[3.0] "On paper this actually looked good which isn't surprising. Tony Khan knows what the fans want and after a disaster show, he tried to give us a good card. Unfortunately, many things went wrong. Shibata vs Moxley was slow and way too short. Pac vs Swerve could've been good but he unfortunately got hurt which sucks considering he was my favorite part of the death riders at the time. The highlight of the show was 100% the 8 man tag. I really enjoyed that. The main event was extremely weak but Joe's promo afterwards was good. Everything else screamed meh and bad to me."
[4.0] "One of the weaker dynamite episodes of the year and that i've seen - the main event and the opening match were very underwhelming but the middle half of the show was redeemable to say the least but this was the point where the death riders were very stale"
[7.0] "Pretty good Dynamite. I may be delusional but I'm hyped again about the New Elite and the Death Riders (I'm conscious I may drastically change my opinion soon in the following weeks, tho). The opener was dissapointing and the Swerve vs PAC was unfortunately cut short because of PAC injury, let's hope he recovers quick, other than that I really liked the show, though I felt de MJF and Hurt Business a bit repetitive, repeating segments it's not something usual in AEW and I'm definetely not a fan of that, also the Learning Tree finish (or, at least, pause), could be better. I really liked the women's match, Thunder Rosa looked great in the loss and the Opps are badasses. The 8 man tag was the best part of the show, so much fun."
[4.0] "This as a show itself wasn't bad and even had a couple of very good matches but the first 30 minutes coupled with the fact that the direction is now seemingly Mox till AT LEAST All in brings it down a bunch, the Death Riders angle is one that was good as a premise but has failed many hurdles in execution that the sooner it ends the better. It's The Bloodline for an audience that doesn't care for it and also not as good. Kenny back in the Bucks' orbit is so lame and unproductive and his promo might be the worst ever. PAC's injury was unfortunate as he was the best in-ring worker in the Death Riders. Let's see where it goes but I'm not exactly thrilled with the current direction."
[6.0] "An okay episode of Dynamite. We saw a couple of good matches. I thought this Dynamite was very filler, in my opinion. But next week's show is looking like a PPV. So I'm excited about next week's show."
"1) At first, I couldn't believe that we got the living Japanese legend Shibata vs the AEW World Champion Jon Moxley on free TV as an opening match of Dynamite. Unfortunately, the match ended up to be a dud; so it wasn't so surprising that it was thrown away like that on regular programming after all. 2) I'm so upset that Pac got injured. He finally started to appear on our TVs as a single's wrestler, AEW finally started to invest their TV time into him - only for the accident to stop the Bastard's momentum. I just pray to God it's nothing serious and he will be back in a couple of weeks as healthy as ever. 3) I kinda start to dig the Hurt Syndicate and MJF bussiness (see what I did there ;) ). Finally some clear direction for the longest reigning AEW World champion and the overall dynamic between him and the three mean, buffy, bald, well-suited black men is refreshing. 4) The Learning Tree segment was the best on the show and I don't understand the hate towards Chris Jericho. He has been reliably entertaining for his entire run in AEW thanks to his notorius ability to reinvent himself time and time again."
