[9.0] "Absolutely loved this show. A lot of phenomenal in ring work, with some advancements to stories heading into all in. The Spanish hangman promo, the Mistico entrance, and the atmosphere just encapsulates a fantastic show."

[9.0] "Awesome show, one of the most special Dynamites of all time. The vibe and the atmosphere of a red-hot Arena Mexico elevated the show and some moments just felt larger than life like Ospreay or Joe getting crazy pops and THAT Mistico entrance which just sent shivers down my spine. Hangman cutting a promo in fluent spanish was a very classy way to kick off the show. Hangman's the goat, man. The opening 14 men tag was solid; shame for Atlantis (Sr. and Jr.) getting booed which slightly hurt the match. Shout out to Brody for the shirt; what a goat... Briscoe vs. Okada stops this show from being a 10/10; a heatless and boring match which made the crowd chant "otra lucha". Things picked with Mistico vs. MJF. The in-ring action was average, but the atmosphere was insane and made the match better. Mistico felt like God and MJF became the most hated men in Mexico for like 20 minutes. I'm glad JetSpeed are still going after the Hurt Syndicate. The four way was a boatload of fun, awesome stuff. Zeuxis vs. Mercdes was short but they did a lot of cool spots and put on a fun match. Tony doing the "50s private eye" bit was phenomenal. The 10-men main event was my match of the night; the crowd went nuts for the babyfaces and hated the heels like crazy. Hangman saving Swerve in the post-match will end being a very pivotal moment in this story. Awesome show; all the matches delivered (outside of Okada vs. Briscoe) although there weren't many stories being developed. 9/10"

[7.0] "Maybe not a total "grand slam, " but certainly a solid crossover wrestling show with some nice nods from AEW to their hosts and live audience (i.e. Hangman's Spanish promo). The main event was a fun big, all-star match with some decent main event scene overtones, while the Hologram/Ricochet/Rush/Dorada four-way and Mistico-MJF were also good (with the latter helping to set up what should be a good feud). Mercedes vs Zeuxis was solid, Okada vs Briscoe was OK but surprisingly a bit flat, and the opener - while suffering perhaps even a bit more than the main event from just having so many participants involved at once - was at least a fun spectacle. Enjoyable watch."

[9.0] "I've hardly watched AEW since its inception (not hating, just WWE is plenty of tv as is), but heard WWE essentially did the World Collide w AAA when they did because AEW had a planned show w CMLL, so naturally I was intrigued. This was an incredible show for me to have just caught. All the matches were good to great. Also fun seeing Shelton Benjamin, Samoa Joe, Ricochet, Adam Cole fka Sin Cara, fka Sasha Banks, fka Dean Ambrose, andeveryone else. Cara/MJF was my favorite but the tag team and womens matches were both great too. Honestly I take back my initial take - all the matches were great!"

[7.0] "A satisfactory show. Hangman cut long promo in spanish, no idea what he said. The opening 14 man tag match was entertaining and exactly the kind of match you'd expect: total chaos while some heels got cheered and some babyfaces boo'd. Briscoe vs Okada was super boring. I don't really care about MJF and I definitely don't want to see Hurt Syndicate on my TV - I guess the match was pretty entertaining but I didn't care about it at all... And the finish was just two low blows. The highflying 4-way was very entertaining and match of the night. Mone vs Zeuxis sucked - the only redeeming part was the short Toni Storm video and her suplexing Mone and all the belts went flying. Main event was also fine multi man match. Singles matches on this show sucked and while the multi man matches were fun, none of them were great and the show was just about giving everyone a chance to experience Arena Mexico - it was just a grandioso house show."

[10.0] "An 8/10 show if you take the crowd and the arena out of it, but an easy 10 with both of those elements considered. The type of show that leaves an imprint on your heart as a wrestling fan. A Hangman promo in Spanish? Hell yeah. A beautiful and triumphant entrance for Mistico that makes you realize just how big he is in Mexico? Double hell yeah. Tons of fun wrestling on this show, and the genesis of Toni Storm looking incredible in Carmen Sandiego cosplay. Even a 4/10 Okada performance couldn't bring it down given how hot the crowd was. Hell of a show, and I hope it's the first of many. Seems like CMLL and AEW were both big time chuffed by how this one turned out, as they should be. This was spectacular as a two-and-half-hour TV show. This show also inspired me to sign up for a CMLL YouTube membership to catch more of their shows. I've watched three so far and the wrestling is awesome, especially if you're into lucha."

