[8.0] "Yeah it was a good episode of NXT the last two matches were fairly decent especially the triple threat"

[9.0] "Overall, I thought this episode was really strong. I appreciated the follow-up to the events at Evolution, where Blake Monroe turned on Jordynne Grace, leading to her loss of the NXT Women's Championship. I also enjoyed the segments with Tony D'Angelo during the breaks, which added to the excitement leading up to what ended up being the best match of the night."

[5.0] "Boring NXT episode. The first two matches ended without a finish. Only the triple-threat match was good. However, next week's show, in Texas, looks promising and should be quite fun. NXT occasionally travels, but they need more male wrestlers as it's gutted on the male side.."

[3.0] "Since I started watching in 2016 NXT have been my favourite WWE product (even my favourite wrestling product during Black and Gold), so it's sad to see how bad it's lately. Awful show overall. Nothing to see in the first two matches. I liked Blake's little vignette, pretty cool. The triple threat and the trios matches were good enough. I'm not big into Tony D but he looked great in the finish. I love both Oba and Yoshiki but this thing with Briggs it's not working for me. Most skippeable show in a long time.."

[6.0] "Opening segment with Fatal Influence worked not only NXT but also TNA into it with the recap of what happened at GAB and Evolution but also spoke about the upcoming match at Slammiversary which was good to watch. Josh Briggs/Oba Femi/Yoshiki Inamura segment was interesting which led to a 3 way match being announced for next week in Houston on NXT. Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin & Saquon Shugars vs Joe Hendry, Mike Santana & Trick Williams: Solid match with Williams/Hendry/Santana trying to work together even if it did collapse near the end when Hendry and Santana hit Williams which was interesting this close to Slammiversary, the no contest outcome actually worked in this one, DarkState were okay I guess with nothing too special from them [**3/4]. Kali Armstrong vs Karmen Petrovic: Not a match really as only last just over a minute with Jordynne Grace causing the DQ finish due to having anger over what happened with Blake Monroe at Evolution [DUD]. Tony D'Angelo vs Channing Lorenzo vs Luca Crusifino: This was a fun three way match, better than I was expecting it to be, all three delivered, but did feel a bit rushed and should have been on a PLE and not on weekly TV, D'Angelo winning was the only worthy decision here, Lorenzo and Crusifino were decent in this one, I really enjoyed this [****]. Masha Slamovich, Sol Ruca & Zaria vs Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx: Slamovich pinning Jayne was an interesting booking decision, the match was solid as it can be for a TV main event sort of preview multi woman match, solid action from all involved [***1/2]."

[7.0] "I mean, it felt a little unfocused and convoluted because this was trying to build to Slammiversary, Next week NXT episode, and had the repercussions of The Great American Bash and Evolution, but in general, I liked the show"

[6.0] "Good show overall. Good opener before the incident between Hendry/Sanatana and Williams. Good triple threat match. Good main event."
LadySnowblood wrote on 16.07.2025:
[3.0] "This episode of NXT was a handfull of nothing. NXT still has good PLE's but the weeklie shows became uninteresting. Maybe less TNA or cut ties with them would help and it would bring the NXT feeling back. NXT lost a bit of their identity in the recent months."

[4.0] "TNA needs to stop hoping a bigger company will carry them to mainstream relevancy. Episodes and PLEs of NXT with TNA wrestlers are usually pretty good. When it's the other way around it's either NXT jobbers or with Trick Williams, a trainee still, makes everyone look like a doofus. Aside from that Booker T is still on commentary and I've seriously wondered if he's beginning to have some kind of cognitive issues. I'm not trying to be facetious, crass, or snarky. He sounds worse than he ever has and most of his commentary is grunts and untintelligible words. I mean, I guess it's always been like that but it seems worse than usual lately."
