"Show felt a bit lame overall. The reduced number of matches did not help. Thanks a lot to the fans who made the show memorable, but the in-ring action was nothing more than the usual. The Roman Reigns match was good and I would say it was my favorite of the night."
[7.0] "Ok, so on rewatch this is actually far better than I remember it being. There are obviously parts to this that I hated. Becky vs Nikki is with out a doubt, a contender for the worst match of the year. The Roman Bronson match was good but did the post match angle really need to go that long? Hmm. The tag match did sort of just feel there but it wasn't bad. The main event has the same repetitive WWE booking, but honestly I've been used to it by now and the match was good so I won't be too harsh on it. The show peaked during the 4th and 5th match, which I really liked both. It's obviously a step down from the previous PLE we saw in France but this was still good for what it was. I honestly thought this over delivered a bit."

Sheamus and Rusev were pretty awesome, Cena vs Paul was really uninspiring, and the main event was broadly okay; the rest of the show kinda blurred into one. Fairly average beginning but a better end. Hoping WWE can pick it up over the next couple of months."

[7.0] "This was one of my favorite WWE events of the year. I really enjoyed five out of the six matches, and I'm grateful that there are six matches for each Premium Live Event (PLE) now. With four matches lasting over twenty minutes, the pacing felt just right, giving us a total of two hours of wrestling. I appreciated the crowd and the matches at this event. Despite some negative feedback on social media regarding the match card, I think this event exceeded expectations and stands out as one of WWE's best PLEs of 2025. As this was the last PLE for the Main Roster on Peacock, we are now entering a new era with PLEs moving to ESPN for the foreseeable future."

[5.0] "Underwhelming overall despite the crowd. Weird pacing and bizarre match choices in the case of Cena Logan and Becky Nikki. Honestly loved the glacial pacing of the first match/angle. Rusev v Sheamus was fantastic and a strong argument for why those two should be driving the midcard with meat fests. The crowd turning on Nikki was very unfortunate, but the match itself was quite rough. Logan vs Cena just feels like a wasted opportunity and Logan's highly choreographed matches do very little for me. The other matches were quite forgettable."

DanTalksRasslin wrote on 28.09.2025:
[6.0] "The Sheamus vs Rusev donnybrook match was a very enjoyable bout of the "big meaty men slapping meat" variety and easily the best this show had to offer. Main event four-way and Reigns vs Reed in the opener were both decent-to-good. Cena vs Paul went at least ten minutes too long and by the end devolved into finisher-fu with little flow or selling, and Becky tried but was only able to get a passable match out of the recently-returned Nikki Bella. Very uneven show with only one must-see match and a couple of solid ones."

[8.0] "I'd say it's one of WWE's best shows of the year, but mainly because of the huge crowd participation, which was engaged throughout. Roman and Reed had a fairly ordinary start, but it was entertaining, a decent match to kick off a show. My problem was how long and tiresome the post-match was; I felt it took up unnecessary minutes in almost an hour, which was excessive in my opinion. Then came two matches that I felt were uninteresting: the first, the Tag Team Championship match, which lacked a touch of spice to end properly; and the second, Nikki vs. Becky, was by far the worst of the night, with many mistakes between the two and a noticeable slowness from one of the participants. Here comes the best match of the night and of the month: Rusev vs. Sheamus was an instant classic and could be considered one of WWE's best matches of the year. A match with several spots, physicality, and great chemistry between both participants. This may sound unpopular, but I didn't enjoy the last two matches. Cena vs. Logan started well, but I felt like it waned due to how repetitive it was in the final minutes. The best part was the French crowd, which was incredible throughout the match. Finally, the main event was average with an ending I didn't like. I was expecting another outcome with Rollins, but I appreciate a lot of the spots that occurred in between the match. It was a great show and one of WWE's best, but the company fails in minor ways, which leaves me with little motivation to follow the product. 8/10."

[9.0] "Street Profits Vs Wyatt Sicks was just merely decent, Becky Vs Nikki was flat out bad, the booking was predictable, and the show went a bit too long with its runtime, but Roman Vs Reed was good, the WWE World Heavyweight Title fatal four way was great, Cena Vs Logan was fantastic, Sheamus Vs Rusev Good'Ol Fashioned Donnybrook was absolutely brilliant, and the French crowd was electric as always. Overall WWE Clash In Paris although not as brilliant as their last French PLE, WWE Backlash (2024), it's still a great show with enough amazing action, and an electric crowd."