[8.0] "As a spaniard, hearing La Quinta Estación in AEW is like the coolest thing ever. Hangman's promo was also great stuff (that ñ needs some work). The multi man matches were a lot of fun, specially with Dax and Ricochet doing great heel work. Making Atlantis get the pin when it was obvious he was going to be booed wasn't the smartest decission, although I get it is because of a future FTR vs los Atlantis. Okada vs Mark was obviously the worst part of the show, it was almost as fun as it was sad seeing the crowd changing the excitement and the big pop for Okada to chanting "otra lucha" because of how boring it was. Místico vs MJF was awesome, not a fan of the finish but I hope this eventually leads to Místico having revenge in All In or Forbidden Door. Zeuxis vs Moné was pretty cool. I'm not usually a fan of having outsiders as champions, but since the CMLL titles ar not a big deal (Zeuxis had 2 defenses in 300 days and it's like that with every championship) and Moné already have a match against Catalina, so it's cool. It's probably better for the CMLL to have Moné showing the belt around USA to get some attention outside México. Still, the lack of women's wrestling is a pretty bad look, as usual. The other bad part of the show it's that it wasn't really significant for the stories besides the brawls after Moné and Mox matches. In resume: cool and different show for AEW with an awesome crowd, but nothing was must see."

The matches varied in quality; some didn't meet my expectations. However, I enjoyed the 4 Million Peso Four Way Match. I hope they return to Mexico, as the fans were fantastic and the venue was great. Overall, a fun event."

I expected more from Briscoe/Okada and the Women's Title Match, Mark Briscoe who continued to feel sorely underutilized. Adam Page's promo and Mistico's entrance were the top highlights of the show for me."

[6.0] "Hot crowd and different kind of atmosphere than we used to elevated this show to a higher level, however the actual stuff on the screen wasn't really all that impressive. Hangman promo in spanish was excellent. The matches are completely forgettable and almost feel repetitive. Bunch of multi men and tag matches that have nothing to hook you with, just were booked because they wanted to fill the card with dozens of men (and of course women aren't allowed to work the show because that is the Tony Khan was to a T) Okada and Mone continue to be the most overrated ''big match players'', I feel like I live in a different universe when I see them constantly underdeliver. Deathriders stuff was at least decent. Toni's carmen cosplay was fantastic, one of the few actual highlights of the show. Overall a middle of the road show that will be rated higher due to the amazing crowd and atmosphere like I said."

[9.0] "The show opens with Arena looks cool as fuck then we get a Banging Hangman Spanish promo (bilingual king) nice to have promo in Spanish without what chants got big reactions from the loud crowd to open the show which was great to see then we open the in ring action with a 14 man tag team match between the DCF, Dax and Volador jr vs Adam Cole, Bandido with some of the best gear I've seen in a long time, Atlantis JR & SR, Dani Garcia, Brody king and Templario awesome and fun opening match with a crazy good crowd. Then we get a video package for Kenny and Okada as we go to Briscoe vs Okada which was a great match seeing Okada in arena Mexico is so fucking cool then we get an post match beatdown with the crowd begging for Kenny. Then we move to MJF vs Mistico. Mistico's entrance was fucking godly the match was fucking great post match Max low bows Mistico to get the match thrown out as he knew he couldn't win and then the beat down starts as he unmasks Mistico and put his masks on to crazy loud boos the save is made by Bandido Templario and Titian and Jetspeed I feel Max may get jumped in the parking lot. Then we move onto the 4 million pesos high flying match. I was really looking forward to this after it was announced and it delivered in every way I expected it to great match with Hologram taking the W then we move to Mercedes vs Zuxuis this match was great. Post match we get then we get a video package from a detective Tony storm and appearance as she hits a German on Mercedes leading to belts flying fucking everywhere as Mercedes escapes before Toni could hit storm zero. Which was great to see. We then move onto the main event opened with a godly pop for Will Ospreay. An excellent main event which was a great watch with a great post match angle with hanger and mox with the Faces standing tall and Mox realising the wall are finally starting to close on him as we get closer to All in. Overall an amazing and beautiful show which was pretty much all great which was amazing to watch and the aura of the show was off the charts good"

