[3.0] "Another filler-heavy Nitro with irrelevant matches, Sid run-ins, and poor booking. Luchadors saved the in-ring action, and the Luger/Sting angle had potential. A confusing battle royal and weak main event made it worse."

[2.0] "This was so bad, a Fall Brawl go home featuring one booked match really, and so many irrelevant/lifeless matches, Benoit and Malenko get their momentum halted and a Luger heel turn it seems to end the show."

[3.0] "This was a show that didn't have Raw against it as it was preempted, and it failed miserably as this was yet another show full of bad wrestling, Sid run ins, and filler. Sid interrupted Horowitz/Greene and then Benoit/Malenko. Ugh..."

[2.0] "Once again the luchadors are the only thing stopping this from being a complete dud of a show as far as in ring action goes. I'll give one extra point because I kind of liked the Luger/Sting drama, even if it's a rehash of 1995 (with a stupider twist coming at the PPV). What else? Lodi and Lenny are gay baiting, Sid is interrupting multiple matches, fans are just looking at the entrance instead of watching matches, weird battle royal stipulations, Bagwell gets a push, First Family gets way too much time, main event is complete weak sauce."

[4.0] "We covered this episode for UTTpodcasts so listen there for full thoughts. Be careful watching on the Network the Lex Luger heel turn is in the last few seconds of the show when it's trying to get you to roll to the next episode. The "12" man battle royal (with only 11 people taking part) with the final 8 facing off in matches, of which the final 2 are in a number one contender match is needlessly confusing. The cage is too small to contain the 5 people in the main event, literally."
