[5.0] "There was at least some set up for Final Battle here. Rush got hurt but some of the plans here make very little sense (Adam Priest and Tommy Billington getting a tag title shot when they have never had a tag team match match in ROH/are winless as a team in AEW.) Teams like Blake Christian & Lee Johnson and even the Von Erichs collect random wins, Blake who continues to push how he is undefeated in ROH in 2025 while losing on AEW TV not to mention a various amount of other teams that are just doing the same things over and over again. It is a reminder of how little wins and losses tend to mean around here. Ian has to push that wins could lead to title contention while things are often just thrown together with continuity having little to no bearing on the matchmaking. Nigel and Lee is being ran back based on Nigel beating Lee in a four way in August and their match at Final Battle a year ago in what should be a good match but is an example of throwing things together randomly. The quarterfinals of the Women's Pure Title tournament mercifully concluded after being in progress for almost three months leaving the semifinals to be rushed to the day before Final Battle. ROH has had three PLEs in 2025 (all taking place in the second half of the year) with Guevara set to pull double duty on two of the three. Middling show so it is ROH in 2025."