[6.0] "The CMLL set-up, the Mexican fans, and the interesting crowd reactions made this more interesting than it was. I've no idea what the Atlantis twins did to deserve so much heat. Atlantis Jr. always comes across like a good guy and natural babyface outside of Mexico. We've had too many huge tag matches recently and they upped it even more this time. Tony Khan must think it's hilarious. Two boring multi-man matches in recent weeks and the promise of a 12-man, then upping it to a 14-man and sticking another 10-man tag on the card. He has to be taking the piss. It's funny how fans turn on guys like Jericho and Kevin Kelly for their politics off screen - which they've never brought up on camera - and yet you get fans loving Brody King with his I.C.E shirt, CM Punk promoting child trans-sexualism, and Ian "Red Flag" Riccaboni trying to incite a lynch mob against Kevin Kelly because Kelly opposes child trafficking or something, and getting rewarded for it with a new job. Self-important dweebs acting like the world is their Twitter post. Like Stephanie McMahon said, "Philanthropy is the future of marketing". It's all corporatism and it all sucks."

The opener was tremendous, giving us the likes of Bandido, Brody King, Templario, Dax, Takeshita, Fletcher and Archer all in one ring. Boy the crowd hated Atlantis. Okada and Briscoe was predictable, but great match between Mistico and MJF. Mistico is a national hero in Mexico. Very cool 4-way match, in which Hologram prevails over Lio Rush, Dorada & Ricochet. Mercedes adds to her hardware collection by winning the CMLL Women's strap, and the main event was outstanding. Will Ospreay is the best wrestler on the planet, and we got him with Swerve, Mox, the Bucks & Hobbs. Super entertaining episode of Dynamite!"

"This show definitely had a special flair to it. The atmosphere in the building was impeccable. The opening promo by Adam Page in Spanish definitely set the tone for the rest of the show. 1) I'm not a fan of multi-man tag team matches, but obviously it's a thing in Lucha Libre, am I right? Otherwise, why would they book not one, but two(! ) 10+ tag team matches in one show? Or they just wanted to justify moving their entire roster across the border - they've already paid for the tickets and accomodation, they might as well use the guys. Plus, they had a double volume to work with, because you must utilize ALL your luchadors in the span of those two hours, but you can't forget about the rest of the roster as well - so you either spam with a multitude of 5-minute matches or just go for a couple of multi-man tag team match-ups. 2) I wonder why there was no advertisement on the canvas (not even the AEW logo), on the middle turnbuckle pads (they were just left blank - they coudn't find 4 more pads with the AEW logo on them? ), and at ringside. Was it so because of some legal issues? 3) That CMLL ring was much stiffer than in USA, wasn't it? I don't like the fact that the commentators didn't mention it, but they made sure to let me know the ropes were tighter - who cares about the ropes? The canvas with no give was what made me feel every bump the wrestlers took - for the first time ever I FELT the bumps, not just saw them. 4) Wow, Mistico in Mexico and Mistico in the USA are two completely different things. I saw grown men literally crying during his entrance, and what an entance it was! 5) The Mercedes Mone belt situation is getting out of control lol."

