Yoshi Tatsu appeared during the National Title Match and distracted the Referee, which allowed Alpha Wolf to hit a Low Blow on Dragon Bane. After the Match Alpha Wolf was introduced as the newest member of Team 2000X.
After the Main Event Inamura nominiated Kenoh as the next Challenger, but Kenoh was attacked by Masa Kitamiya. Afterwards Kitamiya demanded a Title Match from Inamura.
[6.0] "The show definitely disappointed, but I didn't feel I wasted my time by watching it. Amakusa vs. Takahashi was good enough to be remembered at this time next year when people's best-of lists come out."
[6.0] "Not a great show by any means but there was still some things to like here. The Junior Title match was great a true match of the year contender. Of course there was also the schtick in the main event and the awful Alpha Wolf heel turn but this wasn't an awful show."
[3.0] "I skipped over the multi man tags, because they just didn't interest me at all. Daga/Odashima vs All Rebellion vs Eita/Shuji (****): Fast paced three way tag that was very entertaining and yet again was one of the highlights of the show. Huxley vs Kroos (***): A decent match that tried to be a good spotfest, but it really didn't look too enticing. Spanish fly was the big highlight of the match. Wolf vs Bane (***): Just like the prior match, a spotfest that didn't really click. One of the many let down's of the show. Good Brothers vs Kaito/Morris (***.75): One of the better matches on the card, both teams did pretty good and it was entertaining, better then I had thought it would be. Naito/Bushi vs Marufuji/Kenoh (**): This was a horrid match to get through, although I must give credit to Kenoh and Bushi, as they really tried to make the most of the match but it just didn't work, especially with Naito and Marufuji beyond their prime. AMAKUSA vs Hiromu (****.75): Amazing Junior title match in what was without a doubt, MOTN. Hiromu beat the fuck out of AMAKUSA until he fought back, which then lead to a back and forth banger. Great match. Inamura vs Ozawa (*.5): A little bit of decent action, but a huge main event let down that was a pain to get through. Just an all around bad match."
[4.0] "Kind of bad, honestly. AMAKUSA vs. Hiromu is an early contender for MOTY, but the rest of the show was not good. I love Naito but he clearly cannot do this anymore and I hope that this title reign is short."
[5.0] "It sadly became a one match show and that one match deserves all the praise in the world. Hiromu Takahashi defending the GHC Jr Heavyweight title against AMAKUSA stole the show and was a star making performance by AMAKUSA. This one match elevated the whole event. The GHC Jr Heavyweight Tag title match was solid along with the Huxley dethroning Kroos to win the PROGRESS Atlas title being a pleasant surprise. Huxley has improved a lot since joining Passionate RATEL's and Kroos has been fun to watch in NOAH. The undercard multi-man tag matches were what you'd expect and I'm curious where the White Raven Squad goes but I'm surprised they didn't just continue pairing up KENTA with KENOH. I'd love for them to do more with Tetsuya Endo because his NOAH run hasn't come close to reaching its potential. The GHC National title match was pretty good but I wish the build up was better because the surprise heel turn is fine but could've meant more. Looking forward to those two running the match back. Gallows & Anderson winning wasn't surprising and it was one of their better matches in recent memory. Naito, BUSHI, and RYUSEI being in NOAH is great on paper with Naito being still so damn over but watching him here was rough. I love Naito and thought him focusing on mostly tag matches was the way to go but he is so banged up that I'm legit worried for the guy's health. A short tag run is fine--even if the tag title don't mean much and V0 seems likely--but I'm not looking forward to LTJ vs Gallows & Anderson in the year 2026. The main event was okay but OZAWA as a heel is hurting all his matches against faces. Really hoping Kiyamiya doesn't look a second title match three months after he last challenged. I was expecting a longer Inamura title run but if the plan is to make Kitamiya champion and take over Team 2000X while OZAWA solidifies himself as the face of NOAH then I'm all for it. The new gen in the main event scene has been such a breath of fresh air though."
[3.0] "Genuinely really bad. One good match all night but other than that everything was roll your eyes worthy if not straight up turn your tv off level of stuff. They managed to make Alpha Wolf vs Dragon Bane which is pretty much bound to be great an awful angle. Not sure where NOAH goes from here but i doubt it's up."
[6.0] "Typically, I don't review non-indie shows but hey, it's the new year and I might just review the occasional larger (Japanese? ) show. We'll see. Monologue out of the way, this was a decent effort. Alpha Wolf & Dragon Bane was pretty fun, I liked the tag title match but fuck, Hiromu & AMAKUSA tore the house down. Really, this was a one match show but that one match was unreal. A genuine match of the year contender. ***1/4."
[4.0] "Awful start to the year by NOAH. OK multi man tags, a misplaced title match for an English company, constant T2kX shenanigans, bunch of guys held together by tape, and poor matches. Amakusa and Hiromu stole the show. Kenoh carries a whole tag match. NOAH keeps Kaito in the chair in the corner of the hotel room. Huge bummer of a show especially to attend in person."
