[4.0] "A rare misfire for AEW. The main event obviously was the main talking point but there was some other bad stuff too. The TNT and ROH title matches sucked, Mone vs Julia sucked. The tag match was a bunch of filler nonsense too. I enjoyed some of the matches for sure but overall more bad than good here."

"I said it in a lot of my match comments, but this crowd was dead after about two matches. Really ruined the rest of the show. This phenomenon happens in almost every big AEW show, if you are fair to the company and care to notice. The crowd usually waits to stop caring until halfway though. Adam Cole vs Daniel Garcia might as well have fought out in the loading dock to get a reaction. Even Tony mentioned needing to stay awake on commentary before the Omega match. You know, to promote how exciting the product is to the audience that paid money to watch at home, where they could go to sleep instead."

[7.0] "This was a very long show at nearly 4.5 hours and I don't think it needed to be that long. Matches like Fletcher/Briscoe and Mone/Hart could have been TV matches, but I think it's a case of AEW wanting to get those wrestlers on the PPV. I understand wanting to give the wrestlers at least 15 minutes in most of the matches, but I think it's important to not go too long when you're going past midnight on a Sunday night. I was exhausted writing about it and I liked most of the show. You could tell there were some matches where the crowd was tired, but they were a very good crowd for many of the big matches."

[6.0] "Considering the general high level of quality AEW PPVs have and specifically this year with Revolution, All In Texas and Double or Nothing ranking near the top of their all time shows, it's a bit surprising when one is just a mixed bag. The roster is too talented for an out right stinker, so there's plenty of highlights. Kevin Knight looked like a star against Ospreay in a hot opener. Kyle Fletcher continues to be one of the fastest rising singles stars of the past year against Mark Briscoe. Toni Storm has one of her best title defenses against a huge and imposing Megan Bayne. I had a good time with FTR tag match, as I usually do. And although it clearly went on five mins too long, the Omega/Bailey/Ricochet three way is a MOTYC, just a hell of a match. But there's a whole lot of flab on this card, with yet another boring hurt syndicate match, washed Adam Cole and turbo washed Chris Jericho matches. And just when you're feeling good after the great three way match, we get another absolute stink bomb of a main event with Mox and the death riders. Kinda the best and worst of AEW in 2025 on one card."

I didn't watch the ROH title match or the TNT title match cause I knew I wasn't going to care. But Fletcher vs. Briscoe, The Triple Threat, and yes even the main event were great watches. Lots of stories developing for the TV shows that I don't care to watch anymore, so if that's your bag, you're rolling in it. Pretty Good Show."

Plot twist: The young bucks are back. Helping out the dudes that drove them out of the building many months prior. Hopefully, they'll be able to make it all make some f****ng sense. Hopefully, but I won't hold my breath. [8.0] "AEW Dynasty 2025 was a b-show with a lot of overbooking and airtime, I love wrestling, but let's face it, a PPV of this caliber doesn't need to be more than 4 hours long, as much as the Owen Hart tournament matches were great, these could easily be cut from the show. Ospreay vs. Knight: Besides death, the only certainty in life is that Billy GOAT will deliver on PPV. MOTN (****1/2). Hurt Syndicate vs. Learning Tree was fun (***). Mercedes vs. Julia (***1/4). Death Riders vs. Rated FTR: good match, I really liked the joint movements between the champions and the icing on the cake was FTR's turn over Cope (***1/2). Tony vs. Megan: I thought this match was a missed opportunity, as much as I love the character Timeless, it's time to put other women in the title scene and Megan Bayne would be a great name for that, I didn't like the ending (***1/4), Fletcher vs. Briscoe: another great match between the two (****1/4). Now we reach the low point of the night with the two worst matches of the show, Jericho vs. Bandido: the whole thing about restarting the match was stupid and unnecessary (***). Garcia vs. Cole: boring match and the worst of the night (***). Kenny vs. Speedball vs. Ricochet (****1/4). Mox vs. Swerve: I liked this match, even with the result and the unexpected turn by the Bucks (****). Overall a PPV that could have been better optimized and again controversial (7.5/10)"

