[4.0] "The June 21st, 1999 episode of WCW Monday Nitro had some potential but managed to fall flat on it's face. Eddie Guerrero's return match, Good cruiserweight opener, A tag title bout and Sid Vicious having his first in-ring match since his return! All things considered this could have been good but man what a let down. We had some dang good matches and then we had some really terrible matches like Meng vs. Lane, Cat vs. Iaukea, Bagwell & Malenko vs. The Presidents of WCW and the Main Event (as expected). I'm not even surprised anymore with this. WCW has become a repeated cycle of misfires and let downs. The only storyline I'm still interested in is with The No Limit Soldiers vs. The West Texas Rednecks. Just a lot of uninteresting stories that have been mishandled or flat-out garbage. The mishandling of Sid Vicious has to be studied. He's been back for TWO WEEKS and his first match doesn't happen and his second match ends via DQ on a random Nitro? You could have built up for his return match at a PPV but no gotta pop a TV rating cause RAW is kicking our butts! The streak continues...8 weeks without ONE good Nitro! [**]"

[4.0] "There was some decent action here, such as the tag title match, Eddie/Juvy, Booker/Kanyon, and Kidman/Psychosis outside of the ending, but it was still a pretty poor show because of the bad storylines and every good match was followed by a weak match."

[4.0] "A mildly better episode of Nitro than previous weeks, though that isn't saying much. Eddie vs. Juvi, Booker vs. Kanyon, and the tag title match were all very fun, so that's good. On the other hand the horrid Cat push continues, Lenny and Lodi are soon to be gay for each other, all the Bagwell stuff is seriously dire and just goes on forever and ever, and last but not least the main event is trash. The show ends with Sting doing DX catchphrases because Sting is and always has been a dopey hack."
