[6.0] "MATCH 1: I expected more from this match since Kenny and Blake Christian are outstanding talents, to be over in such a disappointing manner, and the promo after took all the hype I had for the match PROMO 1: I liked the interaction between MJF and the Hurt Syndicate; it seems to have a lot of promise MATCH 2: A good match, both talents needed the win to gain/maintain momentum, finish aside, very enjoyable match, props to both Fletcher and King MATCH 3: A short meat fest of a fight, for Hoobs, it made him strong and a killer, but it did no favours for Mark Davis BACKSTAGE SEGMENT 1: Solid backstage promo for Nick Wayne, a good way to move a story along without giving too much away BACKSTAGE SEGMENT 2: Good interaction between Page and Swerve that gives a sample for another match down the line BACKSTAGE SEGMENT 3: A decent segment, it might bring something out of Cope and Dax, but it also could lead to something very underwhelming PROMO 2: The usual good promo between Swerve and Mox, it lays the ground for the Dynasty match and for its outcome, high expectations, a lot of blood will be spilled, and most likely a lot of involvement from the Death Riders BACKSTAGE SEGMENT 4: Great to see the OPS on TV (terrible name aside), seeing Joe choke out Castor is always a highlight BACKSTAGE SEGMENT 5: Jay White inserts himself in the Owen Hart Cup; he is someone who needs to win something meaningful before he is stuck in limbo, and with no trajectory MATCH 4: A squash match, nothing to write home about, served the purpose of getting the hometown boys a little run before they go back to catering MATCH 5: A solid outing from Takeshita and Mark Briscoe, the only note I have is that Takeshita should be more dominant in his match. In my opinion, most of his matches are 50/50 affairs, when he should be more of a killer BACKSTAGE SEGMENT 6: The Death Riders accept the challenge from Rated FTR in a good enough promo. The Trios Titles are a forgotten object in AEW since the Death Riders barely defend them, so I'm expecting a changing of the guard at Dynasty BACKSTAGE SEGMENT 7: The Hurt Syndicate once again acknowledges MJF, and his possible entry in the faction has something to be thought about. This will be a feature of TV for the next months, it serves both parties right as it gives the Hurt Syndicate the allocated TV that they deserve MATCH 6: A statement for Megan Bayne in this match, getting the pin over Toni Storm, but I feel if AEW won't let her beat Toni at Dinsasty, if they don't follow up and give Bayne a legitimate push they will lose a big talent to the AEW vortex that is catering Overall I give this show a 6/10 nothing much happened the matches were basic Flectcher/King aside, the promos and backstage segments carried this show to a grade that otherwise would be a 5/10"
[7.0] "A very fun in-ring episode of Dynamite. There were two very good matches from this show. Megan Bayne pinned the Women's Champion in a major upset in the Main Event. I do like the fact that Swerve Strickland is this mega-face who's trying to take the belt back and get it away from the Death Riders. Overall, it was a fun episode of Dynamite."
[9.0] "One of my favorite Dynamites of all time. There is this saying: "Show me the opening segment/match, and I will tell you how good the episode of a weekly televised wrestling show will be." The moment I saw that the episode's opening match was Kenny Omega vs Christian Blake, I knew that the next 2 hours would be special. And special they were. 1) Man, isn't Mike Bailey something else? It was his on-mic AEW debut, btw. I had never heard him speak before, and he didn't disappoint. Overall, a very solid opening segment. A short but an entertaining match between a legend and a young star, followed by a concise verbal exchange between the participants of the upcoming match at PPV - that's professional wrestling 101. 2) I didn't see MJF accepting MVP's offer in a million years. The overall dynamic of Bobby Lashley tearing apart the card and MJF just leaving with his tail between his legs was very strange... but refreshing, I guess. It's not a standard trope in pro wrestling, and I'm all for unstandard tropes. 3) Maybe it was just the camera angle or the magic of television, but I think Big Bill got even more jacked - his arms looked huge. Ah, and him going toe to toe with MVP on the mic felt like there was no script and they were just told to go out there and have fun. 4) The Jon Moxley vs Swerve face-off was better than expected. During the segment I realized that Jon Moxley never turned heel - he has been a babyface all along. He's basically Thanos of professional wrestling. Think about all the sacrifices he made for the company - his friend, his ego, his body. What sacrifices has Swerve made? For Strickland it all about himself. 5) As to the in-ring action itself, we had 2 great segments and 2 great matches, and quite an unexpected conclusion to the main event, which only solidifed the episode as one of the best in history. The overall show was paced very well, felt very coherent and fresh."