[6.0] "Was tempted to go higher on this that the 6 Ive given it - due mostly to the white hot Mexico City Crowd and Sexy Hangman's opening promo entirely in Spanish. However, I think the wrestling let the show down overall and there was no need for two loaded multi mans - I struggled to follow either if I'm honest."
ElNiniOM wrote on 20.06.2025:
[6.0] "This show in Mexico got off to a good start with this Hangman solidarity promo, which isn't fantastic but is rather welcome in this racist political context. Brody King's t-shirt also warmed our hearts. Unfortunately, the quality of the wrestling was sometimes disappointing, with multiman matches without much at stake and a disappointing and predictable clash between Okada and Briscoe. The Moné and Zeuxis match saved the day a little, as did MJF vs Mistico in another style. The 4-way was relatively anecdotal. Apart from the matches, we were treated to a good start to the show and a rather fun Storm intervention. Hangman's arrival at the end of the show was almost announced, but punctuated this Grand Slam Mexico show, which was still enjoyable despite its shortcomings, notably because of the great atmosphere and the positive political messages that were relayed. In-ring quality: 2.75/5. Non-match angles and segments: 1/3. Bonus/malus: atmosphere +0.25. Total: 6/10. Show seen on AEW Plus."

[6.0] "I kinda feel a bit frustrated with this event, because if it was still fine and enjoyable, I feel like most of the anticipated matches failed to deliver as they should. First, it's crazy to see Okada in the "worst" match of the night. The four way was good, but never passed the upper gear, and the main event was fine, but too short with a bad ending. A solid show, but I was looking for way more."
RavenCrow75 wrote on 20.06.2025:

Too many shenanigans and a title change that should not have occurred. You almost have to feel bad for CMLL because it seemed like AEW was taking advantage of them by making look more or less like enhancement talent."
OKZ Will wrote on 20.06.2025:
[10.0] "Now that felt like a truly special night. A molten hot crowd being served top notch wrestling, with all the usually excesses and bullshit of US televisions dialed down to the minimum. Every single match met or exceeded expectations, and every single match featured or progressed an ongoing story. Even the 4-way match, which existed mostly to be a fun party match, progressed the Ricochet/Cru story and hinted at more Hologram and Dorada tag matches to come. This was an excellent television show elevated to historically significant by the place it happened."

[9.0] "What a feel good show! This Grand Slam Dynamite really delivered and produced an unforgettable Arena Mexico event. The fans were wild and funny as well, this was a rather "smark" crowd. Hangman opening to a massive pop and cutting his promo in Spanish had some Omega in Japan vibe, what a babyface! Mistico's entrance was the highlight and the match with MJF very good, pure heat after the match when Maxwell took off his mask! The other big match was the 4 way, not 100% lucha libre, it had some AEW/PWG style, Hologram won and I hope he's getting a real push. The two multi man tag were super fun with some white hot reactions from Mexico for Ospreay, Adam Cole, Samoa Joe, Bandido and to the heel side, big heat for Moxley, Yuta and even the face Atlantis father and son (Kyle Fletcher getting cheers from wrestling them was hilarious) Mercedes Moné vs Zeuxis was good with another belt for the CEO! Not enough women matches though and didn't really need the Okada vs Mark Briscoe, it was good but what's the point if Omega is not here? This CMLL partnership is awesome and well done, feel like AEW really respect the promotion and the wrestlers, I hope we get more Arena Mexico shows in the future!"

There wasn't a standout match on this show so I'll take off one point for that, but there were so many great moments and the crowd was fantastic. Hangman coming out cutting a promo in Spanish, Brody King's pre-match attire, Mistico entering to Me Muero, a few dozen AEW wrestlers getting their first appearance in the hallowed halls of Arena Mexico...it was a show to remember"

