[6.0] "Mostly of standard quality with few real standout matches. The most notable course of events involved the semi-finals and finals of the International Title leading to Steve Maclin claiming the new belt. Those matches were fine and Maclin is a strong choice for inaugural champ to establish the new title. Let's just hope this belt ultimately fares better than the likes of the Legends/Global/Television/KotM, Grand and Digital Media titles. Warner vs. Callihan was, at least if you're into that kind of thing, the most interesting match, with some truly gnarly spots (Callihan, though, looks rather unwell these days). Overall a decent enough watch that mostly felt like a TV show rather than even the B-level PPV that it was."

[7.0] "This event worked successfully in many ways; one, it was a fun heat-up show ahead of Rebellion. Two, it gave the platform to pay a cool homage to the masterpiece three-way back in 2005, and three, it was a fantastic podium for Chris Bey to come back and share a slice of his journey in becoming better. That angle single-handedly became one of the highly talked-about points throughout 'Mania week, and a huge shout-out to TNA for letting that happen. The main purpose of this event was to crown a new rechristened mid-card champion, and Maclin feels like a second choice in my eyes, even though he'll prove wrong once again. Otherwise, the Barbed Wire Massacre was cringeworthy in a good way, making it one of the best hardcore matches in recent times. 7.5 out of 10 points!"

[6.0] "Steve Maclin as first champion was the right choice given the participants. There are 3 new signings of 'international wrestlers' expected to arrive for Rebellion, probably to give credit to the title because with a tournament full of Americans and a Canadian we're not going to get far otherwise."

"I shit you not, my stupid ass mistook "Unbreakable" with "Rebellion", so you can imagine my surprise when I found out that there was no Santana vs Mustafa Ali and no Triple Threat for the TNA World Championship on the card - for a moment, I thought I downloaded a PPV from a parallel universe or something. Nonetheless, another two matches I was also interested in fortunatley did take place that night (so my evening wasn't completely ruined). Of course, I'm talking about the last two matches of the night: the Barbed Wire Massacre Match and the finals of the tournament for the new International championship. And if the main event was rather forgettable, the Sami Callihan vs Mance Warner match will live in my head rent-free for years to come. It's one of the craziest hardcore matches I've ever seen. I was legitimately worried for the Southern Psycho, and you could see in his girlfriend Steph De Lander's eyes that she was genuinely concerned too for the well-being of her future husband. The spot with the tongue being stapled to the door alone elevates the fight to the echelon of instant classics. As for the main event, I remember only two things: the crowd chanting "This is boring" (I mean, good luck following that massacre, but for me it worked pretty well - I was really into the good old classic wrestling match after that bloody mess) and how hideous the blue strap looked (maybe it will grow on me, idk - let's not forget how the fans rejected the red Universal Championship belt when it was first introduced, but before you knew it, people got used to it). Only when Chris Bey walked out to give his inspiring speech, I realized that the entire PPV was dedicated to him (thus the name "Unbreakable" and heels rocking Chris Bey merch (Moose, for example))."

[6.0] "Eric Young vs JDC vs Zachary Wentz: Wentz was the MVP of the match even in defeat, Young winning made sense considering his history in TNA, JDC was just there to make it a three way as he was just fine at best [**1/2]. Steve Maclin vs Ace Austin vs Eddie Edwards: Just like the opening three way match it was just fine, Alisha Edwards getting involved should not have happened, Maclin advancing to the final was the right call [**1/2]. Moose vs Sidney Akeem: Alisha Edwards getting involved in a match featuring The System AGAIN during Unbreakable was not good but did lead to her getting ejected from ringside, Moose using a low blow towards the end was not good, the match overall was fine and could have a better match down the road if given the chance [**1/4]. Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy & Mike Santana vs Mustafa Ali, Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth: A crowd pleasing preview match for the upcoming Rebellion between Hardys vs Nic and Ryan Nemeth and also Ali vs Santana, watchable but probably better as a TV main event rather than on PPV [***]. Joe Hendry & Masha Slamovich vs Frankie Kazarian & Tessa Blanchard: This was to preview Hendry vs Kazarian and Slamovich vs Blanchard ahead of Rebellion, it was a solid preview match, with the ending stretch being an ideal way to end the match with the miscommunication for Kazarian and Blanchard and Hendry pinning Kazarian which gained Hendry more momentum heading into his title defense [***]. Sami Callihan vs Mance Warner: MOTN definitely, what a brutal match these two had within the confines of the barbed wire massacre match, the tongue stapled, lemon juice on the wound and the salt on the wounds spots were gruesome, some cool but brutal spots and I really enjoyed it [****1/4]. Steve Maclin vs AJ Francis vs Eric Young: Maclin winning the title was an interesting choice, just glad it was not Francis, the three had an interesting match but could have been longer time wise and it would have been better [***1/4]"

[4.0] "There was nothing bad in this show, but it wasn't really a PPV level card either. It felt like it could have been an episode of the weekly show, really. The six man tag and barbed wire massacre were the standouts. Unfortunately the main event looked like a joke because people were visibly leaving the show, and there were lots of empty seats facing the hard cam. It also doesn't help that they didn't pick the most exciting competitors for the match either."

[9.0] "Very good show. Akin to a good Clash of the Champions before a WCW ppv with good wrestling but more importantly setting up matches for Rebellion in less than 2 weeks. The only knock is the International title match--a good match on it's own merit--coming behind the violent spectacle of Barbed Wire Massacre."

[7.0] "The match order didn't do this show any favors, in my opinion, but I still had fun. The Hardys, Hendry and bloody brawls do that for me these days. It's been really neat to see the promotion pick up steam these past two years. The crowds and their appreciation for the top acts have made this company fun again."

[7.0] "Solid card top to bottom. Not a bad match all night. Santana and the Hardys vs. Ali and the Nemeths is the best contest of the night. The Barbed Wire Massacre was brutal and did not let me down considering the 2 maniacs involved. Maclin deserved that title win. A good TNA show for sure!"
