[5.0] "Kind of a lazy effort from WCW this week. I remember watching this one live and being shocked by the transformation of Scott Steiner. I remember my girlfriend enjoyed this episode, but it turned out to be a dud in the long run."

[5.0] "It's a nothing episode but I'm so happy to so many of the Saturday Night Show guys getting on NITRO. Brad Armstrong, Hammer, Kaz Hayashi, Lenny Lane, The freaking Renegade ah that's great. Best moment of the night is Disco and Eddie having just a great cruiserweight bout."

[4.0] "Good to see the Scott Steiner storyline evolving. This episode is a very forgettable one though. There's a handful of mediocre matches sprinkled in with a solid bout between Guerrero and Disco Inferno, and the promos the show ends on, with Ric Flair, Bret Hart, The Giant and the big finale, isn't all that bad. I mean even Brian Adams doesn't look awful on the mic for once. Other than that, it's a pretty big letdown coming off a solid PPV."

[6.0] "Wrestlers talking about Scott Steiner was... strange, but this is good story. Hollywood Hogan even without title is the most important wrestler in WCW. His rivalry with Randy Savage is very good. Triangle story with Benoit, DDP and Raven is perfect fot midcard. After a few weeks Chris Jericho is the best Cruiserweight Champion in WCW history. I'm sick of story with Nick Patrick, he is very toxic. The Giant returned and resume his story with Kevin Nash. I don't know why Brian Adams received push and feud with Bret Hart. Final segment was good and Scott Hall is new rival for Sting."

[6.0] "An overall good show with some flaws at the end. In the good category, you have a great Raven/Benoit match, a really good Saturn/Nagata match, and fun short matches with Dragon/Hayashi, V&D/High Voltage, and Flair/Brad. But Sting/Hall never happens despite being advertised and Hall complaining for weeks about not getting a shot, but he shows up in a Sting costume (for some reason) and beats up Sting before the match even starts. Worse, Sting gets spray painted and humiliated, so much for him, and plays second fiddle to Randy Savage's drama with the nWo. And perhaps worst, the Disciple (AKA Brutus Beefcake) joins the nWo with no real explanation, despite being rejected from the group early in the nWo angle. A lot of things are still great in WCW, but more cracks are showing than in '97."