[9.0] "It's hard for me to not give this show a 10/10. First and foremost, it had one of the best audiences for an AEW show ever. The cheering, the chants, the engagement with nearly every wrestler -- holy shit, Mexico City. Y'all are godlike. The vibes were immaculate. There were also several iconic, unforgettable moments. Hangman's opening promo en espanol. Brody King's "Abolish ICE" entrance shirt. All of Arena Mexico singing Me Muero during Mistico's entrance. Some absolutely peak pro wrestling. But I can't give a show with this mediocre of a card a perfect score. It just doesn't work like that. Take that one point and blame it on Tony Khan for prioritizing getting as many people in front of this audience as possible instead of booking the best matches he could. Grand Slams should matter more than the mix of multiman messes and disappointing in-ring performances from several upper-card AEW folk."
Obdizzleo88 wrote on 19.06.2025:
[10.0] "First of all, some of the criticisms of this show were unwarranted and more of a reflection of how insecure the IWC is as a whole. Some are whining about Místico being "buried" in his hometown because he got embarrassed by MJF unmasking him, ignoring the fact that he was saved by Jet Speed, getting a replacement mask in the process, and good on the camera crew for not further exposing his face, only showing when he got a mask back on. I had major chills during Místico's entrance, I heard somewhere that he hadn't used that music in 14 years! The sing-along was absolutely beautiful! And the pop he received was next-level! The Arena Mexico crowd was also hot af for Ospreay, Swerve and Joe(Opps). Was everything in-ring flawless? Not particularly, but the overall vibe of the show makes giving it a 10 rating extremely easy."

[9.0] "[8.5] Really really fun show, and honestly a really resonant show given all the real-world bullshit surrounding it. Hangman's opening promo was really nice, the 14 man tag was a super fun clusterfuck, Okada/Briscoe was kinda eh, the 4-way was really fun, Mone vs Zeuxis was really good for how short it was, and the main event was good, and we finally got Hangman and Swerve in the same ring not trying to kill each other. I think my only issue other than the fact that this 2 and a half hour card had one ten minute women's match is that MJF vs Mistico was a fantastically simple match up until the ending where Max just took the DQ win and then unmasked Mistico. I'm like half-sure it's leading to an apuestas match or something similar at All In, but man, you cannot convince me Mistico getting his win back in Texas would be a bigger moment than beating Max in full patriot getup in the arena where he made his name surrounded by his countrymen. Fantastic show, held back by Okada/Briscoe and my feelings regarding MJF/Mistico."

A great main event that offered us an interesting staredown and interactions between Mox, Page and his potential allies, The Bucks. The show didn't advance more on the other storylines but it was not the purpose of the show. Hangman spoke spanish, Mistico entered on "Me Muero", some guys were welcomed as literal gods (Adam Cole, Will Ospreay, Samoa Joe). Yeah, beautiful night, pro wrestling at it's best."

Excalibur did very small translations but this was not enough. So for me this segment I could not understand what was being said, there wasn't really anything going on at all. But the rest of the matches were mainly good. Another key feature of the show was the hardness of the ring mat. It didn't look to give at all in terms of landing on it so the matches had a more brutal feel to them. The Hologram match was well done, those involved in that seem to be very strong in multi man matches. Also the ceo match delivered as well. Ceo had great appearance and the Toni Storm suplex after the match was memorable as well."

The Mistico/MJF match was pretty good up until the ridiculous finish and one women's match (which was the shortest on the show) on a 2.5 hour show is pretty terrible in the year 2025. TK needs to do better. My favorite match was the four way, just a great example of guys doing crazy athletic stuff for the entire time."

Sometimes I just want to say "great showcase of technical wrestling" or "total flop" and move on with my day. Forcing people to stretch thoughts into filler just to meet a quota doesn't improve quality--it just discourages casual fans from engaging. Let us leave short comments if we want. Not everyone has hours to write an essay. Anyway: Decent show that was carried by the crowd and certain fun moments. Most of the matches underdelivered a bit; however, it's hard to resist the atmosphere and not feel entertained or invested in what's going on! It's for sure a good episode of Dynasty; I'm just greedy for bangers after bangers."

The Hangman promo was incredible, mainly because it was 100% in Spanish, something unthinkable for an event of this magnitude. The first 14-man match was decent; the only thing I felt was the ending, but it wasn't a bad match. Then the confrontation between Briscoe and Okada was disappointing for me; I expected much more, especially since they both had a good match in C2. Then came the match between MJF and Mistico, which was incredible, but with a flawed ending in my opinion. I feel like this will continue for All In, in a mask vs. hair match. I don't want to forget to mention the highlight of the night with Mistico's entrance alongside "La Quinta Estacion"--fantastic. Then came the four-way match, which was very good, fast-paced, with agility from everyone, and some great moments to remember. Moné's match was another low point of the night due to its short duration and the slow pace of the participants. Finally, the main event was spectacular, but with a rather unclimactic ending. The final segment of the show was the perfect way to end. Given the importance of this show and everything surrounding it, it met all my expectations, and the Mexican audience is one of the best in the world. 10/10."