[6.0] "The segment featuring The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland following the opening match was an enjoyable watch especially when Strickland came out and makes for intriguing viewing as we head down the road on Dynamite, The Learning Tree 'TV Time' segment went from being okay to being quite interesting when Chris Jericho started having a temper tantrum days after losing the ROH World Title and walked out which makes for potentially interesting heading down the road. Jon Moxley vs Katsuyori Shibata: What could have been an interesting clash of styles and a great match turned out to be just not that, the potential this match could have had and it did not deliver, Moxley winning was kind of obvious [*3/4]. Swerve Strickland vs PAC: A match that ended before it needed to do due to PAC and his potential injury whether it was a work or not, not much happened here but what did happen was not that memorable [*1/2]. Kevin Knight, Mark Briscoe, Mike Bailey & Will Ospreay vs Action Andretti, Lio Rush, Ricochet & The Beast Mortos: The stipulation was unique and everyone did what they needed to do, the action was just right as was the pace which made this definitely MOTN [****]. Kris Statlander vs Thunder Rosa: These two have good chemistry and they usually work well together, this match was fine but not of the quality that these two are capable of, Statlander winning was a surprise as was rooting for Rosa [**1/2]. Hook & Samoa Joe vs Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta: An okay match but the appearance from Jon Moxley was not needed, the action felt like it lacked something that it needed, did feel underwhelming [**1/2]"
[1.0] "Predictably poor show following a poor PPV. Tony Khan and the fanbase have gone full delusional mode thinking that the deathriders nonsense is actually good and generates amazing heat however in reality this shit is terrible. It's no surprise that the show opening and closing with them turns out to be such garbage and it's quite hilarious but I'm not surprised, again, that the godawful young bucks is also added to the mix. You know how dogshit their shtick is when Kenny has to resort to cheap, out of place insults in his bad promo to gain some heat in their DOA angle. I don't know how anyone watched AEW last year and thought ''You know what? Let's merge the 2 worst acts we've had who pushed away viewers into one crap angle in our main event scene. That'll create some excitement! '' It's pathetic but Tony Khan will continue to indulge in his delusions and his strongest soldiers will continue to defend this crap. It's such a shame that they were actually gaining so much momentum the past couple of months but they've pissed it away so easily. Rest of the show wasn't great either with geriatric Jericho taking up so much TV time to rehash his same old tired garbage angles and another awkward pointless segment from Hurt Syndicate who add nothing to the show. A pointless 8 man tag match for cash shows how AI random booking is a regular AEW feature nowadays. Stat vs Rosa was decent enhanced by the timeless one's commentary. Overall a really bad show."
[3.0] "just boring non sensical show start to finish. There's no direction in aew currently. But HEY atleast they can produce good pro wrestling matches! I don't know what it's gonna take at this point for tony khan and aew to wake the hell up. The start of this dynamite may possibly be the worst i've ever seen. Boring 5 minute match that you couldn't pay someone to gaf about honestly. And then more nonsensical booking with the bucks coming out and just all together a very boring nonsense promo with the bucks and kenny omega. Just overall didn't like this show"
[8.0] "Really fun show and IMO one of their better post-PPV Dynamites. The post-PPV shows are usually less eventful as they reset to build for the next PPV. This one had a good continuation of the developments from Dynasty and set up a ton of different paths they can go. The opening segment was fantastic. Bucks are awesome and their promo was strong, Kenny was Kenny - aura and funny, Swerve saving Kenny was awesome. Bunch of different ways the world title can go and I'm intrigued to see which path emerges. The 8 man was awesome, Stat and Thunder was really good wrestling, Hurt/MJF segment was good. Weakest match was poor Pac vs Swerve for obvious reasons. The Opps are great. Fun show and can't wait for Saturday."
[6.0] "[6/10] The 8 man tag was a lot of fun and the highlight of this week's episode, along with Statlander and Thunder which was also a good match. Dynamite wasn't terrible, but unfortunately there were a lot of issues with the show. AEW decided not to pivot away from the Death Riders angle on Sunday and instead went with the decision to continue it, presumably for the Blood and Guts season and to lead to it reaching its conclusion at All In. This was probably always the plan and I suspected it was what they were going for when the storyline began. The problem is, it is being continuously dunked online by fans who quite clearly are not into it. The crowd are not into it. Why is the creative team and Tony Khan being so tone death? Adding the Bucks and heel EVPS into the mix (who in their original storyline were also harshly criticised by fans) does not add intrigue. The segment itself was not good, with Omega seemingly forgetting his lines and delivering a particularly awkward promo. Swerve and PAC's match was also cut short due to PAC suffering an injury. Fans are getting frustrated and I really wish AEW would just do better. I'll also echo what someone else said about AEW overusing the term restoring the "feeling" in storylines and how they need to stop doing that. It's terrible."