[7.0] "AEW Dynasty 2025 was another example of a good PPV with a bad ending that nobody liked. The Deathriders stuff is so jarringly bad at this point that it's holding down AEW. I know it's a draw but just because it's a draw doesn't mean it's good. We had some highlights like Ospreay vs. Knight, I feel like this match put Kevin Knight on the map. FTR turning on Cope was really well done. Megan Bayne kind of impressed me, Fletcher vs. Briscoe was damn good, Omega vs. Ricochet vs. Speedball was MOTN and Okada / Omega's staredown was awesome. The main event was just underwhelming. Not as god awful as Cope vs. Mox but another mediocre match that was put on a bad position with The Young Bucks returning. Let's see where this goes because the last time I saw the Bucks, I found them decent at best and horrible to watch at worst with the new gimmicks. Overall, a good show with a bad ending hampering it down. [***3/4]"

[7.0] "Not a great PPV, which is thankfully a rarity for AEW. But, it's a "minor" PPV in between Revolution and Double Or Nothing (with All In after that). That said, there were really questionable decisions that most everyone agrees upon. The wrestlers and matches are not at fault (except Chris Jericho), but Tony Khan and the rest of the decision makers are. It's a real shame because AEW has been cooking lately, with some great Dynamite episodes over the last few months. The product is great, but this was a let down. Probably a 6.5 or 7 out of 10 still because the good is still VERY GOOD. Instead of going thru the matches 1-by-1 I'll list the stupid and bad then the good. Stupid and Bad: 1) Length of show and card. Everyone on the east coast is really annoyed that it went past midnight. I don't blame them. I'm on the west coast, so I didn't realize until I saw the complaints. But, I did know how tired I was getting. 2) Easiest way to shorten it? Get CHRIS JERICHO the HELL off this card and my TV. This match was 7th out of 10 and AFTER both women's matches. Unacceptable. This is pre-show or TV material AT BEST. Jericho is washed up and has had go-away heat for some time now. Either retire or figure out a re-invention that's not just a new name or gimmick this time. Re-configure your in-ring or else. Tony Khan needs to realize this and NOT re-sign him again (got a 1-year extension last year). 3) Like I said, only 2 women's matches and they were both in the 1st half of the card. Ridiculous. There should have been 3 (Willow vs Marina Shaffir) and Toni/Bayne should have been 2nd to last. 4) TNT title match should have been earlier in the show. Garcia doesn't have an exciting enough ring-style to keep the audience engaged even though we all love him. 5) Ending with two consecutive 30-minute matches. Even though one was the Triple Threat with Kenny, Speedball, and Ricochet, you can't do that at the end of this long ass show. 6) Everyone and their mother is done with the Death Riders. Nobody was happy that Mox won at Revolution, and less were happy he won again here. The match was much better than Revolution main event, but of course it was because Swerve was in it here. But it still wasn't great. Too slow for that spot. I don't mind the Young Bucks surprise run-in, because that's for a story to be told going forward. Tony Khan needs to learn when to cut his losses on stories like this. Swerve is loved and nobody would have been unhappy had he been champ again. The Good: 1) I don't love that there are 1st round Owen Hart tourney matches on a PPV, but both men's matches were GREAT. Ospreay/Knight opened the show with a bang and holy mother of god do Fletcher/Briscoe have chemistry? Probably match of the night for that one. Mercedes/Julia was very good. Julia is much better recently - she doesn't just jump INTO people in the corner, she runs THROUGH them. Same for her strikes. Someone must have pointed this out because it was my big complaint of hers (I'm a big fan), and as of a month or so ago she started finishing her moves and is 100% more believable. 2) Big Bill vs Hurt Syndicate. MEAT. Bill is so good. 3) FTR turn. People saw it coming, but we have also been waiting for it. Heel FTR will be great. Hoping that Cope goes Brood and/or teams with Cage finally. 4) Toni and Megan Bayne. Toni is the greatest and this match was excellent. Loved the Rocky gimmick as well as the multiple hip attacks followed by a storm zero yet Megan kicked out at 1. That's how you build a monster. I wouldn't have been mad if Bayne won, because that's the story they were telling. 5) International Title 3-way. All 3 of them are great and despite the length, it is what I wanted. I'll watch any of them wrestle any day. Together, there were some moments. Slow build as always for Kenny matches, but the highlights, especially the finish of an AVALANCHE One-Winged Angel on Ricochet, are a great payoff."