If I was a Parisian I'd be miserable (because they're always miserable) and pissed at the amount of money I wasted to attend this. Really dope stage tho."

[8.0] "This was a really good PLE overall! Opener kicked off things nicely, nothing special but entertaining. Then we hit a bit of a slump with the tag team and women's matches unfortunately which I felt were really mediocre. Thankfully things for right back in track with an absolutely killer match between Rusev and Sheamus. This one was extremely memorable, Sheamus particularly I feel really delivered here, easily a 9/10 match. Cena vs. Paul was awesome also. Paul is an undeniable talent and Cena is still so good even in his retirement run, I give this one 8.5/10. The main event was incredible, just really good stuff from the best in the roster right now and an engaging storyline. Overall really good PLE and the French crowd is always great and super enthusiastic, it's definitely worth watching this one :)"

Becks v Bella fell a little flat, but the opening and closing matches served as great brawls that created a fun storyline of Seth being alone tonight; meanwhile Rusev v Sheamus and Paul v John elevated this show from good to memorable. The French audience has created an echo effect with creative where due to their incredible responses they get incredible matches."
Tom LeBlanc wrote on 10.09.2025:
[6.0] "Clash in Paris didn't delivered imo. The French crowd was absolutely electric, lifting every match and creating an incredible atmosphere, but WWE let them down, leaning too heavily on star power than quality. Rusev vs. Sheamus and Cena vs. Logan Paul were the undeniable highlights. Most of the rest, Bronson vs. Reigns, the tag match, and Becky vs. Nikki, felt slow, predictable, or sloppy. The main event was competent but overly formulaic, with Becky's interference feeling underwhelming. A show carried more by fans than booking."

Its just another forgettable show. 4/10 on a side note the stage look amazing."

However, looking back, it's a real shame that WWE kept certain matches for Wrestlepalooza, such as Vaquer's match, which was originally planned for Paris, especially for a crowd like that. In short, it was still a solid PLE with some enjoyable matches."

First off, the Eiffel Tower stage was such an awesome surprise and it gave the whole show a unique look, and honestly, that's something every PLE should have. The French crowd was on fire once again from start to finish, though by the end you could tell that 4 hours is maybe a bit too long to keep the same level of hype. Big shame that Styles/Dom didn't make the card, because we could've had a historic moment with 30 000 people chanting "il est vraiment phénoménal". I loved the Cena/Paul match and I feel honored to have witnessed one of the GOAT's last matches before retirement. If I had to point out a weak spot, the middle of the card could've been better in my opinion, especially Lynch/Bella which wasn't good. An honorable mention to the Sheamus/Rusev match, which got a great reaction from the crowd and was fun to watch. Overall, it was a really good show with an incredible atmosphere but it just needed that extra something to be truly perfect."

The match of the night for me was Cena vs. Paul (and that's a sentence I didn't think I would say two years ago). The "five moves of doom" Cena having to put out alot of extra moves, it felt like one of the better Cena matches in recent years. Sheamus vs. Rusev was also very good. My only low point sadly was the womens match and the tag titles. I'm gonna bump this up a little for being in the crowd and experiencing this live in person."

Rusev & Sheamus steal the show as expected, and Cena vs Logan & the Fatal Four-Way are pretty good too. The whole first hour drags but has some good content in it. I have mixed opinions on Bronson vs Reigns but, again, it's pretty good. Overall a fine show, but not anything more. Has some good angles too, in Roman being written off and Becky joining The Vision."

The Rusev match was worth the watch, as was Cena/Logan Paul, but you're not missing out on anything special if you don't watch this."

I don't care what people say about the Logan vs. Cena match; it genuinely made me feel something I haven't felt in a long time. Truly one of the best matches in the last five years , a 9/10 PLE for sure"
Billaowski wrote on 04.09.2025:
[6.0] "I watched this PLE in person with friends and we ended up talking through most of this which should give you an idea of not how bad necessarily but how missable it all was. Opening with Bronson/Roman to nod the crowd off to sleep and then two rough showings from Profits/Sicks and Bella/Lynch and even a very hot Parisian crowd had the stuffing knocked out of them. Fortunately Sheamus/Rusev and Cena/Logan were much better but the main event was competent but a bit of a letdown. Rollins and his Missus are boring and Jey needs to be depushed sooner rather than later. If you watch one match make it the Donnybrook but otherwise you're not missing much."