[5.0] "This was the weakest episode of AEW TV since January. Too much Deathriders. Moxley squashing Shibata didn't make him look like a badass, it made him look a backstage politician. The opening promo from Moxley was everything that's wrong with the Deathriders in a microcosm - rambling bullshit about AEW not being any good and no one living up to their potential. STFU mate, it actually has been good except for your boring storyline dragging the show down. The rest of the Deathriders just standing around behind him looking moody, none of them feel as important as they did in the BCC, they're just Moxley's lackeys now. The Bucks adding to the we want to save AEW crap didn't help, just make it personal and don't mention the feeling or soul of AEW, it's a fucking wrestling company not a cult. On the plus side the 8 man tag was a lot of fun and the token women's match was decent, with Toni elevating it greatly on commentary. There's your feeling and soul right there, someone who's actually entertaining and interesting and makes me want to see more, not a bunch of emo twats whining about how the show I'm investing my time in sucks. Hope PAC's injury is not too bad."
[3.0] "Terrible opening 30 minutes that i would put up there with the worst stretch of tv aew have ever done. Everything deathriders is boring and actively damaging to the product completely ruined the main event and make you question if you even want to watch this promotion for a second longer."
[6.0] "The Good: - 8 man tag was hell of a lot of fun - Stat/Rosa was solid - Jericho is seemingly headed for a period of absence - Hangman and Nana segment; probably the non-in ring highlight of the show, very much my shit - Hurt Syndicate/MJF stuff; curious to see where it goes, but they are verging on the point of repetition with these segments. I was hopeful after Lashley & Shelton turned MJF down, but then the MVP/MJF segment afterwards was very much "so you're telling me there's still a chance? ". Also MVP telling MJF to give the consumer they want was VERY funny considering the backlash after Dynasty's ending. - They tied the main storylines together in the opening segment nicely, though I wasn't big on the content of the promos...which leads me into The Bad: - Show 2 of the Young Bucks being back and I'm already sick of them. All the talk of restoring THE FEELING, them being founders etc...the Bucks now embody what the feeling ISN'T. On that note, THE FEELING should never be mentioned again either, nobody wants to hear about how it used to be good! Make it good now without talking about it! I'm also tired of palace intrigue in this company...I don't care about where the power lies, I just want you to care about proving you're the best damn wrestler in the company/world. - Omega's promo was very corny too (as they tend to be, but this was more egregious than usual). The Omega/Bucks stuff needed to be addressed at some point after the (very good) angle last May, but this fell way short of the mark. - Mox and Shibata lasting 5 minutes; I get wanting to make your world champion look strong coming out of a PPV main event where he needed copious amounts of interference and fuckery to retain the title, but on the anniversary of Shibata's Okada match, you would think they'd make him look a bit better (especially with the Opps challenging for the Trios titles). - PAC's injury stunted what probably would have been a pretty good match. Really unfortunate, hope it's not too serious - The Jericho segment started with Big Bill FINALLY standing up for himself, only to be bitched out once again by Jericho by the end of it (look at his facial expression when Jericho was smashing the TV! ), with seemingly no resolution in sight anytime soon."
"[7.0] "Solid show - match of the night was definitely the 8-Man tag but the women's Owen Hart Tournament match was also fun, largely thanks to Toni Storm on commentary. The Death Rider/Elite storyline has potential, but the promo dragged a bit. Hopefully will develop into something interesting with Hanger and Swerve soon. Also, looks like Pac was legit injured, which is a big shame. Hope he recovers soon, it's always fun when he performs.""
[4.0] "Look the middle of the show was pretty good with the 8-Man tag being pretty good and the Owen Hart Tournament match being pretty fun with the right winner, MJF storyline with HS is fun, but opening the show with Death Riders and Elite Lore was a waste of half an hour with them and the final half hour of the show with more Death Riders BS and F#cking Chris Jericho (Jericho got TV time but Bandido the New ROH Champion wasn't anywhere on the show)"
[6.0] "I struggled to lock in on this episode. I thought the promos (Bucks & Kenny, MJF & Hurt Syndicate) were better than the matches. Favorite match of the show was the 8-man because of the best wrestler in the world Will Ospreay."
