[3.0] "A messy Russo Nitro with random partner drama, weak matches, and a weak Bret vs Flynn title bout. Only Steiner's fake retirement and Luger's parody shined."

[2.0] "New Year's Evil... more like New Year's Evil Brain Rot. A whole night dedicated to a tag team tournament where practically all of the teams were randomly selected and really just dragged on the whole "Can they coexist? " trope like crazy. The huge majority of the tag matches didn't last at least 5 minutes. And not to mention that Jerry Flynn, of all people, got a world title match with Bret Hart (who needed help to win). Two positives from this show definitely came in clutch. One being the Lex Luger town hall mocking Sting and doing the "AOW" after every sentence was hilarious to me. The other being how well Scott Steiner sold that his wrestling career was "over", until the... swerve... at the end (surprise, surprise)."

[2.0] "This is the show where Jerry Flynn got a title shot against Bret Hart, and Bret won after NWO interference. Yep, Bret Hart needed help to beat JERRY FLYNN. Also, Scott Steiner joined the NWO in the most obvious swerve imaginable. The rest of the show was your typical Russo era Nitro, only with babyfaces getting spray painted after NWO matches."

[0.0] "It's amazing to me that Russo has a reputation for being "creative", because I swear he only has a handful of ideas. Switch titles constantly, beat up women, put things on poles, nonsense betrayal, bad worked shoot promos, and tag team partners that hate each other, that's about it. The last one dominates this episode, because it's a whole tournament of partners who hate each other! Almost every match starts with partners attacking each other, like that doesn't get old and lose what meager shock factor it had after the first time. Amazingly he ran almost the exact same tournament in early TNA just a couple years later, it was awful then as well. Once again a Nitro with no redeeming value, just bad matches and nonsense angles. Russo's run is going so badly WCW will in 2 two weeks ask him to step down and work in a committee, which will cause him to quit the company in a huff, and thank god for that. If only they hadn't called him back a couple months later..."