[6.0] "Kind of a tale of two shows here, with a few great matches (at least one of which was awesome) tempered by some of AEW's worst stuff in recent memory. On the positive side, the Omega-Bailey-Ricochet three-way was easily the best match of the night and one of the best this year; a match that not only provided great action but also did a great job of making all three participants come out of it looking better for it. Storm vs Bayne and Ospreay vs Knight were also great, Fletcher vs Briscoe and the Rated FTR vs Death Riders six-man were also good (the latter having a well-executed turn angle for FTR). Mone vs Hart and the Tag Title match were OK. Jericho vs Bandido was also mostly OK, but I'm not sure how well the old-school booking of the finish came off for the AEW audience. Garcia vs Cole seemed somewhat off. For the second straight month, though, the real letdown of the show was the main event - to be sure it was at least a better match than the Mox vs Copeland bout last month, but the finish with the Bucks showing up didn't make sense, and the Death Riders story just isn't working. They need to get the belt off of Moxley yesterday and they can't keep waiting for Darby to come back from Everest in several months to do it."

[7.0] "AEW Dynasty 2025 was yet another PPV that had the potential to be great, but got dragged down by poor booking choices and a main event that actively frustrated fans. AEW has developed a worrying pattern lately: strong undercards with standout matches that get completely overshadowed by overbooked finishes and storytelling misfires, and this was no different. The show wasn't without its highlights. Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight was one of the night's best matches, and a real breakout performance for Knight. He looked like he belonged in the ring with a top-tier guy and made a big impression here. Kenny Omega vs. Ricochet vs. Mike Bailey was the clear Match of the Night, and honestly a Match of the Year contender. Just a lightning-paced, incredibly fluid three-way with unreal chemistry and top-level execution. One of the best triple threats ever. Toni Storm vs. Megan Bayne also exceeded expectations. Storm is always on point, and Bayne stepped up big time in one of her best AEW performances so far. Rated FTR vs. Death Riders was pretty good in parts. FTR's heel turn on Cope was another highlight. It was executed cleanly and gives FTR some new heat and direction moving forward. Mark Briscoe vs. Kyle Fletcher was very strong as well. Great back-and-forth, physical, with good emotion. Fletcher's stock continues to rise. Unfortunately, the rest of the card was bloated and inconsistent. The Tag Title match was passable but had zero heat. It felt like a placeholder match that didn't belong on a PPV. Mercedes Moné vs. Julia Hart was okay--sloppy in moments and not PPV-worthy, especially with no real story behind it. Would've worked better as a Dynamite match. Bandido vs. Jericho started decent but completely fell apart by the end. The finish, involving Bandido's family pointing out cheating and the match being restarted, was ridiculous and made AEW's officiating feel inconsistent across the card. Adam Cole vs. Daniel Garcia was flat. Great that Cole finally picked up a big win, but Garcia's reign ends with a whimper. No fire, no heat--just a slow match that didn't feel like it mattered. And then we got to the main event, which derailed the show completely. Swerve Strickland, one of the most over wrestlers in the company, had all the momentum. The logical next step was a title match against Hangman Page at All In: Texas, with Hangman overcoming his demons by winning the Owen Cup. AEW had been building toward that story for over a year. Instead, we got another overbooked mess. The Young Bucks returned, aligned with the Death Riders, and cost Swerve the match. It made no sense storyline-wise, felt completely tone-deaf, and turned what should've been a career-defining moment into one of AEW's most frustrating finishes. The match was already slow and lacked urgency. The interference-heavy finish just killed it. Moxley retaining again--via interference yet again--has fans beyond tired. The story isn't just stale, it's actively damaging AEW's momentum. To make matters worse, the show ran 4.5 hours, and it felt like it. Several matches had no real build and could've been saved for Dynamite or Collision. The Owen Hart Cup matches, while technically fine, didn't have enough weight to justify being on PPV. The ROH World Title match didn't belong here either--long, strange finish, and again, just added to runtime bloat. The Omega/Okada staredown after the triple threat was one of the best visuals of the night and should've been the lasting memory of the show. Instead, it's been completely overshadowed by the frustrating ending. This marks the third PPV in a row where AEW has put on a good show and let the main event--and specifically the Death Riders storyline--ruin the momentum. The storytelling is starting to feel directionless, and some of AEW's best talents (like Swerve, Omega, and even Moxley) are being overshadowed because of it. Final Verdict: Strong matches, weak card structure, too many filler bouts, and a main event finish that left fans angry instead of excited. AEW needs to start delivering actual payoffs again. Good matches aren't enough--fans want satisfying conclusions and earned moments. Dynasty 2025 had the tools to be great. Instead, it'll be remembered for what went wrong."