[10.0] "10/10 it's becoming the norm again for every single Wednesday to be top, top quality... everything at the moment is firing on all cylinders. Not a single match ranks below 'good', Swerve and Hangman had their first interaction in months which simply gets the blood pumping... Swerve looked a killer against Mox, we're teasing the FTR heel then further, albeit after a decent looking match at Dynasty, Toni Storm looks more of a superstar every outing, and Megan Bayne is being made into a full blown unstoppable force. Everyone played their part, everything hit the spot. Again."
[7.0] "Another solid episode and mostly a lot of fun. It's definitely between a 7 and an 8. I enjoyed the interaction between Speedball and Omega in the opening segment following Omega's match. Everything else was interesting and flowed well. I don't understand how Toni says half the stuff she says with such a straight face. She's genuinely something else."
[9.0] "Really good opening match between Brody King and Kyle Fletcher. Hobbs spanks on Mark Davis in the second slot. Interesting segment with MJF and the Hurt Syndicate, as well as Rated FTR. Didn't care much for the Mox & Swerve segment. The hometown boys Top Flight pick up a squash win, and Takeshita defeats Mark Briscoe. Fantastic main event between four very entertaining wrestlers from the women's locker room, including Bayne pinning our champion Toni Storm clean."
[7.0] "Another solid show overall with some good matches and decent segments. Glad Omega didn't struggle in the opener, in the past this would have gone 15 minutes for no reason. Hurt Syndicate segment was the low point of the show, MVP's bizarre behaviour completely derailed the segment which was awful to see. Jericho had a solid promo which was refreshing to see. Callis family related matches were solid although Fletcher vs Brody could have gone a little shorter. Mox-Swerve segment took awhile to get going but it accomplished what it was supposed to do, at least after all the deathriders nonsense for months we finally got something good to look forward to, just please end this shitshow at Dynasty. Marina-Willow had a fun confrontation. Thundertits instantly got over, Toni's superstar status is undeniable now. She doesn't even have to try hard to captivate the crowds. Main event was fun, only downside was that it should have been longer, it's great that they get that spot but for the love of god give these women more time. Megan looked good with the pin but she's not ready for the title. Anyways, excited for Dynasty."
[8.0] "Another strong episode of Dynamite, 2 great matches, 1 good match and some excellent promo segments! Fletcher Vs Brody was excellent, match of the night, started a bit slow but absolutely delivered in the end. The top rope BrainBuster finish was great. Takeshita Vs Briscoe was the other great match on this episode. Women's main event was a good match and really did a good job at building the Toni / Bayne match at dynasty. International 3-way build and the MJF / Hurt Syndicate segments were both really good but the best thing on this episode was Swerve and Mox's head-to-head - this was incredible. (8/10)"
[8.0] "I've really been enjoying AEW's TV product as of late, it feels like they've really hit their stride, and especially in the past couple weeks since Revolution, everything feels like it's been hitting quite well. Kenny vs Blake Christian was a fun squash, honestly I need more matches where Kenny Omega just wins quickly because he's Kenny Omega. There were 2 standout matches on this show for me, Kyle Fletcher vs Brody King was very fun, and my MOTN. Takeshita vs Mark Briscoe was also a very good TV match. The Main event Women's tag was also good. The main event tag, the Omega/Speedball/Ricochet segment and the Mox/Swerve segment all did a very good job of getting me excited for Dynasty. The Mox/Swerve segment was especially good, and probably the most I've been into Mox's character since the start of the Death Riders story."
[8.0] "Dynamite has got into a comfortable pattern as of late. Nothing spectacularly ground-breaking tonight, but good matches and good non-match segments make for a very enjoyable experience. It's really not hard, when you think about it."