[7.0] "The weakest of the recent TV run, but that's because of the shaky opening. The opening match and subsequent promo, you could tell they were trying to do something, but I don't think they stuck the landing as well as they could have. And then Pac gets a regrettable injury in his match against Swerve; hopefully, it's just a prang and he'll be back in a few weeks. But once they got to the eight-man, they found their stride and it was much better until the end. Eight-man was one of the most fun TV matches of the past few months, and the other two matches were solid TV matches, but not much more than that. In the whole, not their best offering, but if I'm finishing the show and I'm happy with it in the round, I'm going to be complimentary to it."
[5.0] "Too much that wound me up this week. The bucks/Kenny bit was terrible, RESTORE the FEELING is back, banging on about SAVING THE COMPANY is back. Hey, it was actually real good TV for about 2 months and now we're unearthing all this pathetic rubbish. 8 man was fun and I enjoy Jericho more than most. Not sure I have much for the Opps to be honest. Feels a bit trying too hard to be cool. Mox is fine i suppose. Kinda lacklustre post ppv show. Only thing resonating now is MJF/hurt syndicate angle. Bang average."
"[6.0] A show that features several matches that are good on paper but fail to live up to the expectations set. Moxley v Shibata had potential to steal the show... if it took place a year prior. Swerve v Pac was unfortunately cut too short. The 8-man tag was the match of the night. Statlander v Thunder Rosa was simply alright, made better by Toni Storm's commentary. Finally, Opps v Death Riders was an average match that, given the talent that made it up, should've been much better than it was. The promos throughout the show were decent, but nothing I'd feel necessary to go out of the way to watch."
[5.0] "This episode was... not great. Especially after the very strong stretch that Dynamite has been on this year. Something just felt off about this episode unfortunately. Also my god was that opening stretch weird as hell, Mox basically squashing Shibata (jobbing out Shibata is insane), Kenny stumbling over his promo, PAC getting injured about 3 minutes into the match with Swerve (get well soon PAC), Hangman just not addressing the Bucks' existence even though the Bucks said they cost Swerve as a favor for Hangman. Not a great follow-up to the Dynasty main event, especially with the insanely divided reactions it got from the fans. The 8-Man tag was really fun, Stat vs Rosa was a really good sprint (probably MOTN for me although I would've given them a few more minutes), and Joe/Hook vs Claudio/Yuta was a fine main event tag. (**.75)"
[9.0] "One of those great eps that just flies by and feels perfectly paced out (with the bummer that the Swerve/PAC match had to end due to injury). All good to great TV matches, tons of the biggest stars making appearances, lots of fun build for whatever they're doing next. One of my favorite Dynamite eps in a few months."
[5.0] "Reiterating some of the points already made here: STOP saying THE FEELING. We don't wanna remember how shitty the company got. Exert some actual control over promo segments for dudes that struggle with it like Kenny. That promo was abysmal when it should've hyped up an angle that's already drowning. God that entire opening stretch was just BLEAK. Moxley is so boring in the ring and more or less awkwardly squashed Shibata, who I'm supposed to care about but actually don't. The Bucks are fine on the mic despite what people claim, but the characters are DOA right now and they've nothing to work with. And then PAC gets injured. The only segment worse than the Omega one was the Jericho one, where his over acting is ATROCIOUS. The GOOD: MJF and the Hurt Syndicate was very entertaining. The women did well and Toni was great. Don Callis slobbering over his hot young studs is fantastic. The multiman was fun and the little segments promoting them were great."