[4.0] ""I don't know, Lloyd. The French as assholes" -Harry Dunn, 1994. I was rewatching UFC fights recently and one of them was Aldo vs. Mendes 2 in Brazil. The crowd was singing quite a bit. It happens in England and Ireland too. It doesn't detract from the fights because the fights aren't obligated to stop every time and look around with a vacant look on their face. It's not the crowd culture in Europe, it's the wrestling culture in Europe. You're taught in wrestling school to involve the crowd but I was NEVER taught to enable them. There comes a point when it's clear the crowd is in it for themselves and couldn't give a fuck about what's happening in the ring. This isn't as bad as Backlash 24 but I'll never watch another PLE or show from Paris again. I know, I won't be missed either and I also know it's not an airport, etc."

[5.0] "What a let down, last year with Backlash, they had an all timer crowd that were hot for the whole show, even if most of the matches were average, but the main event was excellent. This year, the crowd mostly went crazy for the big stars, which they lacked last time, but you could still sense the fans weren't 100% into the matches despite some big chants and reactions, because it was mid. The highlights of the show was the Roman Reigns and especially the Cena entrances, legendary pop, crowd went ape shit even during the Cena match. Sheamus vs Rusev was by far MOTN, still a pretty classic WWE "extreme" style match, Sheamus is one of their best performer, Rusev's aura is so negative that even a french crowd didn't make a single noise during his entrance... Every other matches weren't worthy of a big stadium wrestling event, Reigns vs Bronson was mostly boring, at least it presented Bron Breakker as a beast after the match. Tag team match was forgettable. Of all the great talent they have on the roster, they decided the only women's match would be Becky Lynch vs ...... Nikki Bella... Well obviously even a heel Becky got all the fans cheers and the match was terrible. John Cena did his best but the youtuber guy absolutely sucks as his moves don't have any impact and the only good thing that can be said about him is his natural heat, because he's a piece of shit irl. To think we could have had a fantastic John Cena vs AJ Styles instead... The 4 way main event was just lazy stuff with a bullshit finish. The fans that paid a fortune to go in this big Paris event in La Defense got scammed, they relied too much on their big names doing house show performances."

[6.0] "Ordinary mid WWE PPV, with a terrible match beetween Becky and Nikki and a great Sheamus vs Rusev, with everything else being pretty average. The opener had a lot of dead time, but the crowd was really into it. It wasn't bad but I definetely didn't love it, a 20 minutes match should speed up in some moment and this didn't. The tag match was your ordinary weekly match with each team doing their usual offense and nothing else, but with tensions beetween the SP. The IC match, as I said, horrible. It was like those videos of "wrestling is fake! " in which somebody put the tombstone and the five knuckle shuffle in slow mo so it's obvious it doesn't make contact, only that this was in normal speed and not a specific moment but the whole match. Bad, a crazy step back for the IC title after the Lyra rivalrie. The Donnybrook was great, the hard hitting big meaty guys match that you would expect and with a great spot with the white noise. Cena vs Paul was the perfect example of "moves by the sake of moves". Flashy move (not always well done), nearfall and repeat, just that during 26(! ) minutes, way too much for something so repetitive. I don't hate it and, just like with Tanahahi, I pretty much take whatever Cena can do, especially if you compare it to the horrible matches during the heel run, but I don't love it either. The main event was cool. Maybe, like the opener, too much dead time for a 20 minutes match for make it worth it, even worse since this is a 4 way, and with a surprise that wasn't a surprise at all, but I still enjoyed it somehow."

[5.0] "Honestly, I think WWE just isn't for me anymore. That PPV was awful, yet I see people giving it an average of 7? I don't get it at all. Sure, Rusev vs. Sheamus and Cena vs. Logan Paul were solid, like 7-8 range, but everything else? Total disaster. The main event why not Cena there, seriously? was horrible, but we'd already sat through worse earlier, with the absolute low point being Becky vs. Nikki. Why on earth are we giving Nikki Bella 15 minutes in 2025 when she still can't wrestle? On Raw, fine, but on a PLE? And with botches on top of that. The Wyatt Sicks make no sense, they're weak and just living off nostalgia. Are they ever going to lose those titles, or is WWE scared that dropping them would kill the whole act? The opener dragged on forever, but hey, at least Roman got his shoes back that part was gold. I don't know, maybe I've just outgrown WWE. All I see now is "Entertainment, " and even there I could complain for days. Oh, and Lesnar? What's he even doing--taking a nap?"