[7.0] "This is my first time watching Dynamite in a while because I was under the impression that this is the best running weekly show in wrestling, lowkey breathing down my neck about it. I watched Revolution a while back (I liked it), so I am familiar with some stories going forward here but this was...fine? I guess. I love Kenny Omega, but him bringing his cat as his only friend during his promo felt dork-ish. I have a cat too, but I wouldn't say that before a big fight, also why is his limited appearances being wasted on a RoH jobber though, it's clear how Tony Khan views that promotion now. Everything else was more or less the same when I used to watch it before during the Danielson title reign, lengthy matches with loose in-ring storytelling that doesn't justify its length or why is it being build as an epic plus throwaway squash matches. I really liked the Takeshita match and really appreciate the women finally getting the main event spotlight. The promos were decent, I guess, it's not like they're being super unique, almost every match on the next PPV has a similar narrative, but it's better to play safe than sorry."
[5.0] "[5.0] I want to talk about the world Champion Jon Moxley and Swerve segment first. What the hell is this wannabe tough guy Moxley even talking about? He keeps talking in circles and reaches to no conclusion? Ok social media bad - got it. Respects Swerve - got it. But he won't give any handouts to Swerve? Wtf. Swerve won a legit no. 1 contendership match. Keeps saying how far is Swerve willing to go and how Dynasty is about Swerve vs Swerve. Absolute pseudo intellectual bullshit with flowery language. He doesn't even wear the world title belt for some weird reason he has never talked about clearly. Delusional and hopeless. He is most probably retaining which is going to be so annoying in the future... Kyle and Brody had a good match. Takeshita and Briscoe was a no selling contest as to who can show off more. Women's tag match was fun. Kenny vs Blake was also entertaining but why the hell is Kenny fighting with literal jobbers without any storyline? Same goes for Kyle vs Brodie and Takeshita vs Bridcoe? Why the hell are these guys wrestling? ... Hurt Business segment was good and MVP absolutely torched Bryan Keith. Big Bill held his own against him though. Rated FTR segment was very boring.... Hobbs was great. This man has so much untapped potential. Please please push him to the top. He's got such a unique look and he can be good at mic as well when given a chance like when he cut that promo against Moxley."
[5.0] "There were a few okay promo segments on this, mostly involving MJF and The Hurt Syndicate, but outside of that even the best matches on this show were heatless. There's no story or any reason to care. Mark Briscoe hasn't had one memorable story since appearing in AEW. The Jericho angle is the only one I almost remember. The main event was the only match on the card which really had an angle attached to it, which is crazy to say after nearly two hours of wrestling. Fletcher vs King, despite having no angle or heat, was still pretty good but it's strange to see these guys wrestle like it's a grudge match in which they're trying to kill each other when it'll all be forgotten about next week."
[8.0] "AEW keeps on focusing on being the alternative and keeps putting on great shows. Refreshing stuff, good stories, great in-ring. Everything I want from AEW. Omega squashed Blake Christian and then had a nice face-off with Mike Bailey. Shoutout to Ricochet for cutting a promo on his wedding day. MJF/MVP segment was good. Lashley and Shelton don't want MJF in the Hurt Syndicate, let's see how this goes. Don't know what Bryan Keith did to MVP to get cooked so hard but I loved it. Big Bill tried to hold his own against MVP and did well. Fletcher vs. Brody was the best match of the night. Great way to give Fletcher some momentum after Revolution. A bit let down by Hobbs vs. Davis, don't know why it was so short. But Hobbs keeps looking great. Swerve/Moxley angle was great. Finally a great Moxley promo and Swerve is just HIM. He has to win at Dynasty. Also I'm really liking Marina/Willow interactions. Hope it leads to a singles match. Takeshita vs. Briscoe was really good. Penelope/Bayne vs. ThunderTits was a solid main event. Nice to see the women main event again. Bayne pinned Toni. Overall: really good in-ring and the promos were enjoyable too. Nice show. Bitch, did I stutter?"
[7.0] "Solid show with some refreshing booking ideas going on. The opening segment with Kenny, who has a nice little tune up match and a fun, authentic promo with the two other biggest dorks in the company. It's a Dork-Off at Dynasty, and I am 100% here for it and think the match will be loads of fun. The Callis Family matches were all interesting, at least, although I do worry that Mark Davis is injured and some kind of audible was called to shorten the match. He was def limping, and what little there was of the match was one big botch. There finally feels like a light at the end of the D-Riders tunnel with Swerve. I thought the face off with Mox was a bit dragging and Mox was just rambling in circles at a poing. I'm tired of Marina doing nothing, but Swerve does look strong at the end. Toni continues to shine. The Rated FTR segment was a bit rambly but nicely sets up Bald's motivations and growing resentment. And finally: DID I STUTTER, BITCH?"
