[3.0] "This thirteenth edition of Bloodsport is not inherently a bad show, but is the embodiment of the lapse of an interesting concept into laziness and normalization. Bloodsport used to be a fairly unique platform, at least in the US, for wrestlers that didn't fit into the mainstream mold to showcase their shoot wrestling style and personality without compromising. That allowed me to discover unique talents like Jordan Blade, incidentally one of the few, if not the last talent on this card that carries the original spirit of the Bloodsport. Now most of the wrestlers come from important promotions and nearly half from WWE. Don't get me wrong, they are all legitimate in some from to be there and it is sometimes nice to see them in this environment, I just wish the balance would be more in favor of independent talents. The styles that used to be so diverse are now watered down into a pseudo-shoot style that is mainly regular stuff just with more (fairly mundane) mat wrestling. It is especially egregious during the Wrestlemania week that is supposed to celebrate independent wrestlers."

Insgesamt für mich keine gute Show."

[6.0] "Leyla Hirsch vs Jordan Blade: Good victory for Hirsch in this one, Blade had an okay first Bloodsport fight showing even if did only go just under 4 minutes [*3/4]. Maika vs Karmen Petrovic: Both women gave a good fight within the under 5 minutes they had, Maika submitting Petrovic was the right choice here [*3/4]. Charlie Dempsey vs Shinya Aoki: Dempsey's transitions were smooth, they had the right level of chemistry to make this work, Aoki is great on the mat, Dempsey getting the win was surprising against Aoki [***]. Karrion Kross vs JR Kratos: An okay fight, good to see Kross get the win in his hometown, there were a couple of brutal looking moments [**1/4]. Pete Dunne vs Timothy Thatcher: A solid Bloodsport fight here, good to see Dunne compete in a Bloodsport ring especially against Thatcher, they match each other with submissions, the fight was okay [***]. Nattie Neidhart vs Miyu Yamashita: Nattie is suited to Bloodsport fights as shown here, Miyu brought the best out of Nattie and it was a solid fight, better than what I was expecting [**1/2]. Tavion Heights vs Royce Isaacs: A decent Bloodsport debut for Heights, Isaacs was the ideal first Bloodsport opponent for Heights, it was a decent fight that could have had 2-3 minutes cut off of it though [**1/2]. Shayna Baszler vs Konami: A fine fight between these two, needed more time to really step it up to the next gear which it needed to be with, Shayna winning was no surprise [*3/4]. Zack Sabre Jr vs Jonathan Gresham: Two technical masters doing what they do best within a ring even if it did mean going into overtime with them going to the 15 minute time limit and being allowed an extra 5 minutes on top, what a fight for Bloodsport, I enjoyed this way more than I thought I would [****1/4]. Gabe Kidd vs Josh Barnett: A fine fight to end the show, don't think it should have main evented the show, it lacked the depth it needed considering how violent these two can really get when they get going, Kidd winning was a surprise as was rooting for Barnett [**1/4]"

[7.0] "[6.9] Overall pretty good. I'm personally not incredibly thrilled with the amount of WWE talent on the show, 7 matches on a 10 match card featuring someone from WWE (not even their big names, either) and all of them except Petrovic going over was a bit of a downer and nothing there is really stand-out fantastic except Dempsey/Aoki and Nattie/Miyu, but once you get out of that it's pretty good. ZSJ and Gresham absolutely stole the show and Kidd/Barnett was fairly entertaining."

[6.0] "WWE Main Event Presents Bloodsport. This show had bad vibes from it feeling out of place in such a nice venue and the reek of WWE guys who can't get regular minutes on the thousands of hours of TV they put out each week all going over bar one. There were just enough good matches to not make this a complete wash."

[7.0] "The Bloodsport on the WrestleMania week was a fun show to watch, even though I don't particularly enjoy the direction that the event is heading, this had WWE talent on 7/10 matches, and only one lost, Karmen Petrovic in the first of the seven matches in a row. It's kind of a bummer to me, because this isn't the essence of the show, but that's not something to discuss here. Anyway, I can understand the card choice, because it's the Mania Week and they want to sell tickets and make people watch the show, so I watched, like I usually do, and it was fun, there wasn't a match that transcended and reached next level, but the show was very regular, every match had one or two interesting elements, and one really stood out for me, the Tavion Heights one, it was my personal favorite."

This stands out as one iof the shows of the week thus far. Bloodsport may feature a lot of WWE wrestlers these days but the soul and feel of the show has not changed."

[8.0] "This edition of the Josh Barnett was a pure success: practically every match was good, the mix of multiple federations gave us unthinkable matches and sent out a fine message of unity. Because before being a fan of one company or several, we are above all wrestling fans. I'd like to take this opportunity to mention the discussion between Gabe and Josh at the end of the show, which moved me. Well done to everyone who helped make this show happen, it was so cool !"

While I enjoyed all these matches my favorite one was surprisingly Barnett/Gabe. I didn't think anything went over a 6/10 either. A fun but overall inconsequential show. Also cool seeing all these WWE guys aswell"

"No rating, just how dumb this card is. You have the option to put Gresham vs Dunne, Tavion, or Dempsy (Considering Gresham isn't signed anywhere) and you decide to put him against ZSJ for another match with each other. You could've put ZSJ with any of them too. I assume WWE put together their matches and they don't want their boys losing to guys but also, they had NJPW guy facing Tavion and imagine ZSJ faced Dunne, Tavion, or Dempsy. Fumbles on this card majorly cause of WWE. Gabe Kidd vs Karion Kross would've been much better to see but I understand that Gabe Kidd is NJPW's future Gaijin Golden Boy."

[7.0] "This was a really solid show. One outstanding match (Aoki vs Dempsey) with Gresham and ZSJ delivering, as expected, and a good outing from everyone else. The two openers were average, but acceptable, with Aoki and Dempsey really marking the start of the show. All the WWE guys were clean, and showed their class. Nattie impressed and set something up with Kenzie Page (for the NWA show she's booked for, I believe). This was an entertaining show that didn't overstay its welcome, and I enjoyed the segment between Barnett and Kidd at the end. Good stuff. ***1/2."

Obviously, ZSJ and Jonathan Gresham was a good match but I'm peaking Dempsey Shinya as my best match on the show. And all the finishes made sense. A satisfactory show."
