[10.0] "One of my favorite shows from CZW I've seen to date. The tournament is EXTREMELY strong. Thumbtack Jack, Masada, and Sami Callihan all were highlights of the tournament. This was supposed to be Zandig's last deathmatch tournament but we'd see him wrestling in GCW's Tournament of Survival in like 7-8 years. The non tournament matches were simply filler, but the OMG vs. Moore match helped play into Moore and Drake's ongoing feud over the CZW title. It's must watch if you like CZW."

[9.0] "Best Tournament of Death CZW ever put on, We get a continuation of Sami Callihan vs Danny Havoc feud which is never bad but Sami getting his nose busted was pretty gross, yes I know I saw the nail strip pit. Moxley vs Jack was a little botchy but Moxley made the match a winner for me, his reactions were priceless humor and showed great character, Masada gets to show how awesome he is in his CZW TOD debut by beating regular Brain Damage, Nick Gage vs John Zandig was sick with glass everywhere and I was worried Gage was gonna cut himself on glass like he did the year before. The triple threat was boring until Rich Swann jumped off a truck, The semi finals were both around the same length and we're awesome but predictable. The next non tournament match was boring and skipable, The Main Event was scary, gruesome, and horrifying, I loved it. And finally Jack not only got the gold he got another TOD win with no controversy like last year. This my last CZW dvd I own so no more reviews until I get more."

[9.0] "Callihan/Havoc is a fantastic opener, a prelude to their infamous Cage Of Death classic to come. Moxley/Thumbtack used an intelligent stipulation that never as been part of these tournaments before, making it both original for providing new means of violence and intelligent in preserving more traditional deathmatch formats for later on. Brain/Masada was a more traditional deathmatch that was kept basic and simple, yet showed aggression on a level that meant something Zandig/Gage brought craziness, without actually going overboard, and while it was not as immediate as you might hope, they really managed to get the crowd ina frenzy by the end of it, making it a fine way to definitively close a past era of CZW. The 3-Way match was a nice idea to give the tournament a break, but it seemed like only an half-speed efforts. Callihan/Thumbtack had a very dynamic flow, even with the contrived ending. Gage/Masada was by far the low point of the tournament, the mindless violence without meaning. Moore/OMG seemed like nothing more than weak filler, but they actually put laudable effort in what would have been a pretty good undercard match. The Finals was nothing more than a random deathmatch of guys hitting each other with all weapons available, but the structure of the show made it acceptable, they were protected and built enough to not be a disappointment , the length helped to establish them and provide a great make-do for the botched finals of the original tournament. While I feel there was a definite lull near the end of the show, there is no denying that CZW took a crappy situation and turn it into a golden opportunity, as TOD Rewind is vastly superior to TOD 8, provides a basis for Masada to be a big deal in tournaments for the next few years, makes Thumbtack Jack a much more credible tournament champion despite his limitations and even builds up a big rematch with Nick Gage at Cage Of Death, making this show the ultimate redemption for CZW's ultraviolence."

[9.0] "Had some of the matches gone just a little bit longer, I might have given this a perfect 10. This was incredible. Sure, its death match wrestling, its not everyone's cup of tea, but going into this with the mindset that I'm watching a DM tournament, this was a perfectly executed tournament. Some gruesome spots are featured in this TOD. Oddly enough, the right men were in the finals. Their respective first and second round matches were great and both deserved the main event spot. The non tournament matches did nothing for me so I'm going to ignore them here. The main event was insane. There were moments I cringed, and I've watched enough CZW to know the norm. This was intense and both men gave it their all. The entire tournament was a build to this final match and it wasn't a disappointment. I say that because the recent two TOD finals have ranged from average to good, so going 10 years back, not knowing what to expect... I was floored. Watch this if you get the chance."

[8.0] "Honestly, I thought this was a great event with one of the best Deathmatch tournaments in history. Some of the matches weren't as good as the others but Masada's semi final match and the final match is my favourite deathmatch of all time. It featured amazing Ultraviolent spots with great psychology and managed to pull off a five star match. Overall, it is still one of my favourite events with some great wrestlers featured on the card"