[8.0] "Another cool looking venue for another great Dynamite. A good mix of good wrestling and interesting promos. Kyle Fletcher vs Brody King was by far the MOTN, breathtaking bumps and finish, hope Brody is not injured after that turnbuckle brainbuster! Kyle Fletcher is so good and charismatic now that I feel it kind of take away the charisma of Konosuke Takeshita who should leave the Don Callis Familly and face turn soon. MVP/MJF was still intriguing with Bobby Lashley getting in the way, I also liked that Big Bill and Bryan Keith challenging for the tag belt didn't came from nowhere as Jericho told them to prove their worth earlier in the show. Rated FTR segment was good with Dax teasing a betrayal, which means they probably won't win the trios belts from Death Riders. Finally a very good Moxley promo that didn't end like bullshit, Swerve is the man, please may he win at Dynasty, cool to see it still features Willow in the storyline too! The main event tag was good, another big showcase for Megan Bayne who pinned the champ clean, "Thunder Tits" was fun. I'm not sure Blake Christian facing Omega was necessary, you present the guy as an exciting fast paced spot fest wrestler only to basically getting squashed in the opener... Speedball vs Blake Christian would have been a banger match to open the show and then you do the Omega in ring promo (which was fun). Hobbs vs Mark Davis was disappointing after all the fuss with the security and all, need more meat! I hope they do a rematch no DQ style. A little dip in quality this week but still very good show."
"I know Tony doesn't like ROH and wants it dead probably that's why we had hype video before Blake fight and he did 4 moves during 5 minutes fight. Brody/Kyle both should be counted out to 10 coz 50% of the fight was outside the ring and nobody even reset the count. Good match to buildup Fletcher after last steel cage. Some teasing, some story, some promos. Yea it was good to watch, nothing crazy but decent episode"
"A mostly very good show, with one gripe being the relative lack of graps for much of the first hour. Kenny/Speedball/Ricochet will certainly deliver in-ring, but makes for an awkward opening-show promo (especially with Ricochet FaceTiming his portion in). I'd watch Fletcher/King any night and this was as fun as I'd hoped. Both that and the very good Takeshita/Briscoe match has me wanting more in the longer-term booking for all four men. Wouldn't mind a Fletcher-Kenny build for DoN. Put Takeshita in the Owen if we're not going to get him in a singles program soon. Hobbs v. Okada, book it. Top Flight earned a deserved hometown showcase and glad to see them booked for Collision. The women's title picture has received some smart, entertaining booking the past two weeks. So refreshing as I feared an ice-cold build for Dynasty. Mox-Swerve showdown had its moments but the crowd (and myself) could not be more ready for an end to Mox's title reign and a reset on the Death Riders overall. You could literally hear a fan yell "Wake me up when this is over! " during their back and forth. Still, not as poorly executed as previous feuds during this reign and the match has potential. The Willow-Shafir brawl at the very end of the segment was a bit of a mess. You never want your final impression of a big face-off to be that you just watched a sloppy segment."
[9.0] "Fun show. No super outstanding matches, but it flowed together very well. Brody vs. Fletcher was a good match that was hard hitting and finally got the crowd into it. Omega is striking a much better chord with his presentation and character. Can still be himself but turn up the seriousness. Toni Storm is a major star for the promotion and the crowd acted as such. Top Flight in their hometown was nice to see."
[6.0] "Solid show that was more promo based. Some odd matchmaking choices such as putting Blake Christian against Kenny Omega to lose rather quickly only to say that Blake is undefeated in ROH in a show that a smaller percentage of their audience sees. Mike Bailey already feels placed in an odd spot with Ricochet being more of the one carrying the feud. A couple rebound wins for Kyle Fletcher and Takeshita, one unfortunately at the expense of Mark Briscoe who continues to feel underutilized. The Hurt Syndicate still suffer from alignment issues and pairing them with Bryan Keith/Big Bill does little to rectify that. Megan Bayne has at least been effectively set up in terms of challenging Toni."
"Swerve vs. Mox was electric, Brody/Kyle stole the night, and Megan Bayne is being built into an absolute powerhouse. Everything clicked, the storytelling feels organic, and the road to All In is shaping up to be something special."
