2021 and Forbidden Door 2022. Where to even start? Okada/Takeshita was my favorite match, this was such a freaking amazing wrestling match. Samoa Joe vs. Will Ospreay was an all time classic, my favorite Samoa Joe match ever. Moxley/O'Reilly, Swerve/Bandido, FTR/CopeCage, and the Stadium Stampede were all so memorable as well and so completely different from each other. Both women's matches were really good, and on their own would have been very highly regarded. And the main event was a fitting end to the show with Darby going all out, but he couldn't quite overcome the toll from his crazy twice a week schedule. Such a great way to cap a world title reign that will always be remembered. Consider too that this is one of the best ever, and it didn't even have 3 of AEW's best - Hangman Page, Toni Storm, and Mercedes Mone. AEW on their current run with those 3 might even produce a better PPV down the road! We're going to look back on this era of AEW this past year as a true golden age of wrestling."

MOTY so far (good luck to anyone who wants to top this). Now with Takeshita's face turn, I want to see how he'll do without Don Callis as his mouthpiece [*****], Athena vs. Mina: the "worst" match of the show was still quite competent [***1/4], Moxley vs. O'Reilly: this match gave me a strong feeling of watching a worked shoot match, the focus on submissions and strikes makes it stand out on the show because there's nothing similar [***3/4], Ospreay vs. Joe: finally a match on par with Will Ospreay's pre-injury level, plus a monstrous performance from Samoa Joe (his best match in AEW) [****1/2], Swerve vs. Bandido: and the men's Owen Cup starts with two fantastic matches, here I just thought Bandido's neck selling was a bit exaggerated [****1/4], Thekla vs. Hayter vs. Shida vs. Statlander: good women's match, highlighting the long-awaited fight between Shida and Stat [****], Stadium Stampede: what a fun match! It made me laugh a lot, especially Luchassaurus taking a selfie with Andrade and the reunion of Lio Rush with Bobby Lashley [****1/4], Darby vs. MJF: deep down everyone knew Max would regain the title, but I weighed my options and rooted for Darby until the very end. The match itself was very good and the best in terms of psychology during the show, with the storyline of the champion's body breaking down due to exhaustion and the punishment of consecutive title defenses. MJF continues with a fantastic run at PPVs, and Darby leaves with one of the best world championship reigns, even with only a month of reign (and I'm shocked by Kevin Knight's heel turn after the main event) [****1/4]. Final score: 10/10."

From the electric opener which saw Cope & Cage roll back the clock over 20 years and deliver a violent classic, to the sterling precision of Okada/Takeshita and Swerve/Bandido, to the extravagant absurdity of Stadium Stampede, to the intense brutality in Ospreay vs Joe and Darby vs MJF... This show has covered so much territory and was spectacular throughout. Only minor nit-picks are the women's division is lacking a little star power without Toni Storm and Mercedes, but the ones on the card still worked their butts off. Little disappointed that Mina jobbed to Athena. Anybody that has a championship with AEW or ROH shouldn't be involved in the Owen Hart Tournament. Good match with Kyle O'Reilly/Moxley liked the respect handshake after the match with Kyle & Moxley. Good match with Swerve/Bandido. Not surprised that Thekla retained the women's championship. Really good & entertaining Stadium Stampede match, would have been nicer if they let the two teams brawl in the stands for one night, but I'm glad that both teams improvised real well. All the spots in the match were awesome. Darby Allin/MJF put on a hell of a match in the main event. Would have been a better feud between Kevin Knight/Darby if the world championship was involved."