[6.0] "Main event was so bad, it made me get a Cagematch account just to rant about it. As for the rest of the event, it had its moments. Osperay and Knight was a good, fun opener. I honestly think having Osperay put on a match with a young talent like Kevin Knight to open up the event was the right call, especially since Will just wrapped up his rivalry with Fletcher (for now). The Tag Title Match was okay. I'm a bit skeptical about The Hurt Syndicate in AEW so far because outside of having MVP as their spokesperson, they're boring me a bit... but I'm open to seeing how it turns out. Mercedes/Hart was also okay... nothing I was surprised by but neither disappointed. Death Riders and FTR was solid as well, and I thought turning FTR heel was a really great decision that caught me off guard in the best way. Storm/Bayne was a good match that gets me excited to see what Megan Bayne's near future has in store. Fletcher/Briscoe was a very fun match between a very charismatic face versus one of the best storytellers in wrestling right now. Jericho/Bandido's match was fine enough with a bad ending... Why did we need that unnecessary restart when we knew Chris was going to drop the title to start his band's tour? Cole/Garcia was also a fine enough match... with how much of a charisma black hole Daniel Garcia is, I'm not mad he dropped the title. As expected, Omega/Ricochet/Speedball was the MOTN, and really everything I wanted in a match between those three. Funny moments from Ricochet, a great first big AEW match from Speedball to build him up, and Kenny Omega retaining the title after really making sure the other two had their spotlight as well. Extremely enjoyable match all-around, and one of my favorites of the year so far (And we're gonna get Omega/Okada soon :D). But then there was that sludge of a main event with Mox's reign of terror at it again. The crowd was DEAD, and Moxley's wrestling for the first half was so boring and slow. Rest holds and biting over and over, where it took a cool-ish spot to get the crowd a bit louder. The refereeing was really weird, because they were counting out Swerve at first and kind of just forgot to do it at any other point, nevermind the biting not being a DQ... The ending was awful, literally parody-like. I'm so tired of the Death Riders and Young Bucks, and it's obvious the whole crowd was. Overall, a show that was TOO LONG with some BAD WRITING, but it had some really good matches in between."

The theme of this PPV was elevation, elevating talents all across the card. Kyle Fletcher, Julia Hart, Kevin Knight, and Megan Bayne all came out of this PPV looking like absolute stars in the making. Even 2025 CHRIS JERICHO came out of this PPV looking better. With only one real dud on the card, the TNT title match, its hard not to call this card what it is, great. In comparing it to the last PPV, Revolution 2025, I think the word of the day is consistency. Revolution had a three match stretch of incredible wrestling that culminated in one of the most god awful matches to main event a wrestling show in recent memory. At Dynasty, that just did not happen and we got a really good show out of it. I think people will look back at this once the Moxley stuff has died down and realize how underrated of a show this was, 7/10."

Ospreay vs Knight, Briscoe vs Fletcher, Storm vs Bayne and the International three way were great fun, with the rest of the matches OK at best. The FTR heel turn was very well executed and a highlight of the show. If this was Chris Jericho's last PPV match for a while, or perhaps ever, it's a good thing. I'm not as down on the Death Riders story as some, but it makes more sense for the briefcase to be opened at All In by either Ospreay or Hangman. The main event match itself wasn't anything special. However, the involvement of Hangman and the Bucks has added intrigue. If you're the type of fan that throws their toys out of the pram because matches don't go the way you've fantasy booked them in your head, then maybe you should stop fantasy booking matches. It's fine to not like something, but some of the overreactions have been absolutely ridiculous."

