The balance between story and in-ring wrestling is in shambles, women are nothing but sex objects, worked shoot angles, all the usual trademarks. When Russo was writing in the WWF he managed to cram 3 hours worth of TV into a 2 hour show, and he actually gets to book a 3 hour show and ends up cramming 4 hours into it. Mind boggling. Also it's probably not a good idea to completely change the direction of your company on the go-home show for a PPV."

The Bagwell segment and match destroyed the credibility of all future matches. The insider bullshit should have never been brought up on tv the business is far better without it"
[2.0] "This was the first ever Vince Russo Nitro, and not only was it a terrible wrestling show, it was a really bad go home show as well. They could have waited another week to do the regime change, as this show had a whole different atmosphere than the last few weeks, and not in a good way."
[1.0] "The first Nitro where Russo and Ferrara are officially in charge, and it is freaking horrible. We are told Russo and Ferrara are now on the "creative team" and WCW is going in a "new direction", whatever the hell that means in kayfabe. The opening match had potential but Bret Hart comes out for no reason in the middle to complain about something unrelated and the match is just, I dunno, canceled? Disco squashes Vampiro in practically seconds, for some reason. Tag title match was decent but rushed and messy at times. Meng/Hugh is meh, Wright/Rick isn't good, the David Flair stuff is just horrible as expected. Women forced to strip, in case you forgot Russo is writing. Bret/Sting had an abominably boring match. Bagwell gives us our first "shooty shoot" promo as he bitterly complains about Russo forcing him to job. The 3way is probably the best match of the show but also overbooked and a bit sloppy at times. Smiley starts his screaming gimmick, which is actually funny so there's that. Main event is ok but again overbooked. Hall and Nash were doing some weird inside joke gimmick backstage all show and I have no clue what it was about. Flair showed up in Kimberly's hotel room and acted like a lunatic. It's gonna be a long ride."