The I quit tag title match was very good and was happy to see Copeland and Cage win the tag titles. Okada vs Takeshita was fucking phenomenal, it was just an amazing match with a great/right outcome. After the match Kyle Fletcher returned and turned on Takeshita, if this means we get Fletcher vs Takeshita down the line, sign me up, that's my dream match. Mina vs Athena was easily the weakest match on the show, not saying it was terrible, it was still good, with all the matches on this show, it didn't stand out as much, still had good wrestling from both women. Moxley vs O'Reilly was really good, started off slow but started to get going later on. Both have good chemistry and this was their 2nd best match they've had. Ospreay vs Joe was fantastic, it was a fast pace battle between two great wrestlers, wish it got more than 13 minutes, but I still loved those 13 minutes we got. Swerve vs Bandido would've been my weakest match if the final few minutes didn't save it, after that amazing house call while still on Bandido's shoulders moment, the match picked up, wish the final few minutes transmitted throughout the whole thing. The women's 4 way was amazing and all four outdid themselves with the match, love all four women and worked tremendously together. The Stadium Stampede was cluster fuck of craziness but it was still so much fun to watch, so much crap happened in that match it was nuts, 31 minutes was too long maybe shave 5 or 6 minutes off of it. MJF vs Darby was a physical battle and a perfect main event, Darby put his body on the line here and sadly, all the pain caught up and MJF regained the title back. Out of nowhere Kevin Knight just turned heel on Darby, wasn't expecting that shit at all. Overall, this was an amazing show"

Main event was solid with an expected result. Men owen tournament matches were also good. Didn't care that much about the Moxley match. I Quit match was fine but I really wanna see fresh teams in the tag division. Women matches were the low point of the night, they're not really on par with the rest of the show and that sucks. PPV of the year so far and asides the unbelievable consistency of the match quality and their ability to keep you invested for over 4 hours, this show also gave us a bit of character and story progression with Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher. It seems like the general MOTN is the International title match but I'm actually inclined to give it to the main event. Again, extremely engaging show and both Kyle and Kevin's angles were well executed. I especially didn't see Kevin's coming for some reason. Gasped when he got back on the top rope. Another downside was there were times during Stadium Stampede where it felt very formulaic and choreographed. However the rest of the show was good. For me the Swerve vs Bandido match, this was a standout match, I think it was most memorable match for me. They did some genuinely amazing moves in that match, especially Swerve. I hated Moxley winning, there was no earthly reason for him to beat Kyle, it's like we can't have a single dude in AEW that doesn't job for Moxley eventually. The Kyle stuff was the only truly interesting bit of character work Moxley has done for years and they flushed it. Ok then. Was also disappointed that Max didn't get his head shaved. It was one of those things that they built up so fucking well I actually thought and wanted it to happen. Stampede match, as always, was pro wrestling nirvana for me."

The right people won every single match, I'm, and I'm thrilled with the match quality and performances from these stars. If I had the slightest criticism, Mina and Athena had a little trouble getting started. But once they found their groove, they were great too."

Every PPV excedes the others, like theres no limit to the amount of good shows they can put on. Crazy that 6 out 9 matches were amazing, 2 were great and the last one was one of the most creative and fun half hour of wrestling caos ive ever witness. So in love with AEW right now, thank you Tony Khan, thank you everyone for your amazing job. Definitly worth the suscription to myAEW."

[9.0] "A fantastic show with many great stories coming to an end, but the groundworks for the new stories are just as tantalizing. My only issue with the show is the womens matches didn't quite have enough bite. The womens title existed out of an obligation to get these women on the show but it feels as if the whole division is simply waiting for a big name to return or somebody to take the lead and rise up the card naturally. There was little momentum going in and without a real contender it was hard to convince anyone Thekla was ever really threatened to lose despite the odds in a 4-way. The Mina vs Athena match was also simply rough with multiple botches and pacing issues and would have been a skip on collision, much less following up the MoTY on a ppv. The show also desperately needs an intermission or some sort of longer nonwrestling segment to space things out a little. Often in these PPVs by the 6th match or so I am physically drained and just 15min or so would help me get back into things. My overall scores are posted below and you'll see a dip in the scores at that same time. That could be simply due to the fatigue I was feeling but I'm not going to pretend a match was better than I felt it was. Just something to consider in the future though a short intermission after match 5 or 6 on a card would do wonders. Here are my scores for all matches: FTR vs Cope and Christian - 8.25 Okada vs Takeshita - 10 Athena vs Mina - 4 Mox vs O'Reilly - 8.5 Joe vs Ospreay - 8 Swerve vs Bandido - 7.75 Women's 4 way - 7.5 Stadium Stampede - 8.5 MJF vs Darby - 9.25 Overall show - 8.75"