[6.0] "Easy to watch 4-hour show seems to be a joke, but WWE somehow managed to make it. My best match of the night is Rusev vs. Sheamu, although I find Rusev boring, and the feud was a complete disaster. My least favourite match is main event. I would never believe current Rollins could lose the World Title. That Becky's interruption was awful. WWE's taken the worst of 2019, when Rollins and Lynch united. Does it mean Lesnar will dethrone Rollins again? I don't mind Brock winning World Championship now. I don't understand The Wyatt Sicks. They frustrate me. They're not entertaining"

[4.0] "Might be my least favourite PPV of the year. Sheamus Rusev aside, this is peak lazy booking. A thrown together card that's half tv matches and half predictable big star matches that didn't deliver. Everything either ran too long, lacked interesting narratives, had very predictable winners, or all three at once (Cena/Logan being the worst offender). Becky Lynch/Nikki Bella was a complete disaster. Hot crowd, some nice PPV long storytelling involving the Vision, and a great Donnybrook match, absolutely nothing else."

[7.0] "The French are the best wrestling crowd in the world, and nothing proves otherwise (Brazilian speaking), period. The fans in the arena turned one of WWE's least inspired PLEs of the year and a very weak card into something quite entertaining to watch. In the end, I don't call this show a complete filler because of Becky's alliance with The Vision. Roman vs. Bronson: This match, like others on the card, suffered from a terribly slow pace. They should have spent less time here, and the post-match was even more convoluted, with everything here, counting entrances, matches, and post-match, taking up an a full hour of the special. Monday Night RAW's main event and final segment structure with the length of a WrestleMania main event [***1/4]. Wyatt Sicks vs. Street Profits: they need to come up with something more boring than this bum tribute that is Wyatt Sicks (and the late Bray wasn't even that interesting too), I leave here my wish for them to give Montez Ford a solo push, this guy has everything to be a star [***1/4]. Becky vs. Nikki: after the great feud between the Irish women, an IC title cools down with this very weak match between these two stars, Nikki Bella is clearly rusty [**1/4]. Rusev vs. Sheamus: as much as I don't think this match has the appeal of being in a PLE, the action here was very good and MOTN as I expected, Rusev's best match in years [****1/4]. Cena vs. Paul: Just like the opener, they spent more time than necessary. I know Cena (theoretically) will never wrestle again, but I'm not in the mood to see a 25+ minute match with him, especially against Logan Paul, who lacks the nostalgic appeal, a good storyline, or even though he's a good worker, he won't be able to carry it into something super memorable. I couldn't have imagined seeing John Cena pull off a Styles Clash in 2025 (shocked) [***3/4]. Seth vs. LA vs. Punk vs. Jey: A very competent match following the F4W formula, with the highlight being Becky Lynch joining Seth Rollins' stable, which I believe should lead to the long-awaited return of AJ Lee, thus giving new life to the never-ending Punk vs. Rollins feud (this comment may age very poorly) [***1/2]."

[6.0] "The opener between Bronson and Roman took its time to get going, but once it did this was pretty good. Roman wins back his shoes and choked out Heyman. After that, Bron and Bronson destroyed Roman (6.5/10). The Wyatt Sicks vs Street Profits for the tag team titles was decent. Just a standard back and forth that felt like it should have been on an episode of SmackDown rather than a PLE. Wyatts retain, as expected (5/10). Becky vs Nikki for the women's IC title was bad. They didn't have any chemistry. Nothing they did looked good, and there were a few bad moments to go around from the both of them. Becky retains, but her reign has taken a steep drop recently (2/10). Rusev vs Sheamus in the Donnybrook match was by far the best of the show. A hard hitting brawl with some big bumps, this was entertaining from start to finish. Rusev winning made sense, he needed it a lot more. So much fun (8.5/10). Cena vs Logan was pretty good. Not much of an actual story being told here, they basically traded a bunch of moves for over 25 minutes. The match definitely didn't need to go that long. The novelty of Cena hitting a bunch of different finishers is something, but there's no substance any of it (6.5/10). The main event fatal four way for the world title was solid. The action in this was fine, nothing that stood out. Each guy got their moments to shine. Rollins retains thanks to Becky costing Punk as she joins The Vision. The result was entirely predictable, but the finish did open up the possibility of AJ Lee returning so that's something at least (6/10). Nothing of consequence happened, this was for sure a filler show. The crowd was good. Clash in Paris gets a 6/10."

