[8.0] "I really wish Dragon Gate USA would put on more shows because this show rules. It brought the energy that the previous show didn't really have. Ho Ho Lun was really funny on commentary and I wish he stayed on. I was worried the Alec Price got injured from stage ramp collapsing but he seemed to be fine. Highlight of the show was the 6 man tag main event that was straight fire. Seeing Johnathan Gresham wrestler again was very a pleasure. I dont think I've seen him compete since before the stroke and I forgot how good he was."
[7.0] "A very fun and energetic show that improved as it carried on. DGUSA provided a fast-paced event filled with unique personalities and innovative movesets. A great advertisement for the brand. You got the best of both worlds with the last 2 matches. Gresham/YAMATO had technical displays and the 6-man was chaotic with little interruption."
[6.0] "For a first experience with Dragon Gate USA, this was good, not quite what all the hype made it seem like. It definitely has its own identity, that international feel. The card builds nicely as it goes and the last stretch is clearly the highlight. Compared to other shows that WM weekend, it didn't stand out as much as MLP."
[6.0] "The best show of The Collective Night 1. It wasn't always great but for the most part is was fun. Three matches on the show I'd consider to be great with the triple threat tag team match, Jonathan Gresham vs Yamato and my MOTN Marcus Mathers vs Susuma Yokosuka, all offering something different. The first two matches may not have been great but they at least exposed me to some workers who I hadn't seen before and still managed to impress me in different ways. The main event could've been great but went a bit long for what it was, although Kzy's appreciation for the crowd was very sweet. The show was clearly booked for quality over quantity and while they didn't always reach that level of quality I wanted, the effort was worth the time"
[6.0] "[6.3] DGUSA The Gate of Sin City was the first decent show apart of the Collective after a weak start. The show started off slow but built in quality as the night went on. Highlights were the last three matches of the night. This was the loudest the Horseshoe in Las Vegas was the whole day which makes sense. Overall, decent show was some good matches."
[6.0] "The first DGUSA show I've sat down and watched since the rebirth. Pretty fun show, easy to get through and the final two matches in particular are worth checking out. I just have two gripes. Larry Dallas is SO BAD. This man is Marcus from Superstore. So obnoxiously unfunny and abrasive, and he constantly kept making things about himself during the show. He literally told a shitty "Dey took r jobs! " joke when he was by himself, then tells it AGAIN later to Dombrowski during a match, presumably so he can get instant validation for his shitty joke. One of the dozens of indie commentators who try to be the Bobby Heenan heel commentator but don't understand that that involves more than just being a self-absorbed dickhead. Secondly, we get it y'all; there was a six-man tag team match that happened 20 years ago that Meltzer gave five stars to in a decade when guys like Angle, Danielson, KENTA etc. never got that rating. WE GET IT. It's brought up on commentary so often that it feels like the company is trying to build the brand's entire image around this one obscure match. Is every DGUSA show going forward going to have a trios main event until Meltzer gives them another five-star rating? Like what would they be doing right now if that match in 2006 had gotten ****3/4? Y'all, just focus on offering DGUSA as the lucharesu standard in the United States with no excessive frills or expectations. That's what made it work the first time."
[6.0] "This is a really good show if you look past the first two matches. YAMATO & Gresham is obviously the best match on this card, though I'd like to see them run it back down the line as they're capable of even more. This won't be the best card of Mania week but it's definitely worth a watch. ***1/4."
[8.0] "Great show with every match delivering. The opening three way dance had some fun spots, and Mathers vs Yokosuka was a fantastic back and forth. YAMATO and Gresham put on a classic match and the main event was highly entertaining. The best show of the Collective kickoff"
[7.0] "After the mediocre DGUSA rebirth and the surprising show the collaboration with PWR, DGUSA returns again this year. The level is significantly higher than Rebirth and quite similar to Gate of Revolution, the level of the card has been good with the last 2 matches which have been excellent (especially Gresham vs YAMATO) the rest of the card is also on good levels excluding the opener which was quite boring and ugly. I hope DGUSA puts on more shows throughout the year, without doing 1/2 show on WM week and that's it."
[7.0] "Willie Mack vs El Cucuy vs KAI: A finely competitive 10 minute sprint to start the show, all three did what they needed to and Mack getting the win was fine to see, Cucuy and KAI were fine [**1/2]. Ho Ho Lun & La Estrella vs Channing Decker & Rhys Maddox: Maddox and Decker had some decent team chemistry, Maddox showed the hunger at his young age of 18, Lun and Estrella winning may have not been surprising and overall it was a solid match [**3/4]. Marcus Mathers vs Susumu Yokosuka: A good back and forth contest featuring a younger talent in Mathers and a veteran in Yokosuka, they had some decent moments, definitely worth a watch [***3/4]. Ben-K & Hyo vs Alec Price & Jordan Oliver vs Aero Panther & Fight Panther Jr: A solid enough multi team match with all three teams showcasing what they can do with the DG team getting the win [***]. YAMATO vs Jonathan Gresham: My personal favourite match of the show, they showcased technical and good striking work, they had good chemistry and it showed, a great match [****1/4]. Dragon Kid, Kzy & Yuki Yoshioka vs ISHIN, Madoka Kikuta & Yoshiki Kato: A solid main event six man tag team match, they may have gone a bit longer than it may should have gone but there was still some decent enough action [****]"
