[5.0] "This night had two of the better matches of the whole tournament, but they were still nothing truly must-see, and the other 2 block matches weren't remotely interesting, so this still ended up as a mediocre G1 show at best. ELP vs O-Khan was forgettable. O-Khan's offence remains either too gimmicky and goofy or too lethargic, but at least ELP's aerial stunts remained good and he sold sympathetically. Eventually the match just became very generic 50/50 rapid trades and 'fighting spirit' spots. Moloney vs Narita wasn't terrible but it definitely wasn't good, as Narita just went for his generic brawl work and overdone H.o.T shenanigans the entire time, while Moloney just got very generic comebacks that never had proper intensity or explosiveness. Shingo vs Shota went a bit too long but was still pretty good. They did well building the match up with the story of Shota targeting Shingo's leg, and then the final 1/3rd had all the usual 50/50 rapid trades and fighting-spirit spots but at least they were all quite intense and some of their set-ups were even a bit more creative than usual. Special props to Shingo for his really good and consistent leg-selling. Shota still doesn't resemble a star but he's definitely still making notable improvements. Sabre vs Takeshita was surprisingly pretty good, as Sabre kept Takeshita in line and forced them to work a good grappler-vs-athletic-powerhouse match instead of a more generic bombfest. Although Takeshita's long-term limb-selling sucked, Sabre's limb-targeting itself was very good, and I really enjoyed the focus of Sabre's flash pins and submissions being countered by Takeshita's power moves and big strikes. Takeshita's offence still wasn't the best it was still good and they had mostly good chemistry together. Even the botches at the end actually elevated the final submission sequence because of how realistic it all felt. Ratings: ELP vs O-Khan **1/2. Moloney vs Narita **1/4. Shota vs Shingo ***1/4 - ***1/2. Sabre vs Takeshita ***1/4 - ***1/2"

[8.0] "Yeah all round a pretty good night for block action with a banger main event. A surprisingly good semi main and two other matches that were watchable even the H.o, T match was watchable and did not make me want to rip out my eyes so yeah a pretty good night"

[8.0] "Yet again, The B Block is crushing the A Block as far as overall show rating is concerned. The loss of Gabe Kidd (bad news) is allowing for the remaining 4 matches to have more time and they pulling off banger after banger (good news)"

[8.0] "Really enjoyable show with no bad performances. GOK/ELP was better than i expected and Drilla/Narita was a good HoT interference match, I expected Takagi/Shota to be good, and i expected Shingo to deliver, but Shota surprised me once again and continues to keep up the good work. The main event was an undisputed top3 match of the tournament so far in my opinion, as it had everything a wrestling fan could want, great technical wrestling, big power moves, hard hitting strikes and a story that leaves off the impression that Takeshita's story with Zack is far from over. Highly recommend this show."

[8.0] "Block B is probably the savior of this year's G1, even if Gabe is out of it. O-Khan vs ELP (****): Honestly this was really fun. The best brawling I've seen from O-Khan, ELP was always good with his high flying spots and the story of ELP's back being the target of O-Khan was nicely told. Moloney vs Narita (***.75): This was also fun. Moloney got the crowd behind him and it was really fun. Narita did some good heel work and these guys had an entertaining match with Moloney getting the surprise victory. Shingo vs Umino (****.5): This was great. The back and forth was awesome (although Shingo was undoubtedly the stand out in the match), Umino looked alright but he never really looks super good anyways. They meshed well, probably the best match they've had together. ZSJ vs Takeshita (*****) Holy fuck. This was amazing. Highly recommend this match."
