[7.0] "I thought this was a really fun and consistent show, and an enjoyable finals to 2009's G1 Climax. There was a couple great matches on this show, with my personal favourite being the semi-final match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Hiroshi Tanahashi. I was very happy to see Togi Makabe get a G1 win here; he has become a favourite of mine to watch since I've started watching and covering these New Japan shows. Shinsuke Nakamura was the MVP of the night."
