[8.0] "Very nice Best of the Super Juniors show. It was my first time watching NJPW TV. Kevin Knight is on commentary later in the show & he makes it very enjoyable to watch. I really would love to hear more of his commentary & it started my fandom for him as a wrestler. Entertaining matches to watch. I really like the venue, looks pretty nice to watch wrestling."

[8.0] "It was a good enough event. The best matches was Akira vs Fujita and El Desperado vs Titan and both was very good.Takahashi vs Kushida was good enough but of course they can give better matches. All the others matches wasn't special but i find them good.It was surprise for me also that both members of HoT lost their matches."

[6.0] "Finally I started seeing BOSJ after a month and this was a good way to kick it out. The MOTN was Fujita vs Akira but also the main-event wasn't short of great. Booking two HoT matches back to back is never a great idea though and this was no exception. ***1/4"

Nick Wayne vs. SHO and Dragon Dia vs. Kanemaru were alright I do prefer Dia vs. Kanemaru as it felt like the pacing was better and some moments were memorable like Dia almost eating shit on that Asai moonsault. Akira vs. Fujita was incredible, two future stars going head to head in a very aggressive manner which I liked. Kushida vs. Takahashi worked well and make sense with their catalog of matches. Desperado vs. Titan ending the event off on a good note, very impressed with Titan everything about him was great."

[7.0] "Solid night of action. The 5 block matches were decent-good. Wayne vs SHO (***): Solid match that was surprisingly better then I anticipated with some good arm work. Dia vs Kanemaru (**.75): Decent match. Dia forgot to sell the knee at points but it was overall a solid enough match. Fujita vs Akira (****.25): Loved this match. Should've went a little longer but it was still really good for what it had and I desperately want to see these guys face off again. Hiromu vs Kushida (***.75): This wasn't as good as previous matches in their rivalry, but still pretty good. Despe vs Titan (****.25): Good main event. These guys always deliver and this was no exception."

[6.0] "An alright night 1 of the tournament with a couple of surprise wins in play here and a couple of decent matches the undercard was alright and the majority of tournament matches were okay. Robbie X & Taiji Ishimori vs Katsuya Murashima & Ninja Mack: A decent level of high flying offense as a warm up for the BOSJ tournament to get underway, an okay opener but served it's purpose of being the opening match and a preview for Mack vs X [**]. Kevin Knight, Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi vs MAO, Shoma Kato & Tiger Mask: Good to see Kato back after last competing in January of this year, the match was fine as an undercard multi man match, nothing special happened [**1/4]. Toru Yano & YOH vs Hartley Jackson & Robbie Eagles: Not a bad match, but skippable, while we may have viewed a slight preview for Eagles vs YOH, it was average at best [**]. Nick Wayne vs SHO: SHO may have typical HoT tactics a couple of times, Wayne getting the win here was surprising to see, the match was fine but could have been better as these two are capable of delivering better matches [**3/4]. Dragon Dia vs Yoshinobu Kanemaru: Kanemaru tried to overcome the offense of Dia by targeting the leg and knee of Dia, the match was okay a bit better than I expected [**3/4]. Kosei Fujita vs Francesco Akira: Was we expecting this to be on Night 1 probably not but it did deliver, these two have great chemistry and it showed here with a solid back and forth match with Fujita getting a decent win [***3/4]. Hiromu Takahashi vs KUSHIDA: While this may have been a bit enjoyable, this was disappointing effort from both of these, not their best match compared to previous encounters they have had, Hiromu winning was not a surprise [***]. El Desperado vs Titan: Best B Block match of the show, they have great chemistry and Despy tried to submit Titan until he finally submitted which was interesting but also leaves room for another match down the road [***1/2]"

I enjoyed all matches in this night, and as a person who doesn't really watch that much jr matches these days im really excited for the rest of the matches"
