[6.0] "Best night of the first few 2025 G1 shows thus far, as we finally get a night with no bad matches and even 2 properly good ones. Still not a great show but at least a decent one. Newman and Oiwa had decent intensity and a nice leg-targeting story but not the best chemistry or most creative structure. Oiwa definitely had the cleaner and more impressive offence. Tanahashi was barely mobile once again, but Boltin impressed me by just how convincingly he carried the match (literally carrying Tanahashi) with some unique strength-displays plus some good bumping. Evil and Sanada did the usual "heel stablemates try to out-brawl and out-shenanigan each other" G1 story. Silly but admittedly pretty amusing. Taichi vs Finlay was intense and explosive, with Finlay playing a good bully heel and Taichi a strong sympathetic and fiery babyface, resulting in exciting interactions the all way. Yet another strong performance from Taichi. Tsuji vs Uemura had the issue of an arm-targeting story that wasn't properly explored, but it otherwise featured strong real-time selling and really good offence from both guys, with it being quite exciting seeing Uemura desperately struggle to try get the win and come painfully close but ultimately have the win snatched away. Ratings: Newman vs Oiwa **3/4. Tanahashi vs Boltin **3/4. Sanada vs Evil **1/2. Taichi vs Finlay ***1/4 - ***1/2. Tsuji vs Uemura ***1/2"

[7.0] "Pretty Good Tag 3 of G1 Climax 35, the last three G1 Matches were definitely memorable wasn't expecting Sanada vs. Evil to get high praise from me yet I still enjoyed it."

[6.0] "Half of this is undercard tags, then some okay matches, and then the final two matches which were both pretty good. Sanada vs Evil was completely stupid but I did find it kind of entertaining. This version of Sanada is continuing to grow on me to the point that I'm even looking forward to seeing whatever ridiculous outfit he'll wear to the ring next. The G1 sorely missed Taichi last year and he's shown why by already establishing himself as the man of the tournament. I hope he can keep it up."

[6.0] "Solid event. The last three matches were pretty good but the matches before them were pretty average."

[8.0] "I will say i only watched the Block matches and they were all of a decent standard Newman/Oiwa and Boltin/Tanahashi were both solid matches that did not overstay there welcome. The H.o.T match yes was bad but had some funny stuff and was short enough to not he shit. Then the double main event was bloody excellent producing two of the best matches of the tournament so far. So overall a pretty good night in Block A"

[7.0] "I think the best day of action since the beginning of the G1 Climax. I felt like watching a double main event since the last two matches were very very good. The House of Torture still have the worst matches of the tournament and by far but hey, that's was the best match they had since the beginning so... Yeah a not so bad night with two recommendable matches for this show."

[8.0] "Night three was definitely better than the first two nights. I think it's more like a 7.5 than an 8, but I'll round up since I rated the first two nights 7s. Only unfortunate thing is no Gabe Kidd. Tsuji/Uemura was very enjoyable."

[7.0] "Very solid card for this night of the G1 as the tournament continues going strong. Plenty of bangers in the main event but the other G1 matches had something special as well, Oiwa v Newman was a tad mid but Boltin v Tanahashi was a powerful match with some heavy-hitting moves, Sanada v Evil was a goofy cheatfest that was suprisingly enjoyable for an HOT match, Taichi v Finlay was great while Tsuji v Uemura was a fantastic bout that deserves to be watched as a symbol of the future the company seems to be moving towards."

[9.0] "First real signs of life from New Japan since probably the New Beginning in Osaka. I don't think I've enjoyed a card from top to bottom like this since then. Strong Sendai crowd really helped, even the undercard tags were mostly fun (especially the TMDK one with the Murashima/Jackson finishing stretch). All the G1 matches delivered in their own ways - Callum & Oiwa was solid with both guys obviously holding some things back for a future featured match, Tanahashi is somehow still keeping up despite being completely washed, EVIL & SANADA put on a clinic heel vs heel stooge comedy match and the top two matches are definitely the matches of the tournament so far. Great to see a show like this amongst the doom and gloom that people are projecting with New Japan."

[9.0] "The most watchable show of the year thus far. Nothing bad. No weaknesses, and some *really* fucking great matches on it. Like, shit, even the undercard matches were good. You know how rare that is? Miraculous show. The G1 is back, baby. New Japan Pro Wrestling is fucking back."

[7.0] "I felt like every G1 match was bare minimum rated good. There are some people who are going to hate every House of Torture match, and I understand that, but this one in particular was more of comedy match than a frustrating slog of run-ins which I can appreciate. The other 4 were all good, worth watching."

[7.0] "This was a decent show. EVIL vs SANADA sucked, but the other matches were alright-great. Oiwa vs Newman (***.5): Nice little sprint of a match with some good strikes but they held back and could've had a better match given the right amount of time. Boltin vs Tanahashi (***.75): This was a fun match. Tana looked alright, Boltin looked like a beast. This was a very fun back and forth match, and was much better then their match last year. SANADA vs EVIL (*): Only gave this one star because it was at least a little entertaining. Other then that, it was absolute dog shit, to the surprise of no one. Taichi vs Finlay (****.75): Holy mother of Jesus this was fucking awesome. I loved their match at Power Struggle, and this was just as good. I need a rubber match between these guys ASAP. Tsuji vs Yuya (****.5): This was undoubtedly their best match together. It felt urgent for one of these guys to get a win, and that's something I've noticed hasn't been shown in some of the matches as of late. Great main event, finish felt desperate, and that's why I loved it."