It took me multiple days to get through this show, not because I am unable to watch 4.5 hours in one sitting, but because because the first 8! matches had nothing, and I mean nothing, to be excited about. Each and every winner was blatantly obvious und while none of the matches were bad, they were not good enough to mitigate this. There were four matches that could, and should, have been left off and the show would still have been very long. Why do we need random Owen Cup matches on this card without any real storylines? Book those as Dynamite or Collision main events. Why are we still getting ROH title matches on AEW PPVs? The other matches from the first 8 were reasonable to have on the card but they still did not excite me. After every single match I took a break because I was not interested in the next one. At least the International Championship match was really good. The main event was poor. I just feel miserable whenever there is a Death Riders main event and I can not wait for this torture to finally be over. Match was mid, overbooking and the damn Bucks coming in like the Undertaker. Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin vs Big Bill & Bryan Keith: The Hurt Syndicate had this match won anyway as the result was never in doubt, MJF getting involved from the crowd should not have happened, the match was fine for what it was, and that was should have happened on Dynamite or Collision not a PPV [**]. Mercedes Mone vs Julia Hart: A solid showing from Hart who keeps showing she is improving within the ring especially against someone on the level of Mone, back and forth action especially towards the end when they both countered submissions into pinfalls, Mone winning was not a surprise though [***1/4]. Claudio Castagnoli, PAC & Wheeler Yuta vs Cash Wheeler, Cope & Dax Harwood: Going through the motions here with a wrestling simple trios titles match, no memorable moments and of course the Death Riders would get the win which led to the heel turn of FTR when they attacked Cope which was crazy [**1/4]. Toni Storm vs Megan Bayne: A strong defense for Storm who managed to topple the goliath known as Bayne, the match was alright to be honest, did what it needed to do [***]. Kyle Fletcher vs Mark Briscoe: These two had a great level of chemistry and they put on a great showing, Fletcher getting the win was good to see though, a great match within the Owen Hart Cup tournament [****1/4]. Bandido vs Chris Jericho: Gotta be honest, I was not a fan of this match, Jericho in 2025 is slow and plodding around the ring, Bandido winning the title was the right call here as the title needed to be taken from Jericho [**]. Adam Cole vs Daniel Garcia: I rather enjoyed this match to be honest, better than the previous two they have had since March 1, Cole winning the title seemed interesting and intrigued to see where it goes from here [***3/4]. Kenny Omega vs Mike Bailey vs Ricochet: Put these three wrestlers within the same match and you can expect a banger, and it delivered big time, they put on a PWG style match from 2015, the action was what you would expect and Omega retaining did make sense [*****]. Jon Moxley vs Swerve Strickland: Was not too keen on this one, yet again all the interferences did not need to happen, The Young Bucks making their return to AEW was not worked well and Moxley retaining was not that good of a booking decision [*3/4]"

It's hard, following a show like Revolution 2025. And this match had strong booking going into it, especially with Toni Storm and Megan Bayne. I also thought the FTR heel turn was excellent. And I think Moxley is doing a much better job than he is getting credit for. There was a lot to like going into this show, albeit with a weaker undercard than Revolution. The Main event however was much stronger. Swerve and Moxley is one of the most appealing matchups AEW has to offer, in my opinion. Unfortunately the booking maybe left something to be desired, at least in the short term. But I think this was a good show and there are valid arguments to defend the booking of the main event. So overall a good show."

[8.0] "This is the first AEW PPV in over a year that won't get a 9 or 10 from me. However, it still has a five star match on it, it still has 3 other excellent matches. But it was too long, and had a few middle or the road matches we could have done without. For me though this didn't come down to the ending, they're building to something, I can see it - the next two PPVs should pay them off. It actually came down to the Learning Tree. I didn't need a ROH title match here, I didn't need Learning Tree in that Tag You take both those matches off this show, the rating goes up. I honestly hope that storyline comes to an end and soon. Big Bill and Bryan Keith can have good matches, send them off, even keep them as a team, no matter really. But Jericho has to go away for a bit, come back fresh and actually do a retirement run. We need to send him off into the night, it's time, he's started holding people back. Now, the elephant in the room - Mox. He's playing his role and the story has NOT been great. But now I see the end in sight? It could be the making of the next AEW Champ. So I'll take it. But he has to reinvent himself too, needs to take that break he tried to years ago. But there's so much to love about this show, even if it was just an elevated episode of Dynamite. That triple threat? Gold! Making stars of Bayne, Knight, Speedball on their first PPV matches? That's how you make stars. We'll look back at this PPV in a year and wonder why we rated it so low."

Kyle vs Briscoe and the triple threat were awesome matches and Megan Bayne came out as a star even in the lose. The ROH and the TNT matches in a row was not a good choice, definetely the worst part of the event. I think the pairing of the YB with Mox can be interesting, I'm definetely not a fan of his reigning but this looks refreshing, and the match was good. I'm not mad at all about that."

Both women's matches put on quality wrestling. I thought Megan & Toni performed particularly well. The International title 3-way was a 5-star match, hands down. And then, matches like the Trios championship and main event left me eager to find out what will happen next. I know normally people don't want to pay money for cliffhangers, but with Double or Nothing and Y'all In on the horizon it doesn't feel cheap, or whatever, that some events that transpired may serve a longer term storyline. Definitely a "good" show in my opinion."

