[7.0] "It was a good event. The best match was Taichi vs Kidd for the New Japan Cup.It was a very good match i can say and it will be even better without H.O.T interference which of course was in the part of Bullet Club civil war. From other matches L.I.J vs Hontai was the best match and it was good enough."
[6.0] "Luckly the undercard was better than usual and both NJC delivered although the vast majority of people doesn't think so. Overall it was probably the best NJC show up to this point and it in terms of storylines they have done quite a lot in there. ***"
[6.0] "TAKA Michinoku & Yuya Uemura vs Daiki Nagai & YOSHI-HASHI: A fine opening match that was average at best, not a lot really happening in it, TAKA got the submission win [*3/4]. Satoshi Kojima, Tomohiro Ishii & Yuji Nagata vs Hirooki Goto, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Katsuya Murashima: An okay preview of Goto/Nagata, Kojima got the win for his team which was interesting [**]. Callum Newman, Jeff Cobb & TJP vs Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr: An interesting set of exchanges from Cobb and Jackson, TJP and ZSJ and Newman and Oiwa, solid match [**3/4]. BUSHI, Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito & Yota Tsuji vs Boltin Oleg, El Phantasmo, Jado & Toru Yano: It did what it needed to do and that was to preview Shingo and Boltin, the action was kept to what it needed to be [**]. EVIL, Ren Narita, SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi vs Bad Luck Fale, Chase Owens, David Finlay, Drilla Moloney & SANADA: Typical brawl to start and then the match was just meh, average pacing and HoT getting the win was meh [*1/2]. Taichi vs Gabe Kidd: Could have been a 4.5* match as it was physical and really good for the most part but HoT coming out and getting involved and the count out outcome was not necessary as could have had a winner by pinfall or submission, a rematch is definitely needed [****]. Shota Umino vs Great O-Khan: Thought this match was boring to be honest, not of the same quality as their previous matches, lost interest in this one [*1/2]"

[6.0] "A very tame Night 4 of the New Japan Cup. The preliminary tags were stuff we've already seen but Yuya Uemura getting to address Ehime was nice and I'm very curious about him getting close to YOSHI-HASHI. I firmly believe that Uemura is going to be the next face of Hontai and he's looked fantastic since his return. They're planting very obvious seeds for SANADA vs Finlay. SANADA barely worked the tag match and just stared down Finlay. Him forming his own splinter faction once HoT vs War Dogs is done (likely at Wrestling Dontaku for the BC Anniversary) seems likely. Gabe Kidd vs Taichi was so damn good but the finish spoiled it a bit. Narita screwing over Kidd is fine but Taichi being knocked out for that long from a Piledriver (not even the one Gabe uses as a finisher) was odd. I think there were other ways to work around this but I get wanting to protect Kidd from getting getting pinned. Dangerous Tekkers reunion is finally happening though so I'm very much excited for that. The main event was interesting in both good and bad ways. The match itself was structured in a weird way that it was meant to protect GOK by having him be dominant but it also exposed all of Umino's weaknesses. Shota's moveset is improving and the new additions of the Busaiku Knee and the Second Chapter (Northern Lights Bomb) are perfect. He's working stiffer and with more intensity but he still needs to work on emoting and selling when he's not on the offensive. The ring gear will hopefully change soon but the match could've probably benefited from a more brawler style, but even then, this probably should've happened at Korakuen Hall instead of here. The crowd wasn't as into it and that hurt the match a bit too. Still looking forward to Umino's next step in his new character. He's never beaten Naito and he's never faced Cobb (who I think will beat Naito to secure a tag title match for him and Newman) so that match on the 14th can go either way. Callum Newman on commentary was a bit forgettable. He was pretty quiet for most of it. I'm sure he'll gain more confidence as he does this more and the guy is only around 22 years old so I'm sure it'll hopefully just take time."
