[8.0] "Fun show, great venue. Good mix of world class out of town names, familiar local vets, and fresh new faces. Made for a cool dynamic all night with matches and workers of all experience levels, and then seeing local talent trying to hold their own against legit polished workers like Gresham and Yamashita. Scorpious in particular making his debut as the third man between Mo Jabari and Aeroboy was cool to see. He definitely looked new, and was clearly there to eat the fall, but did well in terms of constantly being in the right position for spots. Yamashita was the highlight as expected, she was the entire reason why I went. I came away with a better appreciation of how easily her style translates to (north) american indies. Simple match that made both people involved look strong and tough and valiant. She was treated like a star and effortlessly used it to elevate Ava. Other main highlight was the Top Talent Title match. You can definitely see the experience between the two of them, Harlon looked awesome and Weston did everything to make him look great like a worthy champion is supposed to. On the other hand, I was underwhelmed with Gresham. He's as good a technical wrestler as you'll find, but he just has no charisma or special traits like his contemporaries (ZSJ, Garcia, etc) or other shorter wrestlers (Ishii) to stand out which just puts more of a spotlight on his height. Overall very impressed with my first TTW show. Crowd was loud and mostly good, organizers look like they mean well, looked very clean during showtime. Big improvement on the last RCW show I went to: nicer venue, better production and lighting, better organized, and much more convenient location for me."