[4.0] "I consider this show a low point for recent AEW product for a few reasons. The in-ring work is generally not the problem and I justify that by pointing to an excellent women's world title match, incredible showings from Ospreay vs Knight, Briscoe vs Fletcher, and the triple threat. This PPV showcased a few problems to me. First is that the outcomes are intensely predictable. The only match that wasn't basically foretold was Briscoe vs Fletcher. 9 of the 10 matches basically had no surprise and it hurt emotional investment. That being said, predictability doesn't necessarily kill a good story (some of the very solid matches already mentioned were worth the time and emotion from their work alone, I was still invested in the ones listed above and the tag title match despite easily predicting their conclusions). Context, however, really kills a few of these. There's a lot of fatigue around the death riders and Mox, this is Adam Cole's third shot at the TNT title when previously he's had the logic of a kid blaming a controller for losing the game, Ring of Honor is basically a hood ornament for AEW at this point, and Mercedes being a belt collector is compelling at times but in this case specifically, Julia Hart has so much of the crowd behind her and I think she deserves another chance at the push (Mercedes has enough legitimacy that she doesn't need the tournament at all to be in the picture). I'm glad that ROH has a relevant match on the card, but Jericho has been a net negative for the belt and we got him vs Bandido in a dusty finish of all things while the wild range of talent on the women's roster still only get 2 matches and about 30 minutes total on a 5 HOUR show. The AEW World Title had 11 non-competitors interfering with things in a 1v1 non-stipulated match. What are we doing here? This is the type of PPV that makes it hard to recommend getting invested in this to folks who aren't already fans. I can't imagine being new to wrestling, seeing this, and walking away thinking that titles are important and that this would be worth adding to a weekly routine."

Two high spots, Trios Title was solid with it's memorable aftermath and the 3 way was lots of fun and talent on display. Not even deflated about the Main Event as it's become an apathetically predictable anticlimax. Here's a thought for the double agents in booking seemingly intent on murdering all remnants of interest in the company's top belt, now that Jericho's at a bit of loose end, why not get him involved? That would be just perfect."

"AEW Dynasty was an odd show. It had a lot of good action which is pretty standard for a AEW PPV. But, eventually the length and similarity of each match began to drag. Osprey and Knight had a great match but how many finishers does Osprey need to finish someone off. The ending match felt like a FU to the fans and really did not make the 5 hour investment feel worth it. The international triple threat was the match of the night, despite Speedball trapping himself on the turnbuckle."