[9.0] "This was another great Dynamite, with a crowd that was invested into almost everything. Fletcher/Brody and Takeshita/Briscoe were great matches, and there were other good segments with Mox, Swerve, Hangman, Toni Storm, MJF and the Hurt Syndicate."
[5.0] "[2.25/5.00]: The problem with AEW is the inconsistency; last week's great episode is sandwiched between two below average ones, though I mostly prefer AEW when it does its wrestling and not when it tries to create a narrative since what they normally do is "new guy shows up, racks some wins, title opportunity, fails, falls down the ladder" and that is the new case with Mike Bailey here. It doesn't need to have a grande long-term story everytime either, I'm not sure what they're setting with MJF and Hurt Syndicate but it does feel like an overarching year-long narrative with no satisfying payoff while Moxley has the same all same all promo of billionaire investors ruining the craft of wrestling (same guy who almost died yesterday by the way). The Kyle Fletcher-Brody King feud was fun to follow even if it was brief, not sure why AEW doesn't insist on their own commentary though, if Kyle did go thorugh a "brutal, life altering" cage match then why blur that illusion by having another draining match without those consequences, but then again it's a promotion that does mindless entertainment and it does those well, such was the case here. Takeshita also had a decent match as a wrestler of his caliber should, while they're still rectifying the mistake of Toni Storm not main eventing by making her involve in consecutive weeks at a main event, and that to for a non-interesting PPV feud."
[10.0] "One of those shows that I watched with a constant smile on my face.AEW has hit a groove that I've been seeking since the Joe-Swerve-Danielson world champ period. Kenny Omega opening the show was awesome and had a respectable match. The Kenny speedball promo effectively illustrated both their characters and Richochet calling in via satellite to taunt was nice. I'm very impressed by Ricochet's transformation in AEW. Fletcher and King had the match of the night, which was fantastic. Powerhouse Hobbs is becoming a star, he is one of my favorites to see weekly. That Swerve Hangman interaction was awesome, I can't wait to see where that goes. Swerve also had a tremendous segment with Mox, it felt like he brought out an old Mox we haven't seen in quite a while. Willow was a nice addition to the Mox Swerve seg as well. Toni Storm and Thunder Rose had a hilarious segment, demonstrating great chemistry and comedic timing. Additionally, it was great to see the women main event. This show was so loaded that I almost forgot the cool Hurt Syndicate MJF and Opps Max caster segments. I would like to speak on that Opps segment a bit more, Samoa Joe has helped HOOK find his character with these walk-and-talk segments. Joe has found a way to blend the intensity of his group with nice moments of comedy. Top Flight was also great in the segment. This episode demonstrated well of what I love about AEW."
[10.0] "This was an excellent episode of Dynamite that had virtually everything you want from good matches to great promos to PPV build to interesting developments. While Dynasty only has 4 matches announced, the build looks to be very very solid. The Swerve/Mox segment was fantastic and this air of tension around it which made itthe best Death Riders segment maybe since retiring Bryan. I LOVE the idea of all the main characters on the show having the world title as their goal, anything else they go through is just a roadblock they need to clear. In fact, it seems like all characters on the show are chasing gold of some kind and that's how it should be. There is something in the air at AEW recently and it's GOOD. The vibes are back again and the fact that we have many possible AND exciting scenarios for All In is such a healthy sign. Match of The Night was Brody/Kyle. MJF's current arc is very interesting because I can't see where it goes, Megan Bayne seems to be getting a PUSH PUSH, Mike Bailey came off well on TV and the Cope/FTR sit down when coupled with the Nick Wayne promo are promising. Sucha great show."
[10.0] "I would absolutely say that AEW is on a great role right now of TV, excellent matches, promos, storylines, everything is hitting perfectly, an awesome opener that wasn't a complete squash but didn't go 50/50 giving Blake enough time to get a little bit in but Omega looked like he was in complete control, an unbelievably awesome and shockingly long match between Brody and Fletcher, Fletcher continues to grow like a beast, an oddly short match between Hobbs and Davis but one truly can't complain with Hobbs being booked like a beast, and now we finally get Moxley and Swerve hitting it out of the park, the best Moxley has came off in forever, and SWERVE IS THEE GUY, Takeshita/Briscoe kill it, and an awesome main event with Megan Bayne looking stronger than ever, a thumbs up beyond belief, we're getting REAL REAL REAL now brother."