Not a bad or even dull match on the show, and many of them were match of the year contenders. The crowd was also one of the best PPV crowds I can ever remember and they stayed insanely hot all night. This was the type of show that makes me love pro wrestling."

A lot of decent contenders for match of the night but man, that Okada/Takeshita match is as good as wrestling gets. Flat out. If this was your first night watching AEW, lucky you."

Incredible effort and memorables encounters by everyone. The stories told going in to the event were also great, the ME was special."

The crowd was incredible, fully engaged throughout the entire PPV with amazing energy. By far the best AEW show of the year, and it comes close to the best the company has delivered since its inception. 10/10."

I love wrestling more than any other art form because when the crowds are on fire, nothing else can touch it. And that crowd was peak. 2. The Kevin Knight moment. I have been watching Kevin Knight since he was a young lion on NJPW Strong. Knight and Clark Connors were the standouts at the time, and I am so glad to see them thriving. Knight is a future World Champion. 3. Swerve's house call of the top of Bandido's shoulder. Both guys deserve absolute praise for putting together a banger match. Loved it."

Top to bottom, this card was incredible, and the crowd was hot for all 4 hours of this show. I genuinely can't tell you which match was my favorite. Takeshita vs Okada with that heartshattering post-match angle (RIP ProtoShita </3), Ospreay vs Joe felt like a great first match of what will definitely be revisited when Ospreay wins the big one later this year, Swerve vs Bandido with some incredibly creative spots in what was the death slot for them having to follow up the previous matches, and MJF vs Darby in what was the most unpredictable prowrestling main event in a long time. All the AEW wrestlers are really giving it all right now, and it's paying dividends. AEW in 2026 is ON FIRE."

Athena and Mina was fun, I am in love with Kyle O'Reilly, and while I'm sad he didn't win, I'm glad AEW gave him a shot. Mox is great as always. Joe and Ospreay was very very good, although Will looked weird not entering in one of his big fluffy robes. Swerve and Bandido was good, if a little underwhelming. Hoping they one day get more time, perhaps for the AEW World title? Really good 4 way as well. Thekla is easily one of AEW's best signings in recent memory. Then there's Stadium Stampede, and an instant classic of a main event. All I can say is this is AEW, baby. Stadium Stampede legitimately felt like an episode of a sitcom. So many fun moments, crazy spots, and Kenny having a moment to remind everyone he's one the best wrestlers of all time. MJF and Darby was fantastic, and while I'm sad Darby lost, I believe it opens the door for him to get it again. Also, S T U N N E D that Kevin Knight turned here. Very intrigued to see where it goes. All timer PPV right here, but that's just what AEW does"

Opening match was fun, Takeshita/Okada was otherwordly (MOTN), Athena/Mina was solid, Moxley/O'Reilly was a good closer to their feud, Ospreay/Joe and Bandido/Swerve were great, Four Way was good, Stadium Stampede was very fun, & MJF/Darby was actually a great MJF PPV main event. Unhappy about MJF winning, but that's mostly because I don't have much interest in Ospreay/MJF. It didn't hurt the PPV too much for me though. Fletcher/Knight heel turns were a shock, will have to wait and see how they go. 8.5/10 if I could but I'll round up for now"

And that while that Continental Title match was FANTASTIC there BETTER be a really good end in sight for Moxley's reign. Other than that, I cannot think of any way to really improve it. That was perfection itself."