[5.0] "Some okay, some bad. The biggest fumble to me is writing off the Young Bucks shredding documents story so easily. Maybe they have something else planned but it feels like another case of the fans having to retcon the story for themselves, which will maybe result in AEW adopting the explanation. Wouldn't be the first time. People have too much faith in this company making sense at times. Right now it reminds me of one of the all-time worst resolutions to an AEW story, the kidnapping of Marko Stunt. To follow up with that "explanation" after that PPV ending is beyond words, in all honesty. The main event on this episode was one of the most delusional TV main events they've served up in a while. How could anyone possibly give a shit about anything that happened in that match? Pac's injury also brings up questions surrounding the Trios belts (and I wonder if the Hook injury angle was called to buy Pac some recovery time) and whatever else they had planned in this feud. This episode was saved by the 8-man tag, Statlander vs Rosa, the MJF/Syndicate segment, and Chris Jericho."
[4.0] "The least I have enjoyed a proper AEW weekly show in some time. The Death Riders arc continues to bore as seen with an underwhelming match that benefited nobody between Moxley and Shibata. The Omega/Bucks promo was bad. While not their fault, the PAC/Swerve match getting stopped due to injury took the wind out of that sails. The first half hour of this show was generally pretty bad. The 8-man tag and Kris/Rosa were solid matches. The main event was middling. Chris Jericho got showcased coming off of a loss to seemingly end the largely underwhelming Learning Tree storyline. The Adam Page and Swerve arc is at least interesting but it is unfortunately seemingly going to be used on the Young Bucks. Not a lot to like here."
[7.0] "I enjoyed the match between Stat & Rosa. I can see Stat winning the tournament. But the highlight for me was Penelope Ford's promo on behalf of her goddess, Megan Bayne, the Megasus!"
[7.0] "It was a good episode of Dynamite, we got to see some great encounters. We moved some storylines forward, although I'm still not convinced about the Young Bucks and Death Riders storyline - I need more. The 2 matches to remember from this episode are the very funny 4v4 and the very good match for the Owen Hart women's tournament between Statlander and Rosa."
[7.0] "Despite the PAC injury in what could have been an excellent tv match against Swerve, that's still a pretty good Dynamite. I'm still not high on the main storyline, The EVPs explanations wasn't satisfying enough to cary the world title feud, and the Kenny promo was meh. No interest at all in the Chris Jericho program, if it leads to a match against Big Bill, that's too late, he was hot last year. The best story still revolves around Swerve and Hangman. MJF/Hurt Syndicat is intriguing too. MOTN was the explosive 8 man tag, Ospreay Briscoe and Ricochet were my highlights, Cru are perfect in this kind of tag, I just don't like Beast Mortos taking the pin. Kris Statlander vs Thunder Rosa was good and Toni Storm hilarious on commentary. Very good main event too, Claudio was great and HOOK improved a lot, The Opps should be the next trio champions, hope PAC's injury is not serious. The next Collision looks great, I just hope the world title storyline would be more interesting."
[5.0] "AEW had a lot to tidy up post-Dynasty and on the lead-up to Double or Nothing and ALL IN. They were never going to sort it out in one show. Segment-heavy with hit-or-miss developments. Not sure I'm too keen for a return to the ELITE in-fighting. MJF and the Hurt Syndicate is fun to watch though. Ricochet was the stand-out in-ring performer for both his comedy and arsenal of moves."
[6.0] "A mixed bag here, lots of ups and downs. No idea why Moxley vs. Shibata was even booked. YB promo was meh. Kenny Omega's promo sucked. Pac vs. Swerve had to be cut short due to an injury. Such a shame that Pac is hurt (again), props to him to finishing the match. These were the most difficult 30 minutes that I had to sit through in my life. Like what could've went bad, went even worse. I'm sure these feud will offer us some good matches, but I ain't feeling anything. And these are some of my favourite wrestlers of all time. Likely the show picked up after this. The eight men tag was a boatload of fun. Best match of the night. Hurt Syndicate/MJF angle was hilariously good. Stat vs. Rosa was good with Toni Storm being hilarious on commentary. Jericho's segment was alright. It seems like he will be taking some time off. Opps vs. Death Riders was a solid main event. Overall: it was a solid show in the end, but, honestly, I just don't as excited as I was just one week ago before Dynasty. Having all these wrestlers that I love (Kenny, Swerve, Hanger, YB) in a feud that I don't care about it's just hard to watch. I watched this show with the same spirit I watched those early 2025 Dynamites. Because having a meh world title program is okay, the rest of the show can be great (Feb-Apr programming showed it) but now there's just too many good people involved here and I feel like everyone is being wasted."