[7.0] "It was a decent PPV, but you could tell it wasn't an "important" one. Will and Kevin were good in general - one of the worst Will matches I have seen in recent times (which isn't the slur it sounds), looked a little hasty at the beginning. I know it was a last-minute switch, and I'm not sure how much TV experience, if any, Kevin has, finished great. It just lacked something. - 7 Hurt business - these guys are great, I have never seen Bobby wrestle before AEW, really, and he looks so impressive in AEW with there being fewer massive people. Both great, looking forward to them handing the belts to a good up-and-coming team to give someone the rub, but they need to remain dominant to make it mean something. Bill and Keith were thrown together last minute. - 6 Mercedes Mone and Julia - much better than expected - People saying Mercedes is phoning it in haven't watched a match recently. When she first turned up, I didn't see what the appeal was, and whilst I still don't think she is even close to being the top women's wrestler in AEW, let alone the world, she has impressed a lot more and is a good addition to the women's roster. Julia continues to get better - 6 Death Riders VS RFTR - glad death riders won, makes sense. Again, not a lot of this story is intriguing at the moment, although I am interested in what happens with FTR. - 6 Toni - Megan - fantastic Match, Megan looks great already, and Toni, since breaking away from whatever the hell was going on with Saraya's little squad, is about the best thing in the women's division along with Athena. - 8 Kyle - Mark - great again, I've watched Kyle a few years now, and it's insane to even think this is the same person. Amazing work to uplift his career, it's sad, but Mark injuring himself might have been the best thing for Kyle. Briscoe, as always, will take anything to make the other person look good. Always knew Kyle was winning, but a fun match. Bandido vs Chris for the 3rd time in recent memory, Bandido being the ROH champ, makes perfect sense, presumed this was happening at some point. Hopefully the ROH belt can be seen on ROH now. Cole vs Garcia - Garcia isn't good enough to have the TNT belt in my opinion, he just isn't at that level yet. It's the 2nd belt, and you have Ricochet and Kenny fighting for belt no4. make no sense. Glad Adam won, I just hope he gets back on track, he has not performed well since his return, and he should stop trying to do the Panama Sunrise, I don't think he has done it correctly in a long time. Ken V Mike V Trev - as you'd expect really, slightly awkward as its 3 men, they set up the match great at the beginning, haveing someone constantly getting taken out by the 3rd man, Ricochet is still as good in the ring as he was in Lucha and PWG, and his Heel character is great, hated when he first came across as he was just "WWES Riccochet" Mike Bailey I presume is less well know then the other too, but for those that had seen him I am sure presumed he would at least do a good job in the ring. Mox vs Swerve - it was fine, it was a sub standard Mox match and because of that a lot of Jons lazier traits dont get ignored as easy (He never remotely attempts to hide discussing the spots, or the blades etc) I dislike any slow matches and mox can be quite a slow worker, this certainly didn't start like that with Jon showing off some of his, what I presume are WARMASTER taguht skills, and doing some great grapple work with swerve, Mox came across in quite a natural way as a better grappler, which I presume is true, but if it was just "sold" like that then bravo. it then went brawly, Jon attempted to open Swerve up the hard way and failed, bravo to swerve for just taking multiple shots though, Mox then chucked him under the announce table, and god knows what he used to open him up as it didn't look like a blade, but knowing Jon it could of been a microphone head, you gotta have a talent :). the match was fine at this point, then out came the death riders for no real reason to interfere. The Ops then come down and brawl with them for no real reason other than to set up future matches? which does sound cool, Mox vs Joe would be great. I digress. Fans were quite in and out of it at the beginning, too, I thought, but this was probably hour 25 of the event, so I get it. Lights go out, for some reason I thought Sting might of of been showing up with Darbs? But we got the Young bucks, crowd cheered, then I think they realised they had Swerve in a BTE trigger. God knows what's going on here, but I guess that's why you "tune in to next week, etc...". Anyway Mox wins, makes sense to me, crowd were gutted, they had been stood up a fair bit at this point from some great near falls. I don't feel like I know enough yet. Are we getting a new belt, I wonder? I am not even sure what they are fighting for anymore, really, as that seems to have changed a few times. But ill wait till I hear the end of the story before I decide on it, I have enough intrigue and Jon has single handedly at times carried that company, Pandemic champ, After the Punk incident etc. and on his day can do a fantastic promo, he can just also sometimes be a bit lazy and just say angry words, but that's fine, he's Jon F'King Moxley."

I do think that Swerve should have won I don't know why they are keeping Moxley as champion maybe swerve will get another shot at Double or Nothing because of the interference I don't know I just think it was a missed opportunity. The triple threat match was awesome it was really ricochet and speedball that did the heavy lifting but Omega looked like a badass and then after the match the coin drop hit and I popped so hard that was an amazing moment. Fletcher vs Briscoe was a really outstanding match. Toni made Megan look like a million bucks Megan. I enjoyed the Mercedes match. and the opener was really good. overall a solid PPV all together one of their weaker PPV's but I still think Worlds Ends 2023 is their worst."

I never expected Swerve to win honestly and for me it is obvious that the world championship will change hands at all in. In a way a feel the frustration that everybody is feeling right now is all in service to the moment when Mox will lose. As for the other matches they were all solid and most of them carried interesting stories for the future. Yes, the Jerico-Bandido finish was kind of silly and nonsensical, but at least it was really cathartic for Bandido in the final moment."

The Opener was great, of course Ospreay and Knight are gonna have a quality match. The tag title match was alright, so was Mone/Hart and the Trios match. Toni Storm is great as always, but in terms of length, this was too long. Kyle Fletcher and Mark Briscoe were one of the highlights of the night but I would've been fine with them on TV. The Finish to the Mask vs Title match sucked, Cole and Garcia didn't have the heat. I did like the triple threat but it did possibly peak. And the Moxley story isn't clicking with the audience, and tbh the thought of Mox match at All In does lower my enthusiasm for that show. I hope they can pivot somewhere down the line or at the very least not wait for Darby."

Trios title match was alright and hopefully leads to something good. Women's title match was good. Kyle Mark, another solid match in the tournament. ROH title was terribly booked. TNT title, again booking a washed Adam Cole as the champion over a young Garcia, bad. Kenny Mike Ricochet went too long. And finally the king of bad booking in the main event."