The Stadium Stampede and MJF/Darby are both 5 stars to me, and Takeshita/Okada was not far behind. Even the "weaker" matches on this show were still good such as Mina/Athena or Moxley/KOR. Just like last year the lowest match on the card was a 3.5 star for me with everything else being above 4 stars. It was just an other worldly level of quality to the likes i think we will be lucky to see again. Mina/Athena was solid with some great hard hitting spots. We finally got a women's 4 way that was cohesive and well booked with some stiff action. Mox/KOR was a little below my expectations but still a great match. CnC/FTR was so match when with some amazing moments in particular the table spot. Both Ospreay/Joe and Swerve/Bandido were two of the best sprints i have ever seen just all thriller no filler. Stampede was just balls to the wall fun for 30 minutes with some great spots and some funny cameos. Oh the main event was just great and Darby ends the best run with the belt in the only way it should with him going out on his shield after nearly dying a couple times another great performance from MJF as well. Not only that we also had two fucking excellent heel turns. Well i guess Kyle is just more heel now the DCF 3 way at Wembley is going to be sexual man. But my days the ending of the show had my fucking jaw on the floor man mainly as i had shifted to the idea of Speedball being the one to turn heel but Kevin's turn was so fucking well executed. Overall i said it last year but i think this might beat it to the best PPV i have ever watched. Show of the year sown up in my once again."

Highlights of the show for me are Takeshita/Okada, Swerve/Bandido and Stadium Stampede. Plus also a big fan on Kevin Knight's heel turn and Kyle Fletcher's betrayal of Takeshita. Very interested to see where several storylines go, great show. Only negative was the absense of Willow/Windsor, which is no one's fault, but totally gutted for them both as they deserved to be on this show, as did Athena/Mina. I hope Willow recovers soon, but AEW is in safe hands until she does."

Besides that, what a match between Joe and Ospreay, you can feel the run building as we head towards All In for Will. Have to say the stadium stampede was a bit disappointing, the amount of backstage segments certainly killed some momentum of that chaotic feel they were going for. Good main event. Sick fire spot in the opening match. Quality product."

To run a show for four and a half hours and have your floor be a 7/10 and maintain a hot sold out crowd from start to finish in an iconic stadium and give the people memorable results, great matches and new interesting directions/angles is nothing short of sensational. The show flew by and I loved how different each match was, they setup a ton of new stuff and furthered some ongoing stuff while putting on MOTW, MOTM and MOTY contenders. I'm not even sure there's a match on this show that went under the 7.5 threshold for me. AEW's standard for PPVs is so ridiculous as is and yet this one stands out as perhaps the best they've ever done in front of one of the hottest crowds I've heard in ages. They had a lot of eyes on them tonight and shined in every way imaginable. MOTN goes to Takeshita vs Okada but I have a very soft spot for that incredible main event that felt like the best parts of the Attitude Era."

Cope/Cage vs FTR was a really fun plunder match that I went in expecting to really hate, Takeshita/Okada was fantastic, far and away the MOTN and is probably going to be on most people's MOTY lists, Athena/Mina was really good, Mox/Kyle was fantastic, Ospreay/Joe was a great sprint that I feel got shown up by Swerve/Bandido, the Women's 4way was good, Stadium Stampede was really fun but probably one of the weaker outings for this type of stip. Max/Darby was really good, got the belt of Darby, and set up heel Kevin Knight, which I'm massively down for. Overall, fantastic show. The sort of show you remember for ages, it's that generational. Well, AEW definitely took the event name to heart because by going double or nothing this year, they came up trumps once again. Definitely up there with the quality you expect of AEW PPVs, and then some. Not a single bad match. Not a single "just okay" match. From 8pm to just gone midnight, just banger, after banger, after banger. By the main event, the opener seems like an age ago, but like Kylo Ren in the AT-AT, you're screaming for more. What an absolute marvel of a show, from top to bottom. And you know what they say about New York: if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. AEW is on fucking fire right now.