The first thing I'll talk about is the crowd because obviously they were loud and the Europe shows are always going to be praised off the back of that. I really can't get into that style of wrestling crowd, I get that they're having fun and there's a place for that, but it makes the matches feel like total irony and like nobody actually cares what's going on in the wrestling matches. I'll take a crowd getting behind a babyface sincerely over "Go match! " or "Go us! " every single time. As far as the card went, I thought Roman/Bronson was the best thing there personally, despite being a bit long and the match & following angle taking up an entire hour of show time. The tag match was fine, Becky/Nikki was quite bad and clunky, and I thought Sheamus/Rusev was a nice match but underwhelmed me. John Cena vs Logan Paul was not for me at all. The main event was fun house show-type wrestling, but nothing substantial. We'll see where the Becky thing goes joining the Heyman faction."

[8.0] "Clash In Paris = 8/10 - L'opener était trop bien, l'entrée des Wyatt Sicks c'était trop émouvant. Le match entre Becky et Nikki était le ventre mou de la soirée mais ça a été vite rattrapé par le banger entre Rusev et Sheamus. Puis après c'était le moment de l'entrée de Cena j'ai eu les larmes aux yeux vraiment. Le 4-Way les entrées c'était juste fou surtout celle de Punk. Puis le match etait bon pour conclure le PPV. C'était un show qualitatif dans le ring mais évidement le public est le réel MVP. La France est le meilleur public du monde et l'ont prouvé à nouveau."

[7.0] "Well for the card we got this PLE was surprisingly entertaining with a standout match between Rusev and Sheamus and 2 PLE worthy matches from the last 2 matches. The Street Profits and Roman matches were average, and of course, the Becky Nikki match was awful and shouldn't have happened on a PLE. A show that you should really only watch the last 3 matches for everything else is pretty skippable."

"If it wasn't for the lovely French crowd, the show would be the usual, less interesting PLE, and I get that they wanna save the Intercontinental match for Raw, so it could be watchable, and probably it's going to be the only highlight."

"5/10 - the only match that has ple quality here is sheamus vs rusev, other is sd/raw main event quality at best, what happen with sd tag division, everytime they get ple opportunity they didn't deliver, can't have a banger without tlc or something? or the wyatt sicks just simply sucks, and women's ic title match being an absolute stinker, 30k french crowd and this is what wwe give them, becky in the main event was cringe, idc about aj lee when they don't even put their best female wrestlers on the show."

[7.0] "First match Reigns vs Bronson was a pretty good opener, good crowd reaction and even if a bit slow it was nice because Bronson is able to speed up things when he wants, and Roman have a great connexion with the crowd ! Then tag team championship title where the Street Profits are against the Wyatt Sicks, an alright match, i perhaps expected more high fly stunts, but still a good match and the sicks get the win with a cheat ! After we get the Women IC title, Bella vs Lynch, Good match with nice spots and an interesting finish. We got Rusev vs Sheamus, big brute match of course, big stunts, hits, punches and drops that ended up with a victory of Rusev, good match ! Then Logan vs Cena, great moves by both men, on the second half it went faster with a lot of near fall, no one wants to give up, and with a final AA Cena wins, great match from both men. We finally get the main event. What a great promo clip, Jey vs Knight vs Punk vs Seth. So many good spots to say, The supplex, the fall into the table, the announcer table and so on, a bit disapointed by the ending but still a good match GG guys everybody had time to shine. Overall a good show with a good crowd, and nice matches."

[6.0] "This was a satisfying show. Mostly thanks to the crowd. Just imagine these crowds in Mania, literally will blow the roof off. The opening match was really good and the set up after the match was great. The tag match was a bit disappointing for me, kinda expected a better synergy between the team. Women's match sucked. Rusev/Sheamus definitely delivered. Cena/Paul overdelivered. The main event was good."