The match quality would flop from being good & action-packed or alright/standard affair for exception The Opening Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight was a good opener despite some hiccups then followed by a underwhelming Tag Title Match. The MOTN for me definitely were Triple-Threat for the International Championship (definitely the only thing you could watch out of everything) & Kyle Fletcher vs. Mark Briscoe. The Main Event was very disappointing as I lost interest a few minutes for everything to get thrown at the wall with typical Moxley's antics."

I shall not belabor the point -- the booking decisions in the main event made the Revolution match and its "ending" seem reasonable. One of the most electric moments in AEW history was on the tips of our tongues, but I suppose starvation suits us wrestling fans. Otherwise, some very high highs, notably the International Championship three way, the opening Owen Hart Cup quarterfinal between Will Ospreay and Kevin Knight, and the Women's World Championship match between Toni Storm and a very impressive challenger in Megan Bayne. The ROH World Championship match was my clear weak point, the match was very strangely paced and the ending was off-the-wall. A solid night of wrestling, ruined by an ending that makes less sense the more I type; I would be far, far crankier had I written this in the morning."

Grand Slam: Australia '25 was a better quality event and that was free. I think 7 PPVs a year is the sweet spot for AEW. They had Okada, Takeshita, Hangman, MJF et al. on the PPV but not wrestling. Meanwhile, we've had to pay to watch Julia Hart, Big Bill, '25 Jericho and '25 Adam Cole wrestle on PPV? This is precisely what made it feel like a Dynamite/Collision special instead of a PPV. Dynasty and Wrestle Dream aren't needed in the PPV calendar if they're only going to half-ass them. 7.9 overall rating from me."

You know it's bad when their PPVs don't hit the same anymore as their weekly shows had fallen off the cliff for some time. They were able to get away with a terrible main event at Revolution because the rest of the card was watchable but that is not the case here. I knew they were in trouble when at least half of the card was pretty much a weekly TV match so the main event had to do a lot of heavy lifting and it did not so this PPV ended up being really poor, it was more like a glorified Dynamite and not a great one at that. Like I said watch the fantastic Toni-Bayne match and international title and skip the rest. Definitely don't waste your time watching 30 minutes of nonsensical main event."

From top to bottom there were many major issues I have with it, that show the continued decline of AEW. 1. Shock value over sensible booking. Why did FTR turn on Cope? Why did Cash do this? Why have the Bucks return for the main event? This is pure shock value that hurts storylines. 2. Over reliance on very dangerous moves. There were too many to count. Many of these were sort of botched, "botched" where the wrestlers needed to be safe to it didn't come off looking good. The Adam Cole move on the stairs is a perfect example. Why script these overly dangerous moves? 3. Pretty much every match having way too many kickouts of multiple finishers. This is a staple of AEW but when every match does it, it's ridiculous. 4. Can we PLEASE end the death riders. Everyone hates it, it's driving people away from AEW. Swerve should have gotten the title so we can just leave the death riders to history."

Swerve Strickland and Jon Moxley had a good match but it devolved into the same exact bullshit that has plagued Moxley and the Death Riders ever since WrestleDream last year. I think this one is extremely egregious because Strickland is one of the most popular guys on the roster and the way he lost was so fucking stupid. Essentially, The Young Bucks made their return and decided to cost Strickland. Yes, the same Young Bucks that disappeared from TV months ago because of the the Death Riders helped them. What is the absolute fuck? ! ? This just drive me insane as yet again, Jon Moxley retained via fuckery and this goddamn reign. I don't know what Tony has planned to be the end goal of this, but I guarantee it will not be worth it. Everyone and their mother has openly criticized this storyline and I think their patience has worn thin. I think everyone would've been okay with a pivot but TK is sticking to guns, much to the detriment of the fans. The rest of the show was pretty good. The Owen Hart Tournament matches were fun, we saw FTR turn heel on Adam Copeland, Bandido took the ROH Championship from Chris Jericho in a quite poor match. However, the main eventvwas honestly one of more frustrating booking decisions of the year and a rare example of AEW's stubbornness with an angle being actively pissing off the fans."

For every decent match, there was another match and a half of okayish wrestling you could probably do without. I prefer having a a good number of matches on a show compared to 5-match PPVs, but that doesn't mean it's all PPV worthy."

The last two matches delivered very well in my opinion, despite the main event receiving such a lower response, I liked it, and the previous matches were ups and downs, but very filler, a lot of bouts felt like a Dynamite or Collision match."