The structure was a little bit different than usual, we had less segments and no backstage angles, it was more focused on the ring action, as expected, like a mini-PPV, and worked out very well. The crowd reacted very well for guys like Adam Cole, Ospreay and Joe, while MJF and Moxley received an incredible heat. Some mexicans received a great reaction, specially the CMLL ones, but others didn't, like Hologram and Beast Mortos, probably because they're AAA guys. Mistico was the star of the night like always, amazing entrance and performance by the living legend."

I enjoy AEW a lot so I was very much looking forward to this show since it was announced and it definitely delivered and had a very good combination of standard quality AEW TV matches and some emotional elements of traditional cmll lucha libre and more modern high flying lucha. This wasn't going to be a standard aew show (or cmll show) but it worked well. The crowd combined with the acoustics was insane even for an Arena Mexico show. The Mistico entrance was amazing, grown adults on the verge of tears with emotion despite many of them having probably watch Mistico in person many times. Weakest matches were Okada/Briscoe & Mone/Zeuxis which is saying a lot cause they were still good, everything else was fun or elevated by the crowd from being good tv matches to really good."

The presentation to the aesthetics to the AMAZING crowd , this just felt celebratory and giddy. Mistico's entrance was truly an experience just on TV, can't imagine what that was like in person, hopefully it does lead to a Mistico vs MJF hair vs makes match at All In. The action ranged from solid to great with Ospreay as predicted coming off as the biggest star in the main event. Hangman come off great and loved that he both started and ended the show, a shame we didn't get to see Kenny. Mercedes was great too and Toni came off as big time. Just overall good vibes"

Loved seeing how excited the AEW wrestlers were to be in such a legendary arena, and they showed out in a big way. The main event was my favourite match of the night despite moxley picking up the win. I really hope this is the first of many shows AEW does at Arena Mexico. Another highlight for me was the 4 way match, high octane offense for the entire time. Great show tonight"

[7.0] "I think AEW's been a reaaaaally consistent product this year, so even shows that otherwise woulda no doubt been super good end up feeling a bit underwhelming just cause they gotta live up to a really high standard that's set by the rest of the shows. Show felt a biiit weird with how there was barely anything other than matches, but the matches themselves were all really top notch, with the standouts being the opener and the Mistico/MJF one (What a freaking Mistico entrance too... Really hope the thing with the mask stealing means they're gonna continue the storyline, maybe all the way up to All In.) Only match that outright disappointed me was Okada/Briscoe cause I was really pulling for a standout Okada performance to celebrate being back in Mexico but that just did not happen. Barely felt like it even started at all. Hangman's promo that opened the show was amazing stuff too, and that's saying something since I needed some help actually understanding what he was saying, but man the vibes were THERE. By the end of the night I was getting real tired so didn't really absorb most of the match itself, but the closing segment with the Moxley/Hanger confrontation was absolute peak stuff too, especially with the big camera shot we got of Hanger staring down Mox in the ring from the very top of the ramp. All in all, as long as you skip Briscoe/Okada then this show's definitely worth a watch despite not really being as ridiculously good as previous weeks."

[9.0] "This was a lovely show with incredible atmosphere and vibes, a brilliant main event, some excellent matches in the middle and some big big pops throughout the night. Mistico's entrance, Hangman speaking in Spanish, Toni suplexing Mercedes so hard that all her belts went flying, Briscoe biting the finger getting no-sold at first by Okada because of his lack of front teeth, Mistico summoning the power of the crowd to break the out-of-ring count, Hologram being Hologram, Shibata kicking the hell of Yuta in the main event, the general reception to Ospreay and Samoa Joe, the all timer TV heel performance from Mox who's getting better every week as the dominant but vulnerable champion, so many great moments to savour and remember."