[9.0] "Great show. Very fun show that had two hours flew by. A hot crowd also helped. That 8 main tag was fantastic and good promo work by Hangman, Bucks and Mox that helped establish the road to Double or Nothing. Feels like there is a big Blood and Guts or Anarchy in the Arena coming with the way they're telling the story"
[5.0] "This was ok, but parts of it felt like good ideas that weren't executed as well as possible. The Death Riders and Elite opening stuff was alright. I neither hate it nor love it. Sides are shaping up with some fun match potential at least. I don't know why Tony Khan doesn't curate his wrestlers better. Have somebody more hands on to edit down these live promos to cut out the waffling, or punch them up a bit for harder bars. I adore Kenny, but just because he's a veteran doesn't mean Tony can't say, hey, get with RJ City and really get this promo dialed in, and then stick to it. And why is Okada walking out in a suit that's 2 sizes too big looking baggy as hell? Like I love these guys, but the point of them being stars is to be presented IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE, and that's not happening. In some actually good news, Jericho is disappearing for at least a little while, but that segment was another that fell just shy of the bullseye and would've been better served on Collision. The matches were certainly up and down. The opener was at least mercifully short, PAC is injured again which sucks, and the other three were all serviceable and did a good job of keeping multiple talent on the screen."
[8.0] "Really good followup to Dynasty. Some good storyline progression happening in this show and setting up some matches for down the line as well. Too bad Pac got hurt, and that match had to be cut short. The 8 man tag as well as Statlander vs Thunder Rosa were both good matches. Toni Storm on commentary was great, she's so good. The Mjf and hurt syndicate storyline was great. The Jericho stuff wasn't the best but hopefully the end of the line for that storyline. Overall pretty good show and good followup to Dynasty."
[9.0] "A really excellent post-PPV show coming off a divisive Dynasty. I really enjoyed the opening match and promos, thought that they weaved the story together expertly and definitely intrigued me as to the direction they're going. A real unfortunate injury for PAC, hope he gets well soon, but this crowd were MOLTEN for Swerve. The 8 man was easily MOTN, pure vibes and talent on display, absolute balls to the wall fun. The second hour was slightly weaker (although I enjoyed the women's match and really enjoyed the Jericho segment which i was NOT expecting), and overall a really solid and enjoyable episode."
[5.0] "[5.4] One of the Dynamites of all time. There was some good stuff here, namely the 8-man tag being really really fun, Hangman continuing to be far and away the most interesting character on the show, and Statlander vs Rosa being good when you're not focused on trying not to absolutely crumble from Toni Storm on commentary, but the first 30 minutes of the show were just all around pretty cursed. Shibata, despite his best efforts, had a bad match that was practically a squash with Mox, directly into an extended Elite/Kenny Omega promo with another Omega/Okada 5 tease, into a Swerve vs PAC match that got cut short by a legitimate injury. The main event tag was okay but still suffered from the fact that it's just hard to get excited about anything Death Riders right now. A lot of this show was at least decent, but they just got into a pit with those first 30 minutes that the show never really completely got out of despite everyone's best efforts."
[7.0] "An unfortunate injury to PAC, a real shame, a fun 8 man tag that i'll forget about in a week, some fine promos this week, a killer main event, but overall just rather weak in terms of building up something im looking forward too, the death riders angle continues to be kinda meh, even if I like all the members involved and I loved the booking for the opening match, something just isn't clicking for me currently, Jericho and MJF also having long pointless promo segments too wasn't good, however the Elite storyline having the Bucks be the heels again, great stuff."
